problems with floor trim in doorways
I would like to know about this as well as the connecting
door's (corridors realy) look very outof place with no floor and ceiling trims.
Either that or is there a way to remove floor and ceiling trims from the rooms to match the corridors?
AFAIK, floor trim does not extend into the doorways.
To remove the floor trim, you need to place an object that will overlap the floor trim either on the floor or on the wall, things like lamps, toilet doors, shrubbery, computers and so on are great for removing them, likewise for the ceiling trim as well. If you don't want a trim, you need to "interrupt" it with a decorative or practical item.
I would like to see the trims continued through the doorways myself though, and/or have an option for them to be disabled in a room if you want.
I think the devs should add an option "no trim" for the ceiling and floor trims.. And extend the trims to the doorways. The base editing has lots of bugs. Today I got for instance a floating plasmascreen, invisible objects, the high ceiling "tech grid" = "tech circles" while in medium ceiling it is ok etc..
great idea..
I'll need to check when I go back in, but I think floor and ceiling trims are optional in rooms.
Thanks for the replies guys

They arent, unfortunately. I think the base starts off without trims, but once you have added them theres no way to get rid of them other than placing deco objects on them.
EDIT: and eviltimmatt , great avatar!
I can't seem to add floor trim to floors in doorways.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a know issue? And if I am doing something wrong, how do I get my lovely wall to wall green tinged arcane floor trims back on track? Do I just need some railway sleepers and MDF?
