Wait a minute... -
Hey, I found this:
http://www.begrudged.net/
It's pretty nifty, just watched the first season. It's pretty good! -
Sounds awesome! But how did you translate the camera movements into the program though is what I reaaaaalllly wanna know.
-
Very very awesome!
I love the feek from the piano music and the black and white video.
-
Bloody hell! That's well good! I'm finding it very very hard to be able to demo edit and make good videos.
But top work to you guys!
Amazing!
-
Mez protection is a godsend, I already have CJ and acrobatics, yet every now and then I still end up getting held/sleep which my domination is going on. (Usually with a group hold ready to fire and power boost!)
I feel that dominators are, by and large, fine. They need to sort out the AV's to give us a fighting chance of being able to hit them, this whole purple triangles thing is silly. How can a dominator expect to see the window of opportunity amongst all the special effects a team of 8 Wanging on an AV can bring? -

The recharge of Fulcrum is 3 times that of SP. But let's just agree to disagree on this.

Really??!??? This leaves some interesting possibilities for me. Time to exercise my freespec! -

Indeed (about the OP), but your reply was to Jiaozy who was describing his (PvP) build. For a PvE build, it's definitely a must-must-have. And I agree it's better to have both but I maintain that if you really can't fit them, for 1-on-1 PvP, Fulcrum could be skipped (since with Hasten and SS, you will be stacking SP anyway).
[/ QUOTE ]
Anyone who rolls a character specifically just for 1v1 PvP should get their coat and leave.
nah, not really - even in a 1v1, FS is also a must have, it has a similar recharge to Siphon Power. (or is it faster/slower)?!?? Doesn't matter, even in a 1v1 you can get a potential double stack per FS throw than per siphon power throw, if you're close enough.
I'm still standing by my opinion that Fulcrum Shift is the crowning glory of every Kinetisist, and anyone who doesn't take it is an utter nutter.

FS also uses the same amount of Enduurance as Siphon Power, if I'm correct.
[/ QUOTE ]
FS uses more, but since you have Transference by then, who cares?

Transference FTW! -

For a pure PvP build, Fulcrum is certainly skippable.
[/ QUOTE ]
For 1v1 PvP I woould personally take fulcrum and siphon power every time as they stack and you can destroy your opponents damage with them completely.
I realise that it can be very difficult to fit them both in, though.
[/ QUOTE ]
Isphon power doesn't fit well into my attack chain.
However, trying to configure any character for 1v1 PvP is a bit of a waste, courtesy of the rock, paper, scissors, spock, lizard way PvP works in 1v1. in team PvP, it gives a great boost to everyone both melee and distant.
Wasn't the OP looking for advice on a PvE build? if so, then Fulcrum shift is a 100% Must have, and should be on auto fire. FS also uses the same amount of Enduurance as Siphon Power, if I'm correct. -

I'm inclined to say you can hold a very solid build without needing stamina at all, there are more useful powers to take than hurdle/health et al.
[/ QUOTE ]
If you plan on having 3-4 toggles running (Tactics, Superior Invis, Travel Power and the Epic Shield) you WILL need Stamina or you won't be able to do nothing at all.
I'd never skip stamina on this build since you have lots of stuff to do and the endurance is never enough, even with Transference.
I managed to pick anything bar Group Invis, Fulcrum and Repel on my build along with 2 travel power, Stamina and 3 epics.
The build is REALLY thight but can be done.

TBH guys - I work fine without stamina and 3 toggles running. But whatever you feel is neccessary. (extra slots put into end redux FTW) -

Have to agree here, a well slotted transference (Mine for a PvP Build is 2 acc/2 end recov/2 recharge and there's NEVER a moment without it recharging, fire it off at every point and you can carry on for frigging ages. Even when I have 3 toggles running.
Really, before you get transference, you can get stamina, but stamina itself becomes redundant.
Some great things I've found for PvE and PvP:
MUST ALWAYS USE POWERS AT EVERY FRIGGING OPPORTUNITY
Transference. Siphon Speed, Fulcrum Shift, Spectral Terror, Hasten, Blind, Spectral Wounds, Phantasm
Seriously, if any of the above powers have recharged, get into the best position to fire them off. If neccessary, dismiss your phantasm and resummon it in order to get the best fulcrum shiftage from it. Always remember to Speed Boost your pet to maximise its DPS! Take advantage of ID as well to free the pet. And buff buff buff your way through, you'll be speedy.
REPEL:
Useful at early levels, but really, as most of the best abilities (Fulcrum Shift, Transfusion, Transference) give bonuses within a close range to your enemy targets... Why would you REALLY want to knock them away? Especially if they're in a funky line for your phantasm to plough through, useful to pick up early.
Being an ill/kin what keeps me best alive are speed - awesome healing - WTFPWNZ end recovery - Uber damage buffs for me and teammates.
Also pick up Speed Boost and Increase Density - but only use them when your pet needs it and/or your team requests their use, it's very hard and time consuming and TBH a waste of time keeping a team of 8 perma-SB'd
Superior Vs Group invis
Right slotting, Group Invis can be sorta perma. Superior invis better if you plan on soloing lots, but I love group invis anyways.
Phantom Army
Must have, send these lot in first to every fight to soak up the alpha strike.
Flash
An ok group hold, if you ignore the ACC penalty, worth slotting if you're going to PvE LOADS - for PvP, generally useless. As you'll pick on one target at a time with a great Blind/Spectral Wounds/Air Superiority/Psionic Tornado combo to send them flying about nicely.
Did I mention flight is a good power pool choice? If you're going to be doing my route of playing an ill/kin and trying to maintain a triple-stacked siphon speed all the time, you'll need hover (and hasten). Get into the practice of whenever Transference is ready of selecting the nearest enemy (or convenient enemy) hitting F and then letting the power go. Unlike running, it's very hard to miss your mark, plus you can do some real crazy stuff with insanely-fast-hovering! It's great! Love ittttttttt....
Anyways, enough drunken rambling, time for bed! Cheerio!
EDIT: I forgot the beauty that is confuse, a bit dud in PvE because of the wealth of pseudo-control powers you have that are AoE. (Ill is very controlling, AoE hold, AoE fear, A triple team of tankers to summon, lots of aggro redirection as opposed to outright holding.) it can be fun to slim down a very large mob when soloing. But its real beauty is in PvP! -
I'm gonna go with B6 because of the logic shown above. He was pwnzded by that longbow there, not dismissed by you!

OPTI!!! *bounces around you like a crazy lunatic* -
Dominators are huge fun, my grav/energy is great fun, especially with the new physics effects.
They're quite like a weak controller and a weak blaster combined. However, once you hit that domination button you become as powerful as (if not more powerful than) both for a short while. Huge fun!
Can't wait until I get total focus! -
Laustin will be up for that.
If I'm available that day I'll stomp about for you.
-
I'm interested to see if the community leaders will organise another S4 or equivalent.
-
eh? I can still post on this thing? What's up with that?
Hello! Might I count as being too old for school? Or because I'm a lazy bum/student I'm still in school? -
Decieve is the bomb in PvP - if you're planning on PvPing, it's a must have.
Powers I'll be skipping come next respec:
Flash, Decieve, Group Invis, Siphon Power, Repel.
I use Siphon Speed and Inertial Reduction as my travel powers, along with fly, gives me great 3D manoeverability, and as hover is very responsive with starting and stopping, you'll find you won't overshoot your target if you dive into battle for a quick transfusion, transference or fulcrum shift.
I ditch siphon power, because, well, it ain't all that hugely useful once you've got fulcrum shift slotted well.
Bear in mind, I'm making a primarily PvP based build. So you might want to alter what you take to taste.
Long and the short of it, you've got to be as fast as you can, to maximise your insane power spamming, if you get the balance just right, you'll never be left waiting for a power to recharge and neither will you ever be running out of endurance.(And I didn't even have hasten either, Siphon Speed FTW!)
-
I'll put my prospective build up when I can be bothered.
It's VERY secondary heavy, mind. -
The missiles are worth it for the comedy factor though.
-
Yeah, confuse makes other players con green and/or red regardless of them being friendly or not.
As to wether your PA's are also confused - I'm not totally sure, hence why I'd like to run a couple of experiements, if I can find a suitable ill or mind controller to go into Warburg with me.
I am SO not going into bloody bay, frikking Laustin only has siphon speed as a travel power at level 25!
