There is a thread that lists regular events HERE. More of a weekly timetable of when things happen.
One off events like 3vP are normally publicised well in advance either in this PvP forum or in the relevant server forums.
Come on then Kins - you're the daddy of the PvP shizzle on Union. Hows abouts you organise a league table and a cup.
Then, we can have a European Cup (on test) against the other servers, where top 3 in the league and the last 4 in the cup battle the other league and cup winners from the other servers.
You can do it for both solo and also a team maybe?

After the one me and Ronin arranged a few weeks back, it did kind of put me off a bit TBH. Most people were great but the one or two who whinged and complained did kind of overshadow that.
I have looked into various ways of making a weekly league but the bottom line is that solo PvP is too unbalanced and team PvP is almost impossible to guarantee the full team will turn up every week to make a league workable.
I've even looked at 'ladder' leagues rather than traditional points ones where there is a random or seeded draw to establish league order and each week there are 'challenges' with every result affecting the ladder.
Another alternative is to have players score points individually but make it a 3vP style team event where each player is responsible for getting a team of three and fighting another team of 3. Each player then gets the points if their team wins. The problem here is that you'll just get the best or same players teaming with each others.
A way around this would be to say you can only team with a maximum of one of the players you teamed with the week before and divide the table in 3 so you have to have one from each level of the table in a team, meaning people dropping or moving up will move into different parts of the table, making teams a bit more random.
A simple 3 points for a win and maybe a bonus point if you beat them by more than 10 kills. Maybe running in 5 week periods then having one week breaks or possibly having it ongoing with a waiting list with bottom 3 relegated from the league each week and next 3 from the signup list taking their place. That way, the league size can be increased or decreased as the wating list shrinks and grows.
Either way, it's certainly not something I'll even be looking at in any more detail until 3vP is over and every system I've looked at has loads of wrinkles that would need ironing out.

I'll make a post about its soon with all the rules and how the league will work and I'll stick it up. See if anyone signs up and if we get enough them its game on. If we don't get any interested then nothing lost.
I think a league will work because although, as you say, PvP isn't very solo friendly, if its a league, then it should balance out better than a cup.

Seriously though I really hope theres another s4 type competition this summer. I'm really counting on bridger to confirm if there is one, it would really be great and i know for a fact there would be a much better turnout that last time.

No one is saying that PvP is balanced for solo. Thats why I'll do a league and not a cup at the moment. Be nice to know who the best solo'ers are though. People always go on about rock-scissors-paper. Well I think its time we found out who the best rock is, the best scissors and the best paper are.
I don't even know if its balanced for teams to be honest.

I agree. If we'd end up with a specific team composition for team league that would win more than others, then it wouldn't be any more balanced than 1vs1. Since I have seen powernova(a defender) beat a blaster(or was it a scrapper) in a duel, I think there is more to dueling than people give credit to.
Having a duelist league would give us some results to talk about. Denying something without even trying is not very intelligent imo.
