Yes, and when I examined and counted the sales receipt, all twelve items listed as 33 each adds up to 396 on 400 point bundle that claims you are getting a discount. Which is why I made the OP in the first place. The sales receipt is still giving false information, and gave me my reason to post.

Telling someone to look at the individual item prices when the bundle prices are what are being listed wrong, is not helpful. Individual item pricing should have separate pricing anyways, even if the Bundle pricing get listed accurate. Sure, 400 and 396 are both less than what the individual sales prices would add up too. But it does not change the fact the sales receipt numbers add up to something that was less than 400.

I'd have made a similar topic if the sales receipt pricing added up to more than 400, because the sales receipt would still be wrong even though I didn't lose anything.

I wouldn't have had any reason to make this topic if the sales receipt was accurate.
  2. Yeah, I feel like I'm getting punished for looking daring to read my sales receipt here. Not to mention, if a sales receipt is giving inaccurate numbers, what am I supposed to trust?

So, not the problem I posted thinking. But still very much a problem.

They did on my 'items purchased' after sale totals. Alas, no screenshot. But still, when you get shown 12 items listing 33 each (=396), what do you think initial assumptions will be?

Does this mean it's all just a terrible rounding error misunderstanding? That's definitely a better end result, even if initially misleading.

    Enter Game Sound

I too, miss the old amazing sound of logging in. Entering City meant business!

Now, oh, mouse click. How exciting.
  5. I didn't realize until after I bought it, but think about it.

The bundle costs 400 points, and claims it is at a cumulative discount.

There are 12 items in the bundle, each at costing 33 points seperatly.

    33x12 = 396.

Sure, it's only a four point difference. But it's still a bundle that costs MORE than buying all the parts individually. Yeesh.

    Dooooooom!

I don't particularly view it as pigeonholing, simply as...well...simplifying. There's a rather large amount of forums to sift through here on our boards, and to a new, or even veteran player who hasn't spent time on the forums, it's a bit confusing.

Forums should be easy to understand at a glance.
A clear and obvious 'No, don't do that' from the masses. Met with a 'what if we still did it anyways?' response.

Methinks the forums are already slated to be merged, and Zwillinger got stuck with the lame task of making it look like we have a say. If I turn out to be wrong, and look like an idiot if they don't merge them, small price to pay.

Echo of the countless obvious reasons merging the Archetypes would be bad here.

As for other areas of the board, I took a quick peek and beyond making it more obvious that Bug Reports are in Development as opposed to Player Help (That often throws me off), I can't think of any good reason to change the thread structure.
  7. What I find myself saying often to both new, and long time players that all of a sudden could not find anything on the map when head start launched (And that I almost asked for help regarding myself, until I remembered Going Rogue pulled this as well).

"They changed the map options without telling anyone again, you have to turn them all back on to see anything."

    Sad Sonics

    My 2 cents.

I love my /Sonic controller, it was my very first controller.

However, sonic siphon feels basically pointless, when Tankers get -20% resistance debuffs packaged into their level 1 attacks for free as an inherent these days.

Tanker Tier 1 attacks are Faster, actually deal damage, used often enough with their short recharge that their tiiiny debuff duration doesn't feel like a downside.
  9. I would say the confuse.

Having your protections hammered into the ground is nothing new. Not to mention Unresistable attacks being nothing new either when they want to stick it to the Players to drive home just how dangerous and special an enemy is.

Meanwhile, a full area full of confusion status is just insane. It leaves anyone without built in protection punished (I'm currently leveling an elec/elec tanker to eventually make up for all the help my Controller Got in trials, and they won't be any good for the UG because Elec armor has no confuse protection built in).

It means if you had a buff or heal queued up, and you get confused in the meantime then congratulations, you have just healed and/or buffed the Avatar instead.

Though the worst part is it takes away choice, or at least many people seem to believe you have no choice and if you don't act accordingly then they will spend the last end of the UG screaming about Clarions. The Incarnate system is supposed to be a wonderful extra, to make you feel good about having some new power, power you have worked to build and picked what you like best.

Nobody has ever complained when they get buffed with a T4 Rebirth, or a T4 Ageless during the rest of an UG trial that I've ever seen. But the second the Avatar fight starts up, these same people who were enjoying your buffs turn around and start ranting over the fact everyone in the leauge didn't make and bring nothing but T4 Clarions.

Of course, the worst thing about the UG trial to me was a bug. When my last UG trial attempt made it to the avatar fight, Desdemona became unargetable even though she was still alive and the Trial Window's health listing showed her as still standing. Not to mention would not follow those marked as her leader. So nobody could ever find the lady to survive the seed bombs. (No, she did not die when nobody was looking, right before the trial ended from everyone quitting I ran across her again).

Sure, that last bit is clearly a bug. But it was the worst thing to me. Even though it's not any form of insanity that occurs by design.

There is only one reason I would ever run a UG trial now. To build up Incarnate experience for a fresh lv 50. However, with the current mentality around the UG right now, I doubt you'd avoid getting kicked from most of them, or invited in the first place as a fresh 50 unless they were desperate for members.
  10. Just remember (as the patch notes say), that they also took out the 100% stun chance.

Granted, I never attempted to stunlock with the thing myself, so the high damage early really helped out my dust collecting MA/SR Scrapper.
  11. I have a fire/Devices, alas I have skipped AT and need the room for the upcoming epic powers (I did get, and 6 slot, timebomb though on principle. At least the larger than Tripmine blast radius helps occasionally solo, but nobody ever wants to wait on teams for a 9 second cast + 15 second timer bomb. Even when I can Cloaking Device+SS into the middle of a mob to place it). But while this is being talked about I have a question regarding AT as it is now.

Does it still lock onto a single target and then never stop firing on that one alone until the target dies, like it's description says? Because the odds of the thing targeting an AV during a trial like that seem astronomical.
  12. Yeah, my lone 50 on Freedom is currently locked in Skyway limbo. I headed through the train after joining some pals to help with Synapse... Things went downhill from there. I've gone through skyway just fine other days so this is new for me.

So many stability patches, but the game seems to be falling apart instead.
  13. Just going to add a small thing here, and leave the deep philosophical angles to others.

I ignore the tip lore completely towards the Going Redside end. Because pretty much your only options are pants on head crazy.

All the talk about shades of grey, but it's even more black and white than ever before because the only way you would ever turn away from Paragon City is because you crave the delicious flesh of kittens, according to the Tips.

Only mildly related, I find it amusing that Rebels get the Villain veteran titles while the Loyalists get the Hero veteran titles. That's some clearly labeled Good and Evil right there in Shades of Grey land. Meanwhile in the Valentines Day events, Rebels are considered Heroes and Loyalists are considered villains for mission requirements.

    Anyone else?

Well, there is the announcement that the maintenance is over... But when I log in, all servers are just unelectable triple grey dots for me even though it's past 6 PM eastern.
  15. I wish I could help you, because I noticed this happen to me as well tonight. Oddly, any Macro I have where the ONLY entry is a single emote, it works. Any time I try to have a Macro do more than one thing, then they just say <em emotehere>

... granted, the point of having pets SAY things is somewhat lost to me when they can't talk in Local in any way I can manage, only [Pet]. Which made those Eye of the Tiger sing along macros I made ages back (which stopped working at all and since deleted) kinda pointless.

So, still some luck for if all you want the macro to do is a single emote, or a single spoken comment. Not so good if you want different summons to do different emotes with a single macro, or have them use an emote on top of saying something.

A pathetic workaround for my goal, since I only wanted to make each summon type do a different party pack dance, was to make three different Petsay_pow macros, and one for my PC's dance number (at least th. Still annoying though.

In other question news, is there any known list of Emotes that just do not work at all for Summons? I don't mean misaligned like a summoned robot having a laptop off to their side, I blame the fact robots are not shaped like people. I mean, ones that just plain do not happen even if you get the commands right.
  16. Huh, I knew that the secondary power set rez specifically state that they do not work on minions. But I had assumed that the medicine pool rez would work.

Not that I could test, my only Mastermind is a Bots. But this leads me to a different question. If it is impossible to rez minions ever... What is the point of the game stating that Robotic and Necromancy minions can not be resurrected in power set description, when no mention of this is made for Mercenaries, thugs, or Ninjas?

It makes one assume that 'the downside to robots and Necromancy is that you can't rez them'. Were you once able to rez the 'human' sets, but that has since been patched out without the flavor text being altered or something?
  17. Well, the other day I mentioned what I had considered the best usage of a particular Temp Power after I had used it in a particular fashion. I was then pointed to this thread and asked if I had taken any screenshots. Alas, I had not.

Fortunately, future missions allowed me to rectify this mistake. I don't feel it's worth taking up a significant chunk of board real-estate, but worth at least an opening image to show you what's coming.

    Three! Two! One!
    ZerAAARG!
I also learned the body stays visible if you Boom in water. Learning is both fun, and painful.

Longtime lurker who barely reads the boards, so please be gentle with any beatings if this is a horribly travesty of an image post.
  18. Jumping on the 'I updated to the latest ATI drivers and have had constant crashes since' bandwagon.
  19. It's been ages since I've made a post but I made a quick check of the within past few days old topics here and in 'player help', and I didn't notice this brought up. Forgive me if the MM board isn't the location to post about MM technical problems.

Before issue 18, there was a very useful help tab for Masterminds, and their various / commands along with examples and suggestions for setting Minion Macros.

Now, the new and updated help has no such information. Which means as far as I know, there is no way in game to even look up what they are. Let alone for new MM's to know they exist in the first place.

/Bugged and all that, but still... Yeah.
