Congratualtions on the nice piece of art

Very cool looking so far. I'll definitely be keeping my eye on this thread.

Very cool sketches BW. Love the creepiness of the first one and the second one is a different type of picture than we're used to seeing, I like that. Very cool design on my costume. Love the cake/mantle and you nailed the slender but curvy look that I always pictured her with.

Quote:Dragonberry: This forum is headed for a disaster of biblical proportions.
Sapphic Neko: What do you mean, "biblical"?
Mod 8: What she means is Old Testament, Neko, real wrath of God type stuff.
Dragonberry: Exactly.
Larissa Rasputin: Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling!
Mod 8: Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes...
Larissa Rasputin.: The dead rising from the grave!
Dragonberry: Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!

I have a 300 mm lens and I <3 it! It's amazing how close you can get with those buggers. Congrats on an awesome looking camera.

Quote:Sterno? Thinking too small. I want either the phrase, "Are we far enough back?" or "Should we be standing behind something?" to be in the video. That will lock in my vote. I played with matches and light sockets when I was a kid. I still can't smell things all that well.
This reminds me of something my sister did once. She plugged in a plug with exposed cord into a wall socket. I remember her shaking a little and saying "This is fun." I ran into the living room and calmly informed my mother that my little sister was electrocuting herself (She was probably 4 at the time so I would have been 5) My mom ran in and SMACKED my sister with a broom to get her to let go. One of the funniest things I've ever seen in my entire life. My sister cried, not because she was hurt, but because my mom scared her and stopped the fun. *insert deviantart rofl emote here*
On a side note: Bubba I am so stoked someone used Popsicle sticks! Awesome ^.^ -
Other than those issues it did turn out well. Definitely the right layout to go with.

Cake is better :P
(Actually I disagree, but feel I must defend cake given my profession, lol)
LOVE this months theme! Way to think out of the box! -
I think it'll be ok. I agree about the mouth and the middle of the face is lacking in some definition but colors should definitely help. Still a great piece

o.O Um Wassy....nevermind, probably best not to know....
On a side note, some really fantastic entries this month. I am really torn as to who to vote for. Great job everybody! -
That second one is coming along nicely! I think Bayani looks a bit too smug in the first one though :P
The last one made me check to see what the most fav'd Larissa art was http://anathematixs.deviantart.com/a...rissa-54490628 Won with 607 favs. *sticks out tongue at Bayani* -
Steven Sanchez did a really fun headshot of Larissa. I've been a fan of his style for a while now and he doesn't do commissions often. I want to give a big thanks to Bayani for letting me know about this opportunity. ^.^

Congratulations! I think it's really cool that you want to have a COH themed cake, you definitely have to show us pictures!
That being said, while I think your design is fantastic it would be very difficult and expensive for that many figures. Something like that could also scare away potential decorators which may be why you've not heard back from some of them. Having multiple designs and being open with the decorator will definitely help you. Let them know what you are flexible on and ask for their ideas. Also make sure to point out the things you feel that you "must have" so there's no confusion/disappointment later. -
I have a few traditional pieces in my room downstairs. They're currently just sitting on a bookshelf and i keep telling myself I need to get them properly framed. All of the digital work is just sitting on my computer atm until I get around to getting some of it printed off. I have "my room" in my house and ideallly would like to put all of it on the walls at some point.

Larissa was orginally a Feng Shui character. Lillith was from WoD/Cthulhu mix we called House Gaming. There are a few others but those two are the ones I've played outside of COH the most.
