err sweet. as noted in this thread, time to get my two accounts in the arena...

I've always been a res based player, but since leveling the DM/SR and the DM/SD I must say I can't see a reason to play anything but a def based toon at mid-high levels.

All I can say is it's a good job they haven't ported SS yet as a SS/SD scrapper would be o.O

I have some semi-updated stuff about dark linked in my sig.

Plus DA is mostly res based, it might be possible to get quite high deff on one now. Use Steadfast +3% def all, Gladiator +3% def all, Combat jumping, weave, cloak of darkness and some very pricey set bonus's you might get there.

How ever and its a big however, it's a case of how gimped do you want you toon to be to achive high defence.

I've worked out I can get 20%ish mele, aoe & ranged without gimping, still retaining 55%+ rez to S/L dmg.

2nd question how much INF do you have?

Dark does have fluffy to spam heals at you, but he doesn't tend to last that long in av fights.

I've got a rad/sonic for this but as I'm not fully IO'd out to final build I'm still using shivans, heavies, mary etc to avoid too much death.

Have about 300mil on my main and about 650mil on my fire/kin.

Saving up for an eye watering DM/SD AV soloing build.

WP is easy mode. Log in, toggles on off you go. Mix with a primary of your choice.
Fire, katana, claws anything really.

Don't normally dream of CoH.
Get the odd one with a real/cox mix or settings.

Although last-night I was dreaming about swimming and the were a whole bunch of otters in the pool and I remmeber thinking "otters.......nice" and then carried on with the 31 lengths I had left to do.

Weird thing not being the otters more that I was counting the lengths in my sleep and remembered them.

How ever the otters must have left the pool by 0645 this morning.

I guess people like me don't help this planning as unless I'm in the mood to make a bit of money and spend the time, I list everything for 25 inf reguardless of it's 5 previous sales prices.....

3min 39sec for a lvl 50 AV solo.......

Just a bit of thread neco, I ran a rep farm the other day. The 4 badgers who showed up for the start picked up 160rep each.

I'm planning on a doing a few more to get them to 400rep.

Thats about how oftern I remember.

every 30 days I have to spend an hour or so moving all my badge toons about. But it's nice to get something for nothing

There are a few bits on the us boards about softcapping SD, but from reading most of them, the trick is keeping it at softcap against the more difficult foes.

DM/SD seems to be quite popular over there, a lot of people working on them.

Know this feeling, the other night by some mix of keypresses with the mouse in the wrong place I managed to loose the UI and leave all the global channels I was a member of.

I have to re-create and then get invites back to all of them. So you might have to do the same.

I think there is a place for both. I've been doing flashback badges on my main and ghost everything to get it done quick. How ever I've also completed every single one of the arcs solo clearing most maps just so they all have stars next to them and so I've got all the souveniers etc.

As for TFs if I'm with SG people and we're just after some fun we'll cruse through defeating as we go. How ever some of us also like to race these things and we like the challenge of trying to do ITF in 45mins by blitzing it.

So horses for courses.

Oh and most nights I'll only play for 30-60mins so the only way I can do a TF in one night it to ghost/blitz it or to multi-night them which most people hate.

Don't we need to start a Sal's 600 club?

For the above attack chain to work. Smite-Siphon Life-Smite-Midnight Grasp, you basically need perma-hasten levels of recharge. Possible but pricey
I have a DM/SR I'm IO'ing out for the above plus a DB/SR I'm also working on for AV stuff.

I've done a 6 blaster, 1 TA/A defender and 1 scrapper one of these and it still dragged like nobody's business.

The attack chain is almost 100% dependant on how much +recharge you have.

Give us your build and it'll be easier to work out.

Shame for the guys, it really is, GR seem to be a nice bloke. Fingers crossed for them when they hit jobsite.com

As for playing on the US, what I would like to see is 1 worldwide server list. We can see the us servers, they can see ours.

If not if the servers were merged, I'm sure they could do stuff with titles to distinguish between US & EU players.
