  2. Still waiitng for energy mele for scrappers. Although as a number of the devs have pointed out a straight port with the scrappers damage multiplier and the stuns would be hugely overpowered.

    Dark for blasters would be cool. The only problem is the fact that the blasts are slow so it might get frustrating with other people killing stuff while your blast is still flying through the air.
  3. It's been solo long since I solo'd any EBs not at level 50 that I can't remember if I had any trouble with them.
    As a lot have people have mentioned, Automoton Positron was a bit of a challenge mainly due to the stacked debuff. But there is nothing wrong with retreating then coming back when the debuffs have dropped.

    And the shivan EB was interesting the 1st time as I didn't read his details and just ploughed in with 1/2 my shields off....

    The ultra quick method (blaster heavy, buffer/debuffers) is to get the 50s to agro all the DE in sight, start the TF nuke the nuts of the gathered DE, ghost to walls blast them, ghost to where the prisoners are being held. Blast the prison things. ignor mobs, blast the tytan. Easily doable in a short time.

    The main problem with the hold is the fact it toggle drops and she then follows it up with a big attack. It is survivable if the healer is right on the button, but in our case he wasn't quite quick enough.

    Here's some numbers on her hold and the levels of protection you can get:

    GW's hold Mag 100

    Tanks Hold/Stun rez:
    Dark: 12.9
    Fire: 12.9
    Ice: 12.9
    Inv: 12.9 (US +21.6)
    Stone: 12.9 (Gran +21.6)
    WP: 12.9 (SoW +21.6)

    Pool Powers:
    Stimulant +7.3

    Buffs from Defenders:
    Empath: CM +12.9
    FF: DB +8.6
    Kin: ID +12.9
    Sonic: SD +8.6 (although this has a radius of 25ft and GW heal (and stun iirc) have a radius of 20ft so a bit risky)
    Sonic: Clarity +12.9
    Storm: o2 +8.6

    Buffs from trollers:
    Empath: CM +10.3
    FF: DB +6.9
    Kin: ID +10.3
    Sonic: SD +6.9 (although this has a radius of 25ft and GW heal (and stun iirc) have a radius of 20ft so a bit risky)
    Sonic: Clarity +10.3
    Storm: o2 +6.9
    Thermal: +10.3

    So basically 7 lots of CM, clarity or ID on a stone tank will keep them unheld.
  5. INV because to a blaster heavy ITF, there is no real diff between the lvl 50 and the upto lvl 53 mobs. As long as the tank takes the pain and holds the agro, let the nukes flow and the inf role in.

    I was thinking more for extra protection on a MoSTF run.

    We failed the other night due to a miscalculation on the power of a trollers CM. GW stuned and then mashed the tank. I was thinking that having a big bunch of plus def on top might have improved the chances.
  7. TBH unless you are running every mission from lvl 2 up on INV, you shouldn't have any troubles.

    Juat take the first 10-20 levels to get to know what you can and can't handle.

    The only thing I have ever had issue with (on my DM/DA) is the nin/nin in the PI safeguard when on INV. A couple of times it's been touch and go, but pop a few insps and it's fine.

    Full of questions this week.

    Does any one know if the current method for doing a fast eden works with GW and her heal/stun?
    IE can you use the empowerment station buffs and the 33% lucks to avoid it?
  9. I'm not talking standard ITF, more just for INV runs.
    Both my scrappers being /DA as above, I can take the pain, hold the rom's nictus pets all day.

    But I always get the felling I doing more with a blaster, especially when you get towards the high end organised teams competing for lowest time/highest inf.
    I guess we're back to the I don't want X for my run, you'll slow us down kind of thing.
  10. I'm not saying it can't be done.

    I've done quite a few ITFs recently (who hasn't) some on my main DM/DA/BM and he gets on fine even on an INV run (OG works if it hits reguarless of mob level) The rest have been on my blaster who is a willing nova -> vengence -> res bot.

    I was mainly thinking that the shear weight of S/L damage and the debuffs would leave a lot of combos in trouble far more oftern than would be useful.

    Is there any real way for a scrapper to make a decent contribution to an ITF run on INV. We are talking in a normal team with no dedicated(for the scrapper) healer and buffer

    Considering how badly mullered the regen got on a run I did on Tueday, I would be included to say no.

    What do the rest of you think?

  13. CoH has PvP? :P

    It was fun in the early days, a lot of good time was wastedn in SC. But now it's hard to get into some times. All it takes for me to get [censored] off is to be on the end of the old 1,2 stalker combo and to then get the old joosux trash talk.

    I'm not averse to PvP I make a lot of money ransoming people in eve.
    But the fact that my favorite toons are basically fodder and can hardly ever compete makes me not want to hit the zones. I also don't want to make a toon which is not much fun in PvE, just to have a chance in PvP.

    It (for me) boils down to the fact that a casual pvp session for me would just end in frustration. It's just not accessable enough to be fun (for me).

  15. I guess when you get to the level 50 and start filling out those mission badges etc you have so much inf floating arround that 50k for a bit of low level magic salvage is small beans.

    When ever I craft stuff like this for badges, I sell the IOs starting @ 25inf, so there is plenty of scope for low levels to buy them.

  17. It does run on vista, but you have to install it as the administrator account, not just an account with admin rights. (unless they've updated the build recently)
  18. You should stick at the BS/DA, it's so much fun. Got mine to 50 a few months back and my new IO'd build has a shead load of +dmg and +rechrg.

    Plus what could be better than those crit head splitters. Fast low recharge attack chains are for wusses.

    I might switch some of my quad quad core boxes over to this.
    If it has the same points rating as F@H, I can pump out 45,000 ppd.

  22. I don't think you can answer this without making a lot of people unhappy. More signature moves not available to players would be good.

    But something does need to be done. Almost any 5 man team with 1 debuffer and some damage can get through all of the AVs without any problems.

    As stated above, most people want 'a challange' as long as it doesn't take more than 5mins and too much thought.
    Thats the appeal of this game, easy to pick up the basics, good for easy fun in short bursts.

    I only had 1 single target primary attack on my BS/DA until level 26 (unless you count parry). If you have the two powers from the vet rewards, it doesn't make it too bad. Plus in a good team you pick your targets and make the single target attacks count.

    I think you could prob get a bit more regen by jiggering with the slotting for health and fast healing. Might be worth looking into as the only damage mitagation in this build is "kill it with fire"

    Oh and the color scheme makes my eyes hurt....
  25. If I had any nights free for theme nights, I'd be interetsed.
    The all defender teams have always been fun. I pretty sure even without a full team you can reach the -speed and -rechrg cap.
