I'm going to miss Jake ...
I loved playing with him and he made me a much better player - He's the one that got Lanna Su to 50 amidst months of heal farms and chatting night after night. He was a good mentor in game and a great friend in real life.
He got me into Dr. Who and Babylon 5. When I swore I was content with how season 4 ended and had no intention of watching season 5, he got it for me for my birthday. I guess I'm going to have to watch it now.

Even when I stopped playing we would text back and forth and he kept me up to date with his progress in life and with cancer.

Last November I ran my first half marathon fundraising for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society in his honor. Jake thought I was insane ... he told me he didn't want to be responsible for anyone running any kind of distance. He also told me he was proud and appreciative of it so I went ahead with it.
I'm now training to run the Boston Marathon, fundraising for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. It's the only thing I can think to do - the only way I can feel less helpless in this ordeal.

MP - thank you so much for being there with him.

Don't feel bad GP! We got lots of XP and killed monsters and had a great time. We had fun on DC's arc too - so everything was fine :-)

I'm still going to have arcs ready just because it took us NEARLY TWO MINUTES to switch to the DC arc.

This was my first MMO and I had no idea what to name my first toon. I wanted something unique, not often thought of, ethereal, and Star Wars related.

I thought of those really cool, long, tall creatures at the cloning facility on the rain planet. When the creature met Obi Wan at the door she (he?) introduced her (him) self and it sounded like Lanna Su. The real name never mattered enough to me to look it up. Lanna is one of my faorite characters to play and I like the sound of it.

I feel like Lanna suits me and people seem to know me that way. I wouldn't change it.

My Brute is close to 31 now. Most of the team wasn't 30 when we hit Croatoa so we couldn't run the Nemmers arc alongside GP. When he left we resorted to running a level 45 arc provided by DC.

I'm going to miss next week but in the future I'll try to have some arcs or at least contacts lined up.

I *will* do this sometime but I'm out of town this weekend.
I really want this for my MM.

I guess I'll have to wait until your next Hero run because now my villain badger is a hero and vice versa. I'm getting so confused ...

I did both runs on Monday and although I think the first part can be (relatively) easily coordinated with decent players, the AV was very frustrating in the first run. We could get his shields down but he would heal up entirely before we could get them down again.

It's simply a matter of an inverse relationship between debuffers and "props"

I thought the second run was amazingly fun because we were all so coordinated. The team leads were stellar in both runs but I think there was better listening going on in the second.

I'm a dual blades / super reflexes brute. So far I kinda like her. I'm treating her more like a scrapper than a tank (I'm sure at some point I'll start treating her like a Brute, but she's my first one so I have to pull on past experience )

I know I'll like her a LOT more when I email her some IOs so she can keep her defenses up.

I love the look of the zone(s). I'm looking forward to making a few more and trying different content.

There were some complaints earlier in the thread about not sending "wanna join?" tells to someone in missions. I respectfully disagree.

When I'm trying to fill a team I look for everyone in the proper level range (the level that we're fighting or 1 or 2 levels below) and I'll send tells to any of them. Usually something like,

"Hey there, we're running level 44 invincible missions in PI. Care to join us when you're done there?"

If they don't respond, no biggie. sometimes you want to solo / log / spend the next few hours in WW. Sometimes they do join and you could meet someone interesting.

Just because someone's in a mission doesn't mean they are unwilling to team.

so, Posi ..... when can we get more slots per server? With xp smoothing I'm gonna get all my toons on my home server to 50 too fast. I'd rather pay $20 for 5 more slots on my home server than $10 to transfer one of my 50s and $20 more to swap out toons any time I wanna play the 50 with my friends and sg mates.

What do you say?

Love the police band missions - just have a question about the frequency of the types of missions. I've got a high level hero doing these missions in PI and I'm getting tired of Council and CoT. Can you throw in a few more Maltas? Make it a little easier on us to get those Zeus'?
