Thanks to all who came out. Apologies to all who wanted to join, but we didn't have room for.
They did the whole thing in 15 minutes?

Gives hope I will see this. Envisioned a long ordeal both to set up and run. Will watch for future runs.

I set up the run. From the entry into the raid computer to the end, it was around 15 minutes. The setup took a lot longer because it was later at night and finding people was stuff, plus a few people did nuke or shivan runs.

Things that helped:
1. Having all team leaders on vent (or some kind of voice chat). We were able to easily communicate where our teams were at and when to attack or pull back. We then communicated directions to our individual teams via team chat.

2. Balancing the teams. Gave each team a tank, some damage, and debuffs. Bubbles/sonic definitely helped to give squishies some mez protection. Having a good amount of debuffs was definitely important for the final challenge.

3. Shivans, nukes, and heavies. I think we had about 4 nukes, 2 heavies, and a handful of shivans. You could probably do the whole thing without them, but to do it so quickly, a little prep is helpful.

It was a lot of fun! After the first run, I wanted to complete it really bad. Being on the first run definitely helped us know what to do to complete the second.

There were at least 10 Vanguard Heavies. I had 4-Bio nuke buffs at the end of it all and I think there were 1 or 2 Chems that got dropped.

Heavies put out amazing damage when buffed with Bio nukes.

Also stopping at the door to group buff rather then just charging and splitting into three groups helped with surviving the alpha of the mobs.

I was on the second "15 minute" run with my grav/ff troller. I wasn't on Vent, but it seemed pretty well coordinated between Vent and the local channel. It was, for lack of a better term, a flat-out steamroll job.

I think Rularuu got knocked down to about 30% on the first attack before the next summon, and after that got wiped out, just melted. i thought there were more than two heavies though, because I had one out, and thought I saw at least two others.

Thanks to all that participated!!

Heh, I was talking to someone who was saying how easy this thing was and how they were disappointed. What they failed to mention is 10 heavies and all those nukes

I hope some teams try it without all the props, so people do not get a "15 minutes" expectation for this thing. Or worse, people refusing to do the trial unless everyone as a heavy, shivan, and nuke.

I couldn't agree with you more on this. I still think that well organized teams will be able to get through this in 30(ish) minutes if they do two cycles at the obelisks and two cycles on the AV. However, timing is so tight (~30 sec widow) that just a few secs will make the teams go through another 2 cycle phase.

I did both runs on Monday and although I think the first part can be (relatively) easily coordinated with decent players, the AV was very frustrating in the first run. We could get his shields down but he would heal up entirely before we could get them down again.

It's simply a matter of an inverse relationship between debuffers and "props"

I thought the second run was amazingly fun because we were all so coordinated. The team leads were stellar in both runs but I think there was better listening going on in the second.
