Scrapper build!

[ QUOTE ]
DO NOT DROP RESILIANCE, an auto mez protect is always a good thing as even if you are stunned your stun time is much reduced. Only put one slot in resiliance as the damage res it gives is nominal to say the least

[/ QUOTE ]

Edited for accuracy, just in case anyone gets the wrong idea.
2. [ QUOTE ]
Ill be there with the retribution SG

maybe an idea to hold in on test for defiant to join too

[/ QUOTE ]

We kind of already have something like this going on here.

click again like Blizzard, which the mobs dont stay in anyway.

[/ QUOTE ]
Those would be the knocked over slowed mobs then? Seriously, have you ever even seen this power in use?

[/ QUOTE ]

I've seen it use many a time, maybe it was the caster who just didn't know how to set it right to get the best effect, but they still run from the location.

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
No one usually takes Rain of Fire or Ice Storm, unless you have some kind of AoE slow, hold, immob or stun.

[/ QUOTE ]I have both. Not on the same corruptor but even so ... tar patch + rain of fire (for example) is an awesome combo and ice storm is a nice group separation power solo at lower levels.

[/ QUOTE ]

Since when has Tar Patch not been an AoE Slow?

If people usually took RoF/Ice Storm I would have seen it in most of the Fire or Ice Corrs I've teamed with.

I'm not saying that no one takes these powers, just that they aren't the most popular powers in the set, hence I said usually.
4. [ QUOTE ]
yes but debuff can't prevent a scrapper of crit on a hit for exemple

[/ QUOTE ]

A Scrapper won't get a Crit if their ToHit has been debuffed into the ground and then even if it does, damage debuffs soften the blow.
5. [ QUOTE ]
Fire Blast has 4 AoE-attacks.

Ice Blast has 3 AoE-attacks.

Ah snap that's too few AoEs for Ice but Fire has a lot of AoE!
You know, the difference between 3 and 4 is so big that it's not even funny.

[/ QUOTE ]

Fire Ball actually makes one hell of a difference.

Blizzard Vs Inferno for a Kin, you need to be in melee for FS anyway, so Inferno is just more handy to click, not click, then target its location, then click again like Blizzard, which the mobs dont stay in anyway.

No one usually takes Rain of Fire or Ice Storm, unless you have some kind of AoE slow, hold, immob or stun.

That leaves Frost Breath for Ice and Fire Breath and Fire Ball for Fire, which takes a sizeable amount of health from mobs together, something Frost Breath just can't do alone.

I'll bite!

Forgot about this thread.

So, I take it thats us as a team then?

some of the most experienced PvP spine/regens in the game saying themselves that they're overpowered

[/ QUOTE ]

I wouldn't say overpowered as such, just not as balanced as other sets/combos.
8. [ QUOTE ]
this is why regens cant jump into a group of mobs start laying the smackdown and survive it, while tankers/brutes and to a lesser extent /sr/invul scrappers can. Taking so much damage all at the same time will eventually result in death for those without resistances.

[/ QUOTE ]

Come back and say that after using a fully slotted Dull Pain + Instant Healing combo, not to sound condescending or anything, but it really makes a difference.

Yes, with a huge burst of damage, a Regen can be taken down, but all of defence sets have a weak point of some kind, Its just that there aren't that many very high damaging attacks avalible in Siren's, and then after that there still aren't that many.

My Sub is sorted, so I can do this.

No one wants me it seems.

spines/?

Spines/Regen is nice.
Spines/Dark is nice.
Spines/SR is nice.
Spines/Invun, hmmm Invun

Personally, Spines/SR or Spines Dark.

Spines/SR for a nice scrapper feel, end might be tough with Quills and the shields, but it is not hard to work around. Quickness will help with the not-so-fast recharge of the Spines attacks.

Spines/Dark for just plain, good old AoE damage, Very end heavy, but very worth while in the long run, more so in teams to support your end needs.

I can't say much more really, having not played either to a level where I can give more detail on the two.

Then again, Spines/Invun isn't bad, maybe not as good as the other secondary sets, but its still good.
13. [ QUOTE ]
Do I have enough end reds in there? I hope my planner's wrong, but with all these toggles, I'll only get .42 endurance per second overall... is hat enough to live by?

[/ QUOTE ]

You won't be running all of your toggles at the same time.

Melee Energy / ?

Though SR is a good set for Stalkers. Unlike Nin it does not provide Confuse/Fear Resist, but therefor has Slow Res, which is nice as well.

[/ QUOTE ]

SR does provide Confuse resist, fear is its only mez weakness (well, of the main mez effects used).

Also, SR has Quickness, 20% recharge buff IIRC, thats got to be worth something for the recharge of ET and TF.

[/ QUOTE ]

Practiced Brawler dosn't give confuse res so where is SR getting confuse res from ? Disorient, hold, immob,KB,Sleep no confuse

[/ QUOTE ]

Focused Fighting.

Ice/TA

[ QUOTE ]
If you are going by Sherksilver it is seriously wrong on TA, it is around 5%, trust me. In PvP it will reduce the range at which the player can see you, but wont make you disappear entierly unless you stack it with another -preception power such as Smoke.

[/ QUOTE ]

...or a +Stealth power.
17. [ QUOTE ]
With my old fire / kin I had a bad habit of casting fire cages (mass immob) far too much which really does the endurance in. Casting only once should be enough.

This is the only thing i can suggest.

[/ QUOTE ]

Short of being Power Leveled to at least level 35 minimum.

I didn't say anything if anyone asks.

<.<

>.>
18. [ QUOTE ]
Note: For future potential earth trollers. Do take this power for PvE...absolutely awesome in PvE but unfortunately not very good in PvP

[/ QUOTE ]

It has, on occation, been able to help stack holds on a Stone tank and drop them from Granite in the process, although any tank that trys to just wade though that and Quicksand would have to be certain they could make it out without getting held.

Blasters are...

[ QUOTE ]
Mmmmmmmmmmmm blaster goodness.

I love the way it seems it's only the Blaster forum that we get the "zomg we pwnz" threads.
Warms my heart , and to think, when i rolled mine as my first toon, i had no idea what i was doing.............somethings never change

[/ QUOTE ]

We already know we "pwnz" in the Controller forum, and therefore don't need to shout from the rooftops about it.
20. [ QUOTE ]
Also wondering if I should take the slots out of Ice patch and put them in fiery embrace as to hit buffs

[/ QUOTE ]

Fiery Embrace only boosts Damage.
21. [ QUOTE ]
I can solo mine but it's definitely not among the easiest solo toons I have.

[/ QUOTE ]

I guess its what you class as "easy to solo". Does that mean fastest, safest, most damaging?
22. [ QUOTE ]
I think a solo /kin would be best off taking a mez-heavy primary (but probably not energy). My fire/kin doesn't really solo well, but then I think it would be almost unfair if it did.

[/ QUOTE ]

Really?

My Fire/Kin is the best soloing toon I have, heck I know someone who says their fire/kin corr is better than their brute soloing, and I've seen them play both.

Fire/Kin is is a great combo, for solo or team.

Simple solution, like i did on my fire/emp controller..

last cossie slot = Hami Cossie (no more/no less), I don't need 4 cossies on toons, so it's an easy street to go down.

[/ QUOTE ]

Or you can do what I do. Just leave your toon in the hive on cowards hill. That way hes g2g for next raid, and allready in the right costume.

[/ QUOTE ]

Damn right.

[/ QUOTE ]

I allways forget the cowards hill part.

[/ QUOTE ]

Nither does Empath going by him logging in dead under Hami as I was getting used to the new PA drop technique.

All human WS?

[ QUOTE ]
Nebulous Form was great until the nerf because it also gave you a mini-superjump (Like Hurdle+CJ) which was great for getting around. However, since the nerf it's limited to 30 seconds and thus useless for just about everything.

[/ QUOTE ]

Its been a while, but Nebulous Form most definatly has a 60 second duration, unlike Phase Shift's 30 second duration, and it is very handy should you fall in battle and use your self rez, Stygian Return.
