Okay, I rolled me a Spines/DA, just hit 7, and my intention was pretty much to AoE stuff with the 2 auras and the PBAoE, and be able to adjust into a Single Target scrapper when need be, probably by taking off my damage toggles. So far as I can tell, I will have 5 toggles up, that's the three shields, the damage aura, and acro. maybe Oppressive Gloom later. I'm obviously getting stam, and I will have a kin defender leveling with me, which will help a little with the end, but I shouldn't rely. Things I'm thinking-any pools needed? I'm going for the leaping pool, so shouldn't need cloak of darkness. What should I take before stam? Hurdle+Health? Slotting health to reduce downtime.
Defo taking dark regen. Slot acc+recharge?

Hey Deathdude!

Having a Spines/DA myself i can say that this build is immensly fun! good choice on build! It a takes a while for this build to come into its own, but its deffo worth it

I have 10 toggles running on my scrapper atall times, this includes, the three sheilds, death shroud, combat jumping, Acro, Tough, Weave, CoD and Opressive Gloom, I have all sheilds and attacks slotted with 2 End reduc's and i find this works really well.

I would definately reccomend the leaping pool and fighting pool as these boost your survivability no-end.

With a pet kin you will be pumping out some serious damage numbers! so good luck and have fun! if you have anymore questions my global is @spag Bol

Why CoD if you have CJ btw, or the other way around? And btw, what about quills? Surely 2 damage auras would own?

I do indeed have quills! Sorry late night!

Quills, death shroud, and spines burst makes up for some great AoE damage

Never been to hot on number crunching, but i found i got hit alot less with CoD on and has a + perception factor built in which is nice

Yes! stamina is a must i would day so myself!

But with a fulcrum you will be running into a group of +2's and 3's hitting BU and killing in Just one spine burst
as auras finish off the left overs!

Well, I rolled a build together, and it's not looking good. I mean, it looks ownage, but there's SO much to fit in. I was thinking of skipping SJ and settling for CJ+Hurdle, as I can cope with, but that'd prohibit my access to Acro. I do, however, team with a kin, so I might be able to convince him to get ID (He's already got SB), and that might let me skip at least acro? I don't know. Anyway, here's a build I've put together, but i don't think it's too good. No fighting pool.

Soul Transfer is awful. Really, really awful. I mean, it might be fine at level 50, when you get no debt, but other than that there is simply no reason to have it at that level.

Get OG earlier. That's your third biggest survival power, after Obsidian and Dark Regen. It stops minions attacking you with a penalty covered by health.

Get rid of Soul Transfer. Yes, I've already said this. Please, I'm begging you to ditch it. The one single use I've found for it is it's safer than an average combat rez, but you've got about 10 seconds to get sorted.

You'll probably be better off with the hold as opposed to torrent, although I'm not entirely sure on that.

Might want to get hasten in there, since it helps with the death bringing.

Tough isn't remotely needed. And yes, ID has KB protection, so you'd survive without Acro, and if you really, really wanted tough you could drop SJ and Acro, but that would remove some soloability.

Other than that, the build looks fine. I'd still reccomend slotting it for critique, since that plays a major part in the build's effectiveness too.

You won't be running all of your toggles at the same time.

Oh, so, which ones will I be taking off? Or will I run most of them at the start of combat for taking the alpha(In case of no tank) And turning the s/l shield and the elemental one off, and also cloak of darkness, and using my heal to live?

You can take elemental or S/L shield off with certain foes, as well as mez one. Also, if incoming damage is low, OG and CoF are not needed, and neither is CoD.
