  1. I would ask, what is your playstyle?
What do you want to accomplish?

For me I wanted quick attacks, I wanted to try having permahasten. (Ended close but no sigar...) She is the way I want to play her, how I play her and feel comfortable with.
She is a Blapper with lots of damage (due to recharge). She is great solo, but with a team she is deadly (as most are).
  2. Sooo
What was different then last time? *Listens with anticipation'

    Peekaboo!!

Welcome back Aero. Sad to hear about how the adventure ended
But good to see you back again
  4. Great to hear about your family and the new lifestyle your going to embark on.
Wishing you good luck Damz and see you when I see you again.
  5. Feel your pain with many more (I believe).
Only got some Vet badges, Day Job badges and the MoReich left on my main badger.
+ Those we cannot get anymore.

But for things to do... Roll up an a new char, Use your creativity in making the Best MA arc, Roleplay your char og ... make another badger char? (semi-kidding with the last suggestion).

I await the halloween event myself, and then eager for more news about GR and the next issue.

Be warned.. I got a Foaming Blue Rabbit and I'm not afraid of using him!

I mean, I have enough with the bugs that make it into the final releases. Why would I want to wrangle with more?
Since this is something that will change gameplay it would be good to know what one gets into. Since Going Rogue will mean that any AT can jump over to the other side (Well that is what we are led to believe) after doing a quest or the thing the Devs have in mind).

There are a few reasons why I would love testing this issue. Most importantly would be what can you bring over to the other side? Will i.ex badges be changed (names), will some be removed since you no longer are say a hero? Will you be able to get the villain badges and rejoin the heroes?

Then we come to the marked, either or both will have some kind of change here with influx of lots of recipes/enchantments etc. Those you have on you, will they travel with you over to the other side? Will Influence be changed into Infamy or just deleted? Suddenly a mm can join the hero side and buy them worthless purples recipes (think they will increase).

How many times i.ex will you be able to change side, and if you stay true to your side, can you still change afterwards?

What I'm trying to put forward... I got plenty of questions and the beta will answer them for me and make me decide IF any of my chars will swap side.
Also those questions might help squash bugs so... i'm prepping to use the /bug alot.
  8. Most of the badgers I know about are not in an sg dedicated for badgers. Its an individual thing.
However we do get together in various channels?
Not sure if Virtue has one but maybe there exists a badgehunting channel?
  9. Welcome to the game, hope you will get a lot of Vet rewards
As Damz said... we are a crazy group, but ooooh..
    *Hands you a cookie*

One channel you propably should visit is "Sals badgehunters". We have plenty of taskforces and such made through that channel

*Looking at Singstar* Ok.. We will take 'em (roleplayers) (more for us.. yeay)

    power seller

Got it. When WW came and fabricator was 10000 it was converting, making things and selling it. At that point it was no need to buy/sell stacks with a friend as long before you got Fabricator you would have gotten Power Seller.

Why should they change Power Seller, if so they would have had to change more of them (and there are rewards for getting the sold badges vs most of the achivements (with exceptions)).

For each 1000 item you sell you get a badge and for 1000, 3000, 5000, 7000 you get one extra slot in WW/BM.
Its more of an incentive to get those slots I think
But to get it as with most things... Enter the world of WW and buy and sell stuff.
    Good luck
  11. As Issue 16 is now going live.
Here is the update on this badge sheet.
I've edited the requirments to the various badges (see list of changes) and added the two new Master Of badges. I assume them to be under Defeat badges with the previous one.

    I-16

I-16 is definitly going on live now it seems.

Can't enter the play zone, but I was able to log-in to character menu.
One new change that I've noticed is... The last costume you wore is now on your character.

    Taking a break

    Best of luck MR ?

Hmm, your landlord has it plugged in and you got wireless. Lots of concrete between you and the router? What kind of Wireless reciver do you got (letter g->)?
  14. Well it was worth a chuckle Steelclaw, so I disagree with the last sentence...
  15. Many good suggestions, will add my little contribution as well (Look at my signature).
  16. Well we first go through "an interview" as you call it.
I like to call it (as it is for some the first rp session) an introduction session.
On the handbook you can give a tell to any of the chars mentioned (under the "how to contact". Those names are also their global names), but we also have a few non-mentioned players (Veteran players can also be contacted for interview... like me (aka Cyrene). But do give me a tell @lady arete if you like.)

Together with the representative from the NHU you can both shape your characters introduction to the nhu. If you want to meet during a battle, chance meeting, or the traditionally one: You have already told the NHU that your interested and a (representative) will come and meet you.
There are other ways, but not all will be possible due to base security etc.

What I do (and most of us do) is that we talk abit about your character and the group and if I am doing the interview we end up with a "little" tour of the base (so you can get your bearings... hopefully. After all we do call it "the maze" *cough*).
  17. Well the group I am in is a roleplay heavy supergroup.
We got our own private chat channel for all the non-rp talk.
    Name of the group:
    New Heroes Union

Give us a look on http://union.virtueverse.com/index.php/New_Heroes_Union
  18. If you enter the Arena in Pocket D... well that are the same sounds there. Just look down at the little rikti monkeys fight.
Just goes to show that the Truck In sharkhead (or maybe any Pocket D entrance) is a weeird place.

Heck even if they reduced it to 8 Hours, I doubt even the most dedicated players would ever reach that level. That's not a "lack of date" working when they created this series of badges. That was a lack of common sense.
Well the most dedicated players DID get that badge on a requirment of 80 hours (I'm one of them). Ofc gained through the same method of getting damage taken badges.
Method was: Get a mission, find a mezzer (like malta sapper, I used carnie Illusionist), let the computer stand on for the night and unless something happened get back (much) later and play normally. Rinse and repeat. (Boring yes, but only way with the current requirment)
  20. Well my arc originally had thugs/traps.
I had a blast wacking them in their tightknit mission room, several lieuts with gangwar...
Ofc when others tested it they did find it a "tad" to hard, well debtfeast really.
So I had to balance them abit more.

    ...
As for playing, well during the launch I had my fair share of fighting willpower elite bosses with... rez. (urk) Even had an ambush of 4 or so the same elite boss while fighting the main elite boss... that was interesting.

Now I've not been inside the architect for some time but I do remember fighting tanker boss... that runs "screaming" around the big room and beyond (Since you have to run after you might aggro other undefeated minions).
Since a tanker has lots of hitpoints and sometimes heals the damage back... its not often fun fighting that type.

For me, thus careful use of gang-war and willpower is a must. If your main char is abit above the norm (enchantment wise), make certain you test the arc on a character with less "power".

As for standard CoH/CoV favourite... I love to hate the Circle so I love bashing them.
As a tanker I hate fighting the sorceresses in croatoa (you taunt and they fly away well they did so in missions for me).
  21. That little white box is the sign that yes.. you are silenced on the channel.
If you are on a public channel, just exit and return.
Or ask an OP in a tell (star) to remove the silence.
And also ask yourself how long have you been silenced and what kind of channel rule did you break.. ;P

    Badge List

    or..
    If you use excel.
*Points to my excel sheet in sig*

edit: oh.. drat, forgot about printable...
  23. Cap buster..
Talk to Dj zero (Provided you have him as a contact aka done the holliday event) and you get to do his missions as many times as you wish (and bust as many caps that you can. Or ask in a badgerchannel if someone can run that mission.

    Family bosses?
Okay... for one of them underbosses/consigliares head to Nerva and street hunt.
For the other head head into Port Oakes. (Port oakes runs are nice soo many badges to be gained with an 8 man team).
But then yes any hunt X of any villain group is far easier the more players you have.

The rest of those you mentioned is harder to get yes, For PP's one needs to organize a team of like minded individuals and start scouring Grandville for them (Fab).

But the point of your post Techbot is very sound. There are far fewer chances or missions for villains to get several of them badges.
    (Weatherman/Weathergirl... i'm looking at you)
Overseers, Outcasts, Paragon protectors (heroes have one mission with ONLY these) and hero side got more Fake Nemesis missions etc if my memory serves me right. Ofc its doing missions for nemesis, can't remember seeing many fakes spawn outdoors .

Very.. much... agree. (AFK farming is boring)
What I hope to say is don't make it too easy and don't make it too steep.
It can either be summed in the "yes, please both" or "The golden (middle) path". Not correct english, I think but... *shrug*
When you need to afk farm and not play through proper gaming then the requirments are steep. To be frank, when I heard that the badges where going going to be changed I had the AE badge nerf/removal in mind. Cause sometimes Devs like to use the big nuke to change things... I was glad that was not the case, some reducement was maybe not neccessary but its not important. The Devs want us to hunt 100 of a certain npc... well a 100 is a very good number.
I did like that some badges had a different amount (like 200 etc), but 100 is ok. (Feared it would be lower )
  25. I agree with you on the point of having more challanges 23x.

(And raising my eyebrow on the reducing sg badges requirments aswell)

If there is no challanges, then it is not fun anymore. And we play to have fun.
For me the badge collecting game is one thing that keeps me playing the game. Because we have a good community for it, there are challanges, there is the fun and thrill of getting a badge that not "everybody" has... Well rephrase, which is too easy so that every Tom, D.. umm Richard and harry also has (but has the possibility of getting).
Call it e-peen or whatever. Some collect on getting fastest to lvl 50, or most lvl 50's, some want to be the best pvp'er, some wants to do every arc, some wants to roleplay, some wants to try every powerset there is, some want to play the marked, some want to run the same repeatable mission over and over again.

I just hope the game will not be too easy or watered down.
Yes we play the Dev's game and pay to play it. But when you pay for something over time you do get a feel of ownership of the game. Because you enjoy it or certain aspects of it.
(But that is a different discussion I think)..

    right.. where was I?
    Oh yes..
Love challanges, please don't water the game too far, some of us enjoy the badge-minigame (even if some of the Devs and many players might not).
