    If you have a radio mission unsolved when a new issue is launched it will change the villain group in this radio mission into any new group of the issue.
    I've had Council turned into Grandville citizens (which I felt was very wrong attacking as a hero). And Favourite would be Arachnos swapping into Cimerorean traitors.

    I have not finished that mission, I wonder if it is still filled with cimeroran traitors. (And thus could be used to help give lowbies the cimeroran badge)
  2. I hope we get more base building tools.
    I asked in the Devs meet at test the 28th...
    If we could see an update of items in the base editor. For there are many items in missions etc that are not included in the base editor. It would be easy (I believe) to add them...

    Did not get an answer...

    I've sent a big little list and suggestion in an e-mail that was forwarded to Positron. About various shaped blocks (think lego) that would be great for basebuilding... This was mostly in regard to the fact that im in a roleplaying group and we use shelfs as walls. (Would save a huge amount of items if we had some blocks of various sizes and hights).

    I really, really hope we get new stuff for the base editor (or well old stuff presently existing ingame). For how long is it since there lastly was added anything to bases (apart from price reduction etc)? Somehow I hope that the original title of a certain lost issue, well the renamed.. "all your bases belong to us"... will be brought to us. Somehow I do imagine there must have been some new items in there.

    That the slow field we use for water is looking bad now? Not seen the "water" effect in some time now due to having turned my ati card water effect off. I should visit the base now. O.o Darnit, double darnit... Our Pool!!
  3. Not sure if I would be "old player"...
    But, no I will not cancel my EU account and start over (even though I sometimes would want to create chars on Virtue). I got too much invested in my chars on Union for me to jump ship...
    I do know of a few people from my sg and a few others that have dropped EU and joined the NA servers. (I really dislike the segregation and the continued support of the flawed system of seperate server lists)

    So my original belief (until proven otherwise) still stands. The responsible person for EU marketing or EU servers is cloaked in shadows. Sitting in his or her (or even its) dark room, where we cannot see the person(s) gender(s), stroking the white cat, sorrounded by minions in suits, cackling maniacly.. etc...

    In any event the time that would be perfect for a server list merge is almost upon us. Devs there is still time before GR will be launched.
    All it should take in theory is a fix to the updater. Unless EU and NA uses different systems and needs a whole workover...
    Could we just please know what are the reasons that stops a server list merge?

    Yup, be certain you are in atleast one of those three for the social network to increase, The paragod. As there will be much (sometimes too much) happening on those channels.

    About joining chat channels.
    Henri summed it up.
    There is a slash command aswell.
    In example
    /chan_join Sals badgehunters

    Then you only have to enable the chan channel (so you can see text and see what your typing in there). Right click global, chat.. any of the names you got in your bar and press "edit bar", then enable chat channels.

  8. Favourite moments...

    First time ever Hamidon raid. Before that I had only memories of being a low blaster on a trial account and seeing heroes flying towards the Hive and muttering about Hamidon...
    Now that first Hamidon Raid I was in was Unions first Issue 9 Raid. Even though it took us 7 hours from start to finish and it was max debt I still have fond memories of it. I remember specially my most used power... Recall Friend. ;P

    Another fond memory is getting all badges that a 39 month could hope to get... before Issue 17. (horray.. new badges I can collect)

    How Ultra Mode made everything look more beautiful.

    All the times when I have led new recruits or visitors around the New Heroes Union (sg) base, all the times I've heard references of needing breadcrumbs or a map. Yes, the group have unofficially dubbed the base... "The Maze". One thing that even made it sweeter was that there actually was a person that got lost in there (Ok I was quick to get her out... but hey )

    During the Rikti invasion, rushing towards Talos Hill and do battle with Rikti (and later Zombies).

    Having a GM visit the base and being temporary member of said sg (no... we did not team in battle). Aswell as almost having a stageshow in a opera/concert house room with the GM taking the shape of some other... things.

    Meeting War Witch on test on my old outfit and she loved it
    And several other moments.

  11. With the launch of Issue 17, I have made some small changes to my sheet.
    The first post have the link to the new updated Excel sheet.

    Added various badges (new ones with Issue 17). MAde two bank pages for hero/villains... due to my own altitis.
    Read the Recent changes in the Sheet for further reference.

    If you read through the thread you will find that yes, the thread started out with the concept of the box. However as DR said, it is more about the box. Had you read the entire thread or atleast post 596 (on page 30) you would have seen more of the entire picture...


    @Noble Fox. Then the solution is simple. Change the server lists so that both NA and EU updater points to the same list. One list of 15 servers. If GR would do this then there would be no need for an extra set of boxes (to the EU). Unfortunatly it seems the company will still insist on dividing the playerbase into two communities .

  15. Yes, Issue 17 comes out the 28th April (aka tomorrow).
    Dual Pistol and Demon Summoning belongs to Going Rogue expansion. However those two powersets can be played (Demon summoning from tomorrow of) IF and ONLY IF you have done the Prepurchase of Going Rogue.
    If you have not, you cannot create a Demon summoner tomorrow (or until you have Prepurchased Going Rogue... or waited until Going Rogue launches then bought it).

    1. Find the link you want to use. Ctrl+c it.
    2. When you do post, you might see some small symbols above the screen (like I would have seen as I now type). You can see various format properties.. amongst them there is a little button that provides an URL.
    3. Click that button. You will now get the option of typing in a link, Paste in that link (ctrl+v)
    4. Press Enter and woosh.. You see the link appearing in this writing place. You will notice that its doubled up and half of it is marked. What is marked is the name of the link. If I f.ex wanted the above link to say "Click me" I would simply have removed the text "http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Issue_17" and replaced it with "Click me". Then it would be seen like this:

  17. I did post a little suggestion to how I believe this event could have been done better. Mod08 did as good as job as he could.
    I just feel that if he had the resources or the company had allocated some resources to make a few tools available, it would have been even more memorable.
    Let me explain.
    I remember last year and feared the 6'th anniversary would be the same...
    It did. Yes we did get lots of GM's to fight, we did get yellow titles, merits (and Essence of the Earth from the DE monsters), we did also get huge amounts of powerlag in the sone. I wonder/fear what will happen in one year, when we have had Ultra Mode.

    But to how this event could have been even better:
    I did notice that Mod08 had joined a few of the channels on our server, what if we had had this in advance.
    Mod08 logs in on a RP/popular server.
    [Rp/popular server]Mod08: Heya guys, could I have your attention please?
    Followed by lots of "Yes", "Go On", "Heya Mod08" etc...
    Mod08: As you know we are soon going to have 6/7/8 anniversary. We thought we should do things a little different this time, by having a few players actually play the Giant montsers. Would anyone want to Control them?
    I will use GM as short for GIANT MONSTER (to spare typing)
    (I will imagine that there will be even more YESSSS, pick memememe comments. I know I would say mememememememe)
    Mod08: Great (he picks a few and this is what they will know)
    The players gets a temp power for the event. Or they get a temporary character slot with a GM's on it. (How this would be possible would be up to the company)
    The playercontrolled GM will only be spawned in the location that Mod08 decides. The playercontrolled GM will also get a certain amount of GM's/AV's or the like that follows him/her.
    Then when the playercontrolled GM spawns in the location of choice. The Player begins emulating a villain, speaking in broadcast or any other channel (temp allowed/set up for the event) Trying to play a villain.
    (Lets say I became one of these "monsters". My player name would not be the one that showed itself in the public channel.
    [Broadcast] "me"Lord Frost": Muhaha. Fear me mortals! I shall freeze this city, I shall make this domain... Starting with this ... moving wagons building. (Reference for a trainstation).
    You would get emotes, villain banter etc.. while the Playercontrolled GM and his cohorts walks towards the target. Jumping on cars etc.

    What I'm trying to get at is... Involve the community more. We (I speak for myself, but I have a feeling many would agree with me) would love to help and make things even better.
    What would be good was that you would get helpers free, no hireing of personel to help just for this.
    I did mention in my "anniversary event" one thing that Anarchy Online (sci-fi morpg did very right. They called it Advisors of Rubi-Ka (ARK). In short a few hired personell ran it, but most of the organisation was crewed by active players who enjoyed helping players. They did so by greeting new players at first, then as they showed their worth, they could begin helping with troubles like /stuck etc. In this ARK they did have a kind of fellowship and a great time. I do remember that one of them told us players that he had not logged in on his player account for atleast 6 month (can't remember for sure), he just had it too fun as an ARK.

    My point again is. You have an active playerbase, who would love to help out. Please Involve us
    Anyone got any other suggestions to how to improve the Anniversary event?

  20. Previous years these anniversary happenings has been the same. A mod shows up and spawns various GM's and AV's. Usually in Atlas Park, Talos, Cap Au Diable.
    We get a big lag, specially power lag, feast, due to plenty of people showing up. We get the possibility of badges already in game and merits. And getting yellow titles
    Thats ok, but just ok.
    But the same "event" happening over and over again....? It could have been made so much better.
    Now hirering a lot of people just to do this would be unwise, but how about recruiting a few willing players that could be trusted to this?
    (I remember the Ark system (volenteers system) in Anarchy Online... They made the best Volenteer system I've ever seen)

    How about if the Mod him/herself had prepared some scripts of Monster texts. A big evil menace that tries to take down the city. Taunting the heroes as the heroes prepare to defend the city... (then spawning the critters)

    Or, how about if the company enlisted a few Roleplayers. Envision the scenario.
    [Known RP/used channel]: Mod08 (just using your name here): Heya guys and girls, we are going to start the anniversary soon. I wonder if there would be voleneers to play the bad guys in this event?
    [What RP'er would not jump at the chance of this.. Rethoric question. I know I would be jumping up and down and said "memememe pick me!"
    Mod08: Great, Ok. I'll be bringing you to a location or This is what I need help to do...
    Give those volenteers the power of/replace that char/ Temp power of Polymorph to change into a GM and the possibility with control over a set amount of GM's. Give them a spawnpoint that they can start from and let them go wild.
    I believe I can guarantiee that you would see broadcast like (ok say I did get picket)
    [Broadcast] Frost Giant: I ... Have Arrived. Forward my Minions... Lets destroy the Trainstation (or something)
    On their way, the Heroes could see the Frosties... jump up and down on cars (not neccessary destroy them), Emote speech. Taunting effects from the Playercontrolled GM's.
    Ok, they would only be spawned where the GM decided and GM's/Devs would have to make a few in-game mechanics.
    But you would have included the playerbase into creating a lasting and fun event.
    I can imagine a lot of players have more suggestions. We love this game and we want to see it even better, so we would (OK speaking for many, but I know of atleast a few others that would agree...) jump on the chance for something like this.

    Or how about allying with a few players and making the GM's, monster waves etc.. Target one specific player to follow. Heroes must save that player... but that player can then go anywhere in the zone though with those mobs...
    Hmm sounded more fun in my head then written.


    Ok, I did mention Anarchy Online. Their volenteer program is called ARK (Advisors of Rubi-Ka). On the top are a few GMs that oversee all the volenteered players. The max lvl in AO is 220, to get to be an ARK you have to have a lvl 50 char (so seen a little of the game) and want to aid your fellow players.
    The volenteer starts off as a greeter (Heya player, welcome to Rubi-Ka, I'm [entername], I belong to Advisors of Rubi-Ka and are here to help you. Do you have any questions I can help you with?
    And after the volenteer gets some time as a greeter, he or she helps with other things. Like Stuck, missing items, he could join Bug hunters or a lot of various services.
    All this helping is done Free. But there is/was a strong sense of team spirit and community in the Ark program, from what I gather. I remember one did mention that he had not logged in on his game account for about 6 months (or more), he had had such a blast being an ARK. So I would imagine things happened that was exclusive content for those pillars of the society.

    What I'm saying is I do believe there are a lot of players in the game that somehow would love helping out the community and GM's, somehow.

  21. Added a little extra text for Hami Taunt team.
    Added a little extra Tip for AT (about EoE usage)
    Added a 9'th tip (Due to Ultra Mode that is just around the corner)

    Edited into italic the tactic of Taunt teams trying to taunt the yellow Mitos. Until we get quick and efficiant teams, this is an idea we will just keep on hold for now. AKA Prepare and then run to safety when the Bloom is up.

    Did also change the team names as in reality the names are a little misguiding. F.ex the scrapper team do not consist of only scrappers. And not every scrapper is made for single target damage (most are, but there are always the few who are not).
    In the final run though this is detail picking (I know), but I felt like clarifying the team make-up a little bit.

    If we see the Devs, maybe we can talk to them a little. Defiant, Zukunft and Vigilance will have their times.

    For reference, 1 is Lady's new costume, 2 is old costume however currently i've dropped cape, 3 is Cy's hero outfit, 4 is her casual and 5'th more her true form (Nymph). And yes screenies are a little crappy I got to work on my screenshot skills.
  25. Can't draw a line to save my life, but I did look at the Vices and Virtues and had mental images going around. What was weird was that I had an easier time imagining my main (Lady A) posing for the Vices and my Very goodie-tooshoo (and most rp'ed char Cyrene) posing for virtues.
    That was... troubling. Has such thoughts hit the Artists aswell on their own chars?

    I look forward to see the Images of Heroes and villains that the participants will draw in this challange.
