Edit: To give many people a bigger chance to fight the big jello, I'm setting the time till 6pm gmt (from old time 5pm). Hope to see many there.

I was sad by the news from Ncsoft and the desire to host one more Hamiraid appeared in me. So to make certain that we do get a shot (maybe last shot) of the big jello, do reserve the date. Specially if you have not done Hamidon before.

Depending upon how many are still playing becomes present I might even host 2 if there are not enough players that has fought the big blob.

TIME: 14 September at gmt 1800 or 6pm.

Oh.. since I only have done this one way, read the sticky guide in this part of the forum for a general rundown of how its done.

- Developing Cyrene through rp interaction.
- Being part of the NHU, the stories made there with the members and sometimes making things in the base.
- Mother's Halloween run in city of villains, running as a lvl 4 from Mercy to Grandville, during apocalypse event and listening to a dj channel. That gave me a good adrenaline
- Leading my first Hamidon Raid to success (there where plenty more).
- Fighting the Hamidon the first time on Union right after issue 9. That was seven hours of die hard fighting as we in the end succeeded.
- UBH/Sal's (before it got usurped, so Sals badgehunter channel) The good community we had on Union server, the willingness to help get the various badges.

- A day in Croatoa during Katie Hannon TF when one player looked at my badges and told me... "woa looked at your badges and nearly lagged out" :P
- Talking to the devs when they occationally came to pocket D. Specially War Witch.

I guess Lady Arete will have prepared a ritual (and since I almost cannot see Cyrene or Lady Arete away from each other) with Cyrene in the room.
The reason, the Lady searches for more answers on the multiverse, so when the portal opens, she and Cyrene will go through.
Where the portal goes to... well that can be written later.

If Cy would not be there, I guess Cyrene would prefer to drink some orange juice in Founders falls, then head into the forest, as it calls to her.

Well thats storywise.

For me (sigh), I guess Secret world (leviathan, templar). Its strange really. Anarchy Online, was my first game (and I really put my gaming time in there) and its still going.
CoH was my first real RP (and its going to be gone)...
Not going to look at a ncsoft product for a while, but maybe in the future (depends upon my friends).
So Secret world for mmo.
And plenty of single player i.e mount and blade:warband (some of the mods are just awesome), strategy games and the like.

That it has.
Still do not understand the reason why ncsoft has done what they've done.
I'm going to miss this game and the people playing it, the costume creator and the sidekick system.

It was a pleasure playing with you all, thanks Union for all the years and the fun. The rp, the events, the raids, even the few pvp bits I've been in. It has been quite the ride.

I'm actually happy to see Marauder smile. Of the Preatorians he seems to be the closest to one that actually is hero material.
But then most of my feelings of that is his talk to me in Praetoria at lvl 5'ish. After his girlfriend is dead and the way he opened up a little. Sure he likes to pound things and well Cole is the Emperor, but it was the unsaid things and the mood there that told me... Regret. And a man working to protect the people of Praetoria, even if that ment loosing what was dear to him.

My problem with watching him...?
I say to myself "Hello Night elf druid.." Ok he do not have that ear size and well have hooves, but other then that...

There was a question of Sister Psyche mindriding someone else. Yes, Manticore was there, your character was there ... and the newest member of the phalanx was there. (npc ally)

Thats a lot of characters Thyristor...
Maybe that is the reason why I have limited incarnate stuff to currently 2. (Ok another reason might be, cause I've only got 2 lvl 50 to play But many other lower tiers. )
Even with nr 2 I look at all I need to equip her and go more "... in time... no rush"

Although I'd most rather want to see something else then Penny and Shadow Hunter on the forum. Seeing Penny on the game login makes my leg hurt. If there was an option to turn off the background on the forum... I would have done so Zwill.
My reaction (did see the new forum background and then your apology) was "oh no..." After all I have a feeling the third (not made option in the poll) would have been "Do nothing!"
Statesman and Lord Recluse are iconic characters for me in CoH. So the "oh No feeling" was coupled with the same feeling I got when I first saw the Circle of Thorn new outfit that the Devs wanted to give us and their reason. (Devs liked it, had worked much on it and did not want to waste it -My understanding of it.)
The new Thorns are still not the Circle for me... BUT back to the case at hand.

Can we get an option to turn off Shadow Hunter & Penny? Or get the choice to pick between that and the prior one?
(And sad to say I'm already looking around to see if I can change the game log-in screen)

Forbin has plenty of good points about Orcs. Just going to add a bit more.

It was Tolkien that invented or created Orcs as we know them. (Also the idea of human sized elves with stories and mythology as humans have. Prior to him elves where akin to fairies.)
Later the ones responsible for the game Warhammer changed the orcs color to green, from Tolkiens more brown version (Fortunatly). Thus starting I think the green hoard. And as Forbin said Orcs have been used/modified in Dungeon & Dragons.
Thus giving us the basis for Orcs as we know them today.

To the title question.
My reason. My first villain to lvl 50 was a Mastermind... a bots/FF.
I had all my commands to the pets on my numpad, played it as good as i could, but I found it boring. I had decided that I wanted to unlock the Veat, so I did get the mm to 50. Now... she is simply gathering dust!

My playstyle is blapper and I love blasters/dominators and Def/corrs, so that must be my second reason.

It is a dark room and the Lady sits quiet, looking into the crystal ball. A challange has been given, so she focuses what she knows into the crystal ball. It glows, the only thing that gives light in the dark room. She can see a figure approaching, but a boy or a girl, she is not certain of a little more scrying and she will find out.
Then something strange happens, the crystal ball breaks. She blinks.

Burnout happens from time to time. What is important is to take a step back and do something else for a period of time. And summer is coming, feeling the fresh air and the sun warming your skin. Being with friends and generally doing what life has to offer... and playing other games.

Only thing I'm "Tired" of specifically also with Paragon Marked is... Well Paragon studios do have a thing in my mind of not making menus properly. When just a few more buttons or features would make (game)life much easier.
Take Paragon Marked. There is no marker to see if you already have bought the item. Say you made a list of items that you want to buy, you have gone through the slog of putting things in your cart and you want to buy it. BUT
the purchase will not get through... meaning you already got ONE (or more) items on the list... but which one?

In the paragon marked when I see something I want I click for it to appear in my wish list... why oh why do I then get shuffled to my wish list and have to do the search again... to find where I was (cause I wanted another thing on the page I was...)
The AE... Better search engine would be nice. Since it appears farms is ok now, why not do a remake of the search engine, so that those who favor farms do not accidently play yours and find it is not a farm and rate it with a 1 (with the reason it was not a farm)?

If the Nemesis invasion the entire month is the only thing that will be done to celebrate 8 years of CoH... Then that will be an anti-climax for me and rate probably lower then issue 15.
BUT regardless of the above issues. After a long break from the game and issue 22 being here, (AWESOME ISSUE) I'm back and having fun. So many new things to see and do, badges to get, builds to improve and hopefully get some rp done in the near future.

With Chrome and Firefox I get message "Something seems broken here, and tells us "IO,Error."

Clicking on the one arrow do not work as it works for only this message "Utilizes a "timeline" approach to tease upcoming sections and speakers. New reveals are tantilizingly too small to make out in the initial frame"

I like it. Specially how our attention looks straight at her eyes, due to the light. The head is very well done and the details are well... very detailed.

With some of the portals though it should open up for some of the praetorians to get to Primal (Like Ghost Falcon). And they would bring with themselves stuff/tech.
Maybe Primal can be made a little better and stronger with having Wardroids on our own side against that coming storm.

Again a little group amongst Primal Earth doing stuff. I did think upon them and Maelstroms defection, but still is there a timeline for when things happened. After all Portal Corp started their exploration before Ultimatum stole the teck, did they not?
Or were Ultimatum the first one that got the coordinates to the Praetorian Earth dimension? And thus the attention of Tyrant?

If it was Ultimatum, that started the conflict, then I hope the heroes of Primal Earth will find out about them and... pay them a visit. And that there will be peace between the Praetorian population and Primal. (After all it was not an attack by a united government, UN or anyone)
Just as there should be one between Rikti dimension and Primal.
Specially since we did find out who and how the first Rikti war came to be. (I'll not say the name, so as not to spoil it for those that has not done the arc.)

Okay, how did Primal Earth shoot first?

By making contact with the resistance first? Opening the portal to Praetorian earth? Sending in probes as they discovered things? Getting kidnapped by praetorians and needed to send heroes through to recover them?
Discovering that there had been established various cells of Praetorians on Primal earth and sent them packing back to where they came from?
I tried looking it up, but I could not find anything (so either my search fu is weak at this moment) or a "revised history" from Devs have not gotten out to the public.

The highest wish I got for one or more characters is... well take a look at the Sybils in Cimerora or Sorceress Serene.
From the waist down the sybils and Serene has a (its late and my vocabulary seems to be going away) nice piece of cloth.
I was wondering if we can get a similar piece on our characters, as a skirt (or at worst a belt).
Can we get Dink? Please? (With sugar on top)
It would fit my nature and magic users... alot (and I'm certain I'm not the only one)

I'd go with option 3, none with Penelope in it.
My reason is the following. Yes, she is now going to take over the mantle of Sister Psyche as per the SSA. Yes, we know she is competent (more then Fusionette)
BUT
Penelope is a newbie heroine with little impact on the gameworld. She just gets into the Freedom Phalanx (FP) to fill up for Sister Psyche. Which is a little weird, considering she was just in a few missions with the Player in the SSA.
Shadowhunter is also in the reskin, why o why? He is only currently on beta!
(Mentioned in a few arc and fights in an upcoming I-trial)

Why the two of these small timers? Why not established heroes and villains like; Lord Nemesis, Lord Recluse and his Arachnos, Malta, Council, Carnival of Light, Freedom Phalanx (most of them), 5'th column etc?
Most of those would be logical names to put forward instead of obscure characters.

Thanks for hosting the competition. It was fun making the outfit and seeing the others choices. Most fun was the concept; that you had to guess whom we where.

Well only if he or she goes undercover and then leaves (making a new identity). That is one way. I do get the feeling not, unless he/she gets strong friends.

You could simply ignore that they are arachnos, to just get the crab set up etc.

I believe so, after all redemption is a big gig on the blue side.

You could join "Union Roleplayers" and ask a few players there, telling the concept etc. I'm sure they will be delighted to get you.
