*snips all the whinging going on above*
THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS!
*sigh* -
I managed to snag a Praetorian Clockwork costume off of Twitter this way. It's actually pretty fun to do it if you have access when the contest is running! Even with all the costumes I missed getting it was still fun to try. I'll probably just wait and buy this one, though, since Wednesday is my busy day.

I suspect that since it's an Exemplar build that they figure slotting anything past the Assault Bots is a waste since it won't be available for use when the build is actually being used. This way they get something from it at least (a lot of movement speed, in this case)

Quote:Oh what the...? Did Jay turn into Gecko somehow while I wsn't looking? People demanding a dev be taken out because OMGSOMEONEONTHEINTERNETSAIDTHEYDIDN'TLIKESOMETHING ?I second a call for a redname response to this thread; I PM'ed David Nakayama last night.
If Jay, as sexy as he may be, has a personal issue that interferes with his willingness or ability to do his job, then perhaps they need to give him something else to do and find someone who will get the job done. One person's personal objections should have no business impairing the creativity of the entire playerbase.

I wouldn't have, but then I've done the story arcs that clearly show the origins of the Banes and the Fortunatas. Of course, those arcs also show why having male Widows and female Spiders is a lil bizzare, but hey. Playability > Lore in this case.
-
Sure, BAB's, the animator guy, will get right on fixing the dev digest, that web developer guy thing. Yeah.
Logic? We can no haz it?
And a tweet takes, what, five to ten seconds to write? Obviously the EONS that have been wasted by devs on this are completely ruining the game... -
GAH! This is way to cool. Way way way awesome!
-
I can see my Mastermind at 40 seconds in! She's hovering in the lotus position just above a Crab Spider.
-
Nobody is going to play the arc after that mission anyway. 20 minute timer with an AV and a mountain of potential glowies to deal with? Yeah not so much.

<QR>
It's all there in the EULA and it's all there in the language they added when they added the Mission Architect. Heck, it's all even in the announcements they made advertising the Mission Architect.
You exploit the system you pay the price. It's been there since day one. This is not news. What is news is that they said "We warned you, you didn't listen, here comes the punishment". -

heroic solo - AV and EB become bosses, bosses become lt's
that way everyone can solo an arc in theory if they are on heroic
[/ QUOTE ]
Correction. EBs become Bosses. AVs become EBs. -
People dislike them. Intenseley. Vahz more than Orangebagel, typically. That said, if it fits, use them!

She hasn't been in combats that I know of, but Ghost Widow did show her how to bind a spirit to herself...

The cape is in the DVD edition unlockables.
The arachnos helmet pack is ONLY the helmets. AKA the pre-orders for CoV / Vet reward helmets. -

I'm almost sick of Hellions and Skulls at this point. Why doesn't anyone use low level stuff from red-side? Snakes, RIP cops, Mooks, etc.
[/ QUOTE ]
Because hardly anyone writes villain arcs to begin with. Those that do get made tend to be "blow up the universe for fun" and what not.
[/ QUOTE ]
I wrote a villain arc that works just fine at low levels (soloed it as low as level 5 without using Vet Rewards). I used mobs that are 1-54 (Longbow, Council, Paragon Police, Custom Critters) and it worked out just fine. The best part is it stays relatively fun regardless of what level you run it at. I don't have the arc ID handy, but it's got the SFMA and LBMA tags in it (Terra Incognito No More (hate the title, but can't think of anything else right now that isn't seven miles long))
The problem with using Snakes is that they are 1 - 54, but have a broken portion in their range. RIP level limits the arc, as does Mooks. What I've found is that Arcs that don't have at least one mission that goes up to 54 tend to get very few plays on them. Not always, but most of the time. -

I am assuming these tags will go in the 1000 character mission description since they are going to be searched on. Using 20 to 50 additional characters is a fair tradeoff for the tremendous gain in accessibility.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's only 300 characters. I WISH it were 1000 characters.
[/ QUOTE ]
This. That 300 character limit is what's making folks try to be more creative with them. Until the devs put in a baked in tagging system (which is likely to take up part of our filesize, drat!) then we have to squeeze as much into that 300 as we can (including our actual description!!!) -
I have characters I know cannot handle EBs. I play them on Heroic. Then I have my MA/Regen Scrapper and my Necro/Dark Mastermind and giggle at EBs. I've yet to have real problems with the EBs I've made on my wimpy toons. Granted, I keep my EBs in sane power levels (no extremes from me), so that may help.
-
The other side of that is that if you click the glowie before defeating everything, you wind up getting a lower mission completion bonus. It really does depend on the number of tickets you've already received in the mission.
-
Clear out all your local MA files and then edit the mission and see if you can correct it that way. I had weird issues with an arc and was able to fix it that way.
-
Drag And Drop.
The mission buttons on the top can be dragged and dropped.
I need to macro this reply. -
You can drag and drop the missions in the top panel to rearrange the order. This way you can put mission 4 at the front.
-
Yup. It's Twoflower's. I tried to send feedback on it after playing it on live but his inbox was full. O_O
