  3. Hey all, was just popping around test checking out I19 and reading Zombie’s guides. I started looking at what it’s going to take to run the new TF’s and they’re going to take some prep work to unlock them. Right off the bat you have to have your alpha slot unlocked to even get in (which means 50’s only.) To unlock the alpha slot you have to run Mender Ramiel’s Elite Boss heavy arc.

Once you’ve got the alpha slot you’re going to want to slot it with a boost for the TF. You don’t have to to get in but you’ll really be screwing the team if you don’t. There’s a damping field that drops players with empty alpha slots 4 levels making them 46’s and the NPC’s are 54’s.

Each common boost takes 3 components to make and an uncommon boost takes a common bost, two common components, and an uncommon component. Here’s a list of what components they take and where to get them:

The Special Tasks have their own Common Component associated with them. Task/Strike Forces give them out as a choosable reward table (along with Merits or a special Enhancement). There is an 18 hour cooldown on obtaining a specific component from the same Special Task.
    • Essence of Incarnate: Statesman Task Force or Lord Recluse Strike Force
    • Hero 1 DNA: Lady Grey Task Force
    • Ancient Nictus Essence: Imperious Task Force
    • Dimensional Keystone: The Reichsman Task/Strike Forces (Kahn for Heroes, Barracuda for Villains)
    • Penumbra of Rularuu: Cathedral of Pain
    • Gr'ai Matter: Bought with 150 Vanguard Merits (a Mothership Raid typically gives 100-300 Vanguard Merits)
    • 4 Shards: Hamidon Raid
    • (Note: Shamlessly stolen from Zombie's guide, why reinvent the wheel.)

    Holy crap at 1:25!!!

    Article - http://www.raytheon.com/newsroom/tec...8_exoskeleton/

Raytheon’s second-generation exoskeleton (XOS 2), essentially a wearable robotics suit, was unveiled for the first time recently during an event at the company’s Salt Lake City research facility. XOS 2 is lighter, stronger and faster than its predecessor, yet it uses 50 percent less power, and its new design makes it more resistant to the environment.
The wearable robotics suit is being designed to help with the many logistics challenges faced by the military both in and out of theater. Repetitive heavy lifting can lead to injuries, orthopedic injuries in particular. The XOS 2 does the lifting for its operator, reducing both strain and exertion. It also does the work faster. One operator in an exoskeleton suit can do the work of two to three soldiers. Deploying exoskeletons would allow military personnel to be reassigned to more strategic tasks. The suit is built from a combination of structures, sensors, actuators and controllers, and it is powered by high pressure hydraulics.
Representatives from Paramount Home Entertainment, including the actor Clark Gregg (aka Agent Phil Coulson of the Marvel® Movie franchise) were in attendance to capture footage of XOS 2 to include in a video that’s being produced to support the release of Iron Man® 2 on DVD and Blu ray.
  14. Here's a wild, crazy, off the cuff idea...put a Wentworths in every AE building with a suppressed and unsuppressed floor. There's alot of unused space between the bottom floor and Studio B.

Storyline: AE and Wentworths have partnered to bring more services to their customers through out paragon City and the Rogue Isles.

Design wise: Have an identical Wentworths and Wentworths Quiet that are accessed through the AE elevator. Have some Wentworths reps, a merit vendor in their hideous outfit, and throw in some invention tables for good measure. Also add a store or stores, perhaps one for each origin with an appropriately themed booth. Heck go all out and add a Icon rep.
  15. Guns and Roses – Appetite for Destruction and Use Your Illusion;
The best rock band that self-destructed (GnR is Axel and Slash, not Axel only.) They have my favorite opening riff in all rockdom.

Golden Earing - The Continuing Story Of Radar Love

Mötley Crüe; they may have had the hair band look but they were definitely heavy. Heh, I remember cranking the opening riff to Kickstart My Heart in my truck and buddy wanted to know if there was something wrong with the engine.

If you want to go back to the 70’s you can’t go wrong with A C / D C, Motörhead , or Kansas.
  16. Fista asked to see the build for my namesake brute last night so I’ve posted it below. It’s a pretty expensive build and it’s not optimized for survivability. It’s more of a generalist build split between recharge, resistance/defense, and endurance. I depend a lot on knockdown and god modes for survivability. If you’ve teamed with me you know I lead with foot stomp and spam it every time it comes up. If I knock them down they aren’t attacking me.

If things get ugly I’ll pop a god mode, either unstoppable, demonic/archmage, or 4 small purples (like to have 8 on hand.) At the risk of breaking my arm patting myself on the back I’ll say I’ve gotten pretty good at juggling the unstoppable crash. I try to save dull pain when I start getting near the end of unstoppable. When the icon starts flashing I’ll stop using foot stomp. About 5 seconds from the crash I hit demonic/archmage and then just before the crash foot stomp. After I crash I pop a blue, then dull pain, and then start retoggling.

The namesake is going to get more survivable when I19 hits. I’m going to respec into fighting and take boxing (throw away power), tough, and weave, triple slot them with 4 slots I’ll strip from my toggles and stamina, and fill them with HO’s. Hopefully the endurance hit won’t be to bad.

The other four slots, as best I can remember, that were revealed at the time, in no specific order:

-Judgement slot: An exteme damage nuke attack. Some were PBAoE, some were targeted, one was a cone I think. The were four flavours at the time; Pyronic Judgement, Ionic, Cryonic and Void that dealt Fire, Energy, Cold and Negative Energy damage. Further still, these could branch out into two possible directions giving the power either more damage or adding a control or debuff component to it.

-Lore slot: Summon enemies from enemy groups to fight for you. In the beta, there were only Praetorian groups listed: Clockwork, Warworks, Seers, etc. The most potent upgrade of any of these shown at the time allowed you to summon 1 Boss and 1 LT at a time from the group you chose.

-Interface slot: Added an additional component to your existing attacks; Fire DoT, -Res debuffs, -Regen debuffs, -ToHit, etc.

    -? slot: A team buff AoE. IIRC, examples were along the lines of (+Dam +ToHit), (+Regen +Rec), (+Res +Per) and a self+team rez.
