Yeah, why Statesman TF gives 30ish Merits but LRSF gives 25? Both are end game TF/SF. From what i've heard in game and read on this boards LRSF ain't half easier than Statesman TF.

Don't get me wrong my problem is not how much merits they both give, it is about rewarding the effort put into that TFs. If one is giving 30 other must be giving same ammount, or vice versa.

I wanted to post my comment after first chapter but than i thought maybe my feelings can change through the story. Nonsense, this story grasping reader from the very beginning of the first chapter. You give your reader enough space to paint dream picture by not going into too much detail about world around them and people themselves.

I usually don't read stories in this boards but yours captured me at the first moment.

I absouletly loved your story. Eagerly waiting for next chapter. Keep it going Princess and thanks for sharing this beautifull piece of art with us.

That is something i noticed on some players, they are taking this game too seriously. Sometimes i think i am the only one who plays this game for relaxing from everyday troubles.

Everyone has their own play style, own power picks and own ideas about their heroes. In the end some call others who doesn't fit their idea of perfect as elitists, noobs or whatever they want to name them. No matter whatever you call the others one thing i can't stand in game is being rude and being disrespectfull to others in game/team.

So everyone can flag one another with whichever title they see fit, unless they don't disturb my peace.

Game nearly freezes and my item list doesn't show properly. Luckily just selling nowadays but once got the same thing twice in ridicilously high prices. (Yup, i entered more nulls than needed )

Well, i am not really sure about elitist part.

To be honest i prefer this kinda topic to be derailed instead of accusing each other with some titles. We are all humans and we have our own personality normally. So i guess this thread or any other will make a slightest effect on people and their behaviors.

If you are tired of that kinda players use Global ignore, if you like a player use Global friend to keep them near you. For forums just stay away from dangerous topics and the ones includes the people who you think as elitists.

I'm currently playing a sonic/mental blaster. I've picked up WoC but rather than using it for the confuse aspect I was thinking of turning it into a psuedo damage aura by using procs.

It means loosing the bonuses from the purple set and mitigation from the smal confuse but instead you get the mitigation from everything being daed quicker

The power itself can be slotted with the following dmg procs:
Eradication: Chance for Energy dmg
Scirocco's Dervish: Chance for Lethal dmg
Obliteration: Chance for Smashing dmg
Armageddon: Chance for Fire dmg
Cacophony: Chance for Energy dmg
Malaise's Illusions: Chance for Psi dmg

Has anyone tried to use the power like this before? Something I'm definately considering doing when I get enough inf

Umm if i recall corretly WoC ain't an auto hit. So even those all juicy procs look appealing you need to hit enemies for them to work. If you can get your Acc high enough with other set bonuses, it will be fun to watch it work. If you will see it doesn't work you can always put them in your other powers, except confuse ones tho'.

Also you don't need too much inf. for them, just work a bit harder and get it with merits. (At least hard to find/pricey ones. Both confuse procs ain't that costy as far as i know)

Heh i think we can find some peeps around to hasten things a bit. I will be around as usual, i will add you to my globals so we can find each other without more hassle.

Mind is the best controller set we currently have if you ask me. If you play a mind controller as your first it is really hard to look other sets.

Mind is also set of wonders, you can do many things that other controllers can only dream about. As Psiphon said your biggest weapon is kinda useless in teams. Don't get me wrong your sleeps also help greatly in teams but generally i think Mind as better soloer tho.

You can't see many mind controllers because of their lack of pet and slower kill speed in teams (you have best single target damage, maybe gravity is better but his hardest punch takes ages to fire). People tend to go after sets with more flashy results in teams. As i always say, mind controling is a delicate business. You can put AVs, not talking about the AVs you see in your regular missions but the AVs in Statesman TF including big bad Lord Recluse himself, in sleep with one hit. You have many aggro free attacks to keep you alive while doing it. Last night i kinda tanked Mako/Scorpion/Scirocco when we pulled two or three AVs at once. Mass Hypno and Mesmerize mixed with confuses, your terrible AV slept like a baby before me. No you can't take them down like a ill/rad but that kinda help to your team by disabling a great threat is always a good thing in my book.

Maybe i am not seeing things clearly as Mind Control is the only set suits my personality, tricky, need to know what you are doing and need planning thru missions.

Also another big factor is some people's hate to Confuse powers and uncourage others to use them. For me, i use them anytime i feel the need. If others don't like Mass Confuse or Confuse they are free to go and kill confused mobs, as a mind troller I'm doing my job, preventing them from faceplanting. Confuse ain't loss of XP, confuse is one big friendly aggro free hold to keep me and team safe. I also got my share of bites from others during the Psy-knight's carreer to 50 and i know how that words can make one give up this brilliant set.

I am glad Mind has sleep instead of immobilize which i don't like. For stuns, yeah it's a pity Mind Control don't stay as mind controlling and gets into borders of telekinetic powers. I really like to see stuns (single target and AoE) in mind control instead of Levitate and Telekinesis even those two powers are too usefull.

Seriously i can't point out "Legends" but i can tell you who my legends are;

Mother's Love... Other than being a kind hearted human behind her controls, She is a real icon. For me she is what Superman for DC or Captain America for Marvel. She is one and only most inspiring hero in Paragon City, Union server. There are many other golden hearted heroes in Union, they are too many to name but no one stop me in my tracks whenever i saw them and watch her fly by with amazement like a little kids in comics who are watching Superman fly by.

Mr. and Ms. Marvellous; they infected me with TF virus. Showed me how to run one, how to be kind and tolerant to new players even they are total n00bs at heart.

Zortel, we never met her in game i have to admit. We share different interests, she loves Roleplaying and i love TFs. I wish we can team up with one of her heroes in time. For me Zortel means Roleplaying. I really appriciate her way of giving this game a soul with her imagination. If i borrow words of Magneto and Prof. Xavier, this server needs realists to keep it alive also need dreamers to give it a soul.

Damz, Stryke, Sals, Zero and Magma Man. Those guys a big boost to community spirit we have on Union. They always come up with new ideas to see things more fun in game, even with here and then cossie contests.

Okton, we teamed with him once but he is the only reason i decided to stay in game at that certain time. Without his knowledge and guidance i couldn't have a hero which i claim suits to me most and even amaze me still after all that time.

Saxtus, Chin, Jay, Bjorkiz, Covinus, Velinia, Clawd and Drayven; these guys gave me strength, courage and confidence to make me what i am today. If leadership duty mostly fall on me in my teams and TFs it is just because the faith they put in me on those days. Yeah unlike i mentioned above most of those guys are also my closest friends in game but we started as total strangers who are willing to have some fun in a TF or regular team. I am very glad i didn't prove their fatih fruitless and hope i will stay that way.

(Note: Even he believes he is mainly a Defiant player, as i stole him sometime ago, Mereman )

I know my weak memory is betraying my heart and i forgot many people. But those mentioned above are fist to come in my mind.

My Dark/Rad defender Black Magic Man is still level 9. My weekend was filled with TFs again. 4 TFs and Flying Circus left me little time to care with him. As we will do regular missions you can sk him for time being.

Well another weekend's work is done. I was a bit on and off and mostly show off but that was another good weekend meeting.

I am wondering how will our new base design will look like. Herczeg will do a good job of it i guess Oh and if you can make to Union some in week night Herczeg, i have Stell bank mission on my defender so we can get you a self rez power.

As all of you know we will enter Citadel TF this saturday. As Curse can ghost i guess our TFs will go a bit faster.

If we need prestige you can invite my non-SG heroes to Flying Circus for a time. 3 of them is my main heroes which i juggle between so they won't have any danger of delete button.

(Hmmm if suddenly devs decide to throw in a psy based secondary, Psy-knight will be re-rolled. Knightly Defender is kinda critical also, i can't shake the feeling of uselesness in me while playing with him)

Ah! I was wondering why Controller Repulsion Bomb and Force Bolt does more damage than Defender ones. Meh! Here goes my Mind/FF superior damage controller idea, right to the garbage.

Oh also ice bolt gets a weird containment damage. It's damage is better than fire and earth single target ranged attacks i guess. I get numbers like this; 100, 46, 58. No never checked on Combat tab.

I've used maybe... 5 respecs at most on one character. 3 of those being freespecs.

I used to respec my char when they hit 30 to move the travelpowers to an earlier level, but i've stopped doing that now as i come to think it's pointless

There's been the odd char where i used a respec before 20, usually when i tried something new and didn't like it.
Most my chars even have all their 4 vetspecs left, as by the time i wanna respec em, they've gotten a freespec anyway

Nowadays i use second build instead of respec before level 20. One can't really know when one needs a respec.

I only closed that path on my current FF/Psi defender(solo/team builds) but he won't need any respec i guess as i am re-leveling my first ever toon in this game again.

One question, if you use respec do you do it on your active build or do game allow you to choose which one to respec?
