  1. Instead of making a new thread, I will add my question to this one.

I am looking to finalize my character concept and need some help. I am looking for the best synergy for KM between Willpower and Electric. I am looking at the way the powers work in addition to the way they would look when trying to mesh them with Kinetic Melee.

The character's name is Crimson Concussion and is a mutant.

I may still tweak the costume a bit.

I have a couple of low level WP scrappers and a level 50 SS/ELA brute that I haven't played since before they added Energize. I do remember being a bit squishy against S/L.

    Any ideas?

What I was talking about was :

    Sniping

If you’ve already successfully hidden at least 10 feet from your target, you can make one ranged attack, then immediately hide again. You take a -20 penalty on your Hide check to conceal yourself after the shot.

Though I suppose this is relevant:

It’s practically impossible (-20 penalty) to hide while attacking, running or charging.

So in theory, you can hide while attacking at a -20. I have to wonder if there's rules call on this via a vis multiple attacks.
Well, at 9th level I had a 20 hide skill so it would come down to the roll and modifiers. I think there were some other modifiers I got that were not added to the skill sheet, but could be tacked on most of the time.

Now that the Dark Sun books are out, we might actually start a 4th edition game, so I will find out just how broken it is.

Nothing beats handing the GM some papers while saying, "Here's my character" and watching him flinch.

And as I read through it, it killed me that I would have to bring her into "Mother's" care. Only... It turns out I didn't have to. "So, what, I should let you go?" says my line in the dialogue, and I'm thinking it's just creative writing, but no! Vanessa says "Yeah, you should." And I say "Yeah, I should. Go." And I go O.o

You know what the best part of it all was? This was NOT a morality mission, and it didn't change my alignment. I didn't have to abandon the Loyalists, I didn't have to join the resistance, I didn't have to flip the game on its head. For the first time in... Well, the ENTIRE Praetorian storyline, I was finally given a choice that I felt like I made on my own. I wasn't facing the pressure from my alignment, I wasn't facing the consequences of doing the "wrong" thing. It was just a choice, for me to make.
Sorry to tell you, but she put the mojo on your mellon and you made the choice she wanted you to!
  4. While trying to google 'comedy manga boy thinks he is a robot' I actually found this thread so I am just going in circles.

Not too sure about that, but its been awhile since I played. I know that the HiPS that the Shadowdancer PRC gave allowed you to hide as long as a shadow not yours was near, even if someone was watching you. You didn't even need something to hide in/behind.
  6. I need to look up and see what the new D&D Essentials is supposed to be. Couldn't find much info when I looked the other day.
  7. 3.0/3.5 is broken.

Our Gm once ran a game and decided he didn't want anyone to use any book outside of the the three core books, PHB, DMG and MM to create a character since he felt allowing any other book would allow for a broken character.

I took that as a challenge!

I created a rogue/ranger/shadow dancer/horizon walker character with stealth levels so high that it was impossible to roll high enough to see him. There was simply not enough bonuses in the game even using feats to get a high enough spot.

The Gm did point out that stealth didn't equal invisibility to which I replied...
It will next level when I get HiPS!
  8. When you first unlock them, I seem to remember that you had to log completely out of the game to get them to show up otherwise you might have to gain a level with your villain to make the system recognize that it is over 20.
  9. I'm addicted to having money. Can I sue my company for not paying me enough?

Most Psychiatrists are quacks who invent disorders to justify their own existence. They then prescribe drugs to 'treat' a chemical imbalance in a person's brain that they say is there even though they haven't tested it and have no idea what the drugs will do.
  10. Here I thought there was going to be a thread where everyone praised a nerf.
I was in the process of making my peace with God and preparing for the world to end, but then it happened.

    Someone complained!
    Whew! Dodged that bullet!

    True Blood, 8/15

I haven't gotten a chance to watch the show due to not having HBO, and my box sets of the first two seasons are still unopened, but from the clips I have seen, I think I know what Sookie is.....

    She is a .......

That is why we put the sugar in before it gets cold. Before I got lazy and started buying Milo's, I would make my tea and once the tea had steeped long enough I would put it into a jug, add sugar and make sure it dissolved before adding the right amount of water to fill the jug.

I am living in the south. I fully expect the weather man to come on screen and say, "Tomorrow is going to be hot with a 80% chance of FRIKKEN HOT!!!"

Grits with butter and salt and pepper as needed is the usual way to eat them.

I prefer to take eggs sunny side up and put a little salt and pepper on them and then dump my grits on top. Add the butter, salt and pepper to the grits and either crumble up some bacon or chop up some sausage into the grits and use a knife to cut up the eggs underneath the grits and then stir it all together and eat it with buttered toast.
  18. They way you people abuse tea by leaving it hot and putting weird flavors in it I can only assume you are also the people who put sugar into grits.
  19. Maybe it is Odin in the giant robot and when it is over, Thor restores him back into his body as Odin planned all along.
  20. If tea isn't sweet, cold and served in a glass of ice, then you are doing it wrong.

  23. To flame, or not to flame--that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The barbs and insults of outrageous forumites
Or to take arms against a sea of threads
And by opposing end them. To post, to flame--
No more--and by a flame to say we end
The heartache, and the thousand natural shocks
That forums are heir to. 'Tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wished. To post, to flame--
To post--perchance to flame: ay, there's the rub,
For in that thread of flames what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mundane thread,
Must give us pause. There's the respect
That makes calamity of so long posts.
For who would bear the whips and scorns of flames,
Th' oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely
The flames of despised love, the mod's delay,
The insolence of office, and the spams
That patient merit of th' unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? Who would flames bear,
To post and swear under a weary thread,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscovered thread, from whose bourn
No post returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those flames we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus anonymity does make buttheads of us all,
And thus the native hue of 1600 x1200 resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprise of great posts and threads
With this regard their currents turn awry
And lose the name of action. -- Soft you now,
The fair Golden Girl! -- Annoying, in thy orisons
    Be all my posts remembered.
