Quote:If you're using the LFG window, it doesn't matter where you are (well, sans missions and such that simply conflict).Well, I just spent a good five minutes or so in Pocket D2 on Virtue with the LFG window up and set to be in the queue for BAF. Then waited, and waited and waited and waited. Is that how it's done? This is why there needs to be a contact npc to explain this stuff.
Guess I'll take a break for a couple hours and try later this evening.
If you're going to Pocket D (go to 1, not 2, 3, etc), then watch broadcast for BAF/Lambda teams forming, and when one is announced ask to join. You'll get on a BAF using LFG much less often than a Lambda, since a lot of people just choose the first available option, and Lambda requires less people, so it'll suck up most of those. -

There we go, all fixed now! -
Post a CoH Helper and HiJack This log. Always possible your drivers are out of date, which is what's impacting you.
-
-
Are you talking about ST damage, or maximum potential damage if target capped?
-
Have you /bugged it in game? If not, you probably should (that goes into their bug database, posts here... don't).
And, while you're here (assuming this isn't ONLY to rant), you might wanna post the output of a CoH Helper and HiJack This log, so the other players here might be able to help solve whatever your issues are, if possible. -
I've not really noticed any issues with longer load times than when I first started playing the game (back in i6). A number of external sources can cause increased load times, especially if your system has less than 3-4 Gigs of RAM.
-
Those weren't supposed to be showing a contrast (I had originally started writing the post before you wrote the second quote, and right after I posted that I saw your new post, so added it in).
-
It's funny how you keep shifting the "point" of your post.

Each time someone addresses your "point", you just claim your point was actually someone else, and try to insult them for missing your ever-shifting point.
Edit:@The_Spad_EU, you also forgot to list all the versions of OS X they have to test! I also wouldn't be surprised if they tested each of those OSes with both ATI and nVidia graphics as well (maybe also Intel). Quite frankly, I would have told the people running SP2 to 'upgrade or throw away your computer, you're a danger to the rest of us' -

There's a third button?
I only noticed the two triangle ones (similar to the triangle one on the old-school team window... but two...)! Definitely have to look for that next time!

What HotFlash said.
Assuming your system can handle it, and you've got sufficient RAM, and even a half way decent CPU, that thing should make Ultra Mode fly. -
When I was trying it out earlier, it didn't seem to be doing that for me... one of them would toggle whether it showed all the spots or hide the empty ones, and the other would toggle between only showing 9 players with a scrollbar, or showing them all in whatever configuration the team seemed to be layed out in. I used both buttons a number of times, trying to figure out how on earth they worked, and it'd never do a horizontal layout...
-
I'm wondering what's the deal with the layout of the League window... I've gone on runs where all the teams are lined up horizontally, which worked well with my layout, I've gone on ones where it went both horizontally and vertically... and now I'm on one where the three (at least!) teams are spread out ENTIRELY vertically, causing the window to go way off the top of my screen...
Is there any way that I can control how it's laying out the teams (not just clipping it at 1 team)? -
Quote:The character transfers thing was that character transfers could make characters unplayable. It says the hotfix is for Vet rewards and Character Transfers, could they PLAESE throw a Lambda Trial I-don't-wanna-crash-anymore fix too!!!
The devs just said on the live chat that they're still working on the kicks, they're not sure if they'll be able to get a fix to live before the weekend, though. -
That issue was with server transfers resulting in characters being locked, making them unplayable. There were also other things done as well (they just said that in the live chat).
They're currently working on the random kicks, and other things. No ETA yet. -
Welcome to the world of software. No matter how much testing you do, you'll encounter issues when you roll it out wide scale- that holds true for any software product (hell, a common "joke" in the IT world is to wait to a update to a new Windows release until Service Pack 1 is released... and then a few weeks after that... and that's the bread and butter of a one of the largest companies in the world...).
There will always be issues after a new release, especially one that adds new frameworks/infrastructures. -
I noticed this several days ago on my Fire Controller... I was using the Classic UI, what about you?

[Admin] Attention! In 30 minutes, the City of Heroes and City of Villains servers will go down for maintenance reasons. Further information can be found in the City of Heroes Forum.
Servers are going down. Just got that message. -

Quote:Sounds like you need to join one of your server's global channelsThere's still some old Freedom Phalanx TF's I never did and there's seldom interest in them, so barring me setting it up ahead of time on the forum, I'd have to hang around lowbie zones spamming for group members to do a not-very-popular mission. No desire to do that.
It's the best way to form/join teams for TFs/SFs/MS/etc. Still be nice to add it to the LFG window, but there's far, far, FAR better options than trying to use broadcast!

Check out the ParagonWiki article on Attack Mechanics. ToHit is character-wide. A power has a certain base accurcy (not all are the same!), which can be enhanced, generally only via enhancements and set bonuses (Widows have a power that boosts all their powers accuracy a tad).
I generally shoot for around 60-70% accuracy enhancement in a power, that'll put you solidly hitting at 95% chance (that's the cap) for even several levels above you. If you have tohit buffs (such as the special +tohit IO, or Tactics always running), you can get away with less. Several powers, also, have a different than normal base accuracy, like the AoE mez are often reduced a bit under standard attacks, while Nukes are often much higher than normal. -
I like the smaller Siege, to me it gives the impression that his model is more refined than the larger ones. Maybe a little extra pazaaze would be good, like the a variant of the ACCAHUD aura, but on different parts of his body in addition to his head? Something to give the impression that he may be smaller, but that's 'cause his tech is heads and shoulders above that of the War Walkers.
