Lambda and BAF In Game Contact To Explain?

Is there an npc anywhere in the game that can give an overview and explanation of these Lambda and BAF trial things (like how AE and the consignment houses have a information contact?)

The Wiki has nothing on BAF, and the information on Lambda is rather sparse at the moment. I'm sure that I could probably go to the global and help channels and eventually perhaps finally make heads or tails of the couple dozen or so different and possibly conflicting and even more confusing explanations that would be offered, but I would much rather get the info from a contact npc on what needs done to get started, where to go to get going, what to expect, etc.

It seems odd that i20 would be released with absolutely nothing in game to explain what is going on and how to get started on this stuff.

Prometheus in Ouroboros. You can't miss him. He's huge and blue...

...Dr. Manhattan anyone ?

I found him, but since I have not unlocked any Incarnate stuff, he is not giving any info on how to to get in on Lambda and BAF. I thought those two were a way to unlock incarnates.

So again, no in game help on how to get going on Lambda and BAF?

You can get into Lambda/BAF from the LFG button next to Email on your chat window.

Once inside, a narrator (it's unclear who) explains your objectives and what's happening as thing occur.

I missed him several times going through Oz, and after I read this I purposely went there looking for him... he was hiding behind a tree!

Well, I just spent a good five minutes or so in Pocket D2 on Virtue with the LFG window up and set to be in the queue for BAF. Then waited, and waited and waited and waited. Is that how it's done? This is why there needs to be a contact npc to explain this stuff.

Guess I'll take a break for a couple hours and try later this evening.

If you're using the LFG window, it doesn't matter where you are (well, sans missions and such that simply conflict).

If you're going to Pocket D (go to 1, not 2, 3, etc), then watch broadcast for BAF/Lambda teams forming, and when one is announced ask to join. You'll get on a BAF using LFG much less often than a Lambda, since a lot of people just choose the first available option, and Lambda requires less people, so it'll suck up most of those.

Ah. The Wiki info on Lambda was what was causing some of the confusion. The way it states: Zone - Any (but co-op zones are best) implied that everyone has to be in the same zone. That bit about co-op zones should probably be removed, since it is extraneous info.

I'll try later to get on a Lambda, when I'm not feeling so flustered about all this (as well as trying to figure out all the other incarnate stuff). I am holding off on BAF since there is no Wiki entry on it, and I would rather not go into it knowing absolutely nothing about the trial.

They do, actually.

Oh, never mind then.

Conflicting information detected. Self destruct imminent.

I was thinking of when pre-forming a league to queue as a group: the entire league needs to be in the same zone before you can join. But if you're queuing solo it doesn't matter where you queue from relative to the rest of the team you end up on.

This. If you're pre-forming the league/team for the trials all of that league must be in the same zone for the league to enter the queue (league leader initiates it). If you're just going solo, since you're the only person on your "league" you're always all in the sane zone. It does not matter what zone. The coop zones (Praetorian, Cim, RWZ, Pocket D) have become popular league forming locations because of the ability to team up with all alignments.

If there is room left on your pre-formed league, it should auto fill the open spots from the smaller groups in the queues. It's basically a new way of forming groups is all in an attempt to make it easier to build teams.

Okay, going to have my Warshade be the first to give this a try. Hopefully she doesn't get passed over or kicked from a team for not being level shifted or anything like that. (She hasn't done anything incarnate related actually.)

Will this serve as a substitute for doing Ramiel's arc, or do I have to go through that first? Is that what is meant by unlocking the Alpha, or is that something you do after going through Ramiel's missions? Had too much information overload since the beginning of the incarnate content, so much so that I have mostly ignored it all the past couple months except for the couple heroes who did struggle through Ramiel's stuff and were subsequently re-parked.

People haven't cared that my Fire/Kin Troller wasn't level shifted yet, or any one else as far as I've seen. You should be good.

Yeah, you can do this instead of the arc. His arc isn't that hard on -1/x1, especially if you use insps

Alright, just did my first Lambda and BAF on my Warshade and got her 60% of the way to unlocking her alpha (I was under the impression that completing one of these would unlock it. Guess I have to go do Ramiel's arc after all now if I want it unlocked tonight...hopefully I can find a team for this), plus got 32 Incarnate Threads, a Dimensional Pocket, Biomorphic Goo, 7 Astral Merits, and 2 Empyrean Merits. Guess I still have plenty of time to figure out what I'm supposed to do with this stuff.

Anyway, that was fun, even though I was totally lost inside the Lambda facility and had no clue what we were supposed to be doing in there, other than running around looking for somethings and getting creamed by the things inside.

I guess that there is the disadvantage to being unfamiliar with this stuff. Everyone else forgets that some of us have not done this a gazillion times.

Ah well, a few more times and perhaps I will understand this. The BAF trial was definitely more fun, and felt more like a typical Giant Monster Bash party.

You mean the Incarnate Threads? How and where do I do that?

Although right now, she's starting Ramiel's arc anyway, hopefully some tips will drop for her in the process.

And she just soloed her first AV... Granted, it was just the Echo of Rolodex the Strong, but hey! He had Arch Villain by his name.
