  1. It will be quite expensive and will leave a lot to be desired. Sorry to sound harsh, but the 23% accuracy in kinetic combat just won't do it, especially since you have only 3% acc global rech bonus, especially since you need follow-up to actually hit to get the to-hit bonus.

    It's cheaper to make a softcap build the traditional way. Sacrificing a travel power to fit aid self or even to soft-cap to all 3 positions is okay but I fail to see what your tradeoff is here.

  3. SR is positional defense, so focus on positional, not typed. Get rid of these kinetic combats and such, their accuracy is too low btw to use without mixing other IOs in an attack.

    You don't need the increased perception IO unless you wanna pvp and claws is bad at that.

  4. I was wondering, is it good DPS if I skip GFS and chain Scorch-Cremate-Incinerate (and scorch in the gaps if any)?

  5. It's Dark Armor, not Dark Shadow.
    DA is heavy on endurance, the main offenders being dark regeneration and cloak of fear. You can put a theft of essence chance for +end in DR to alleviate the first problem and you can skip CoF in favour of oppressive gloom.

    Mace has huge synergy with DA since OG is a stun aura and mace has various stun attacks. With clobber+OG you can insta-stun bosses.

    arc 244873: sewer map, all 52 lts (MA/Inv). Very good xp/minute and everyone can contribute, a tank is very handy in this.

    Edit: bah, only worth it if you're 50 - the spawns are set to 46-54 so when i entered with my 25 tanker as lead the spawns were 46...
  7. Since WP is click and forget, any secondary goes well with it. You might wanna look into the secondaries with AoE mitigation like Stone melee and War Mace because the knockdowns/stuns/etc give you room to regen with Rttc.

    I say keep the run speed bonuses and make a bind for Rooted, it's not like you need Rooted all the time with Granite on. The run bonuses make all the difference in my Stone Brute and I only toggle on Rooted when I need it (usually in the middle of a lot of mobs).

    Why not just bind teleport and use that instead? Or are you talking about movement once you are inside the mob? Or are you herding more then one mob at a time?

    Both herding and moving inside missions without having to toggle off granite to keep up. There are big maps as you already know. I just use a bind to toggle Rooted on and off when I want to run in a mission or herd more than one spawn. Rooted is not so essential to be used every battle giving you mobility. Hell my friend went through the entire ITF on Rock Armor+Rooted and never died, only used Granite in the final encounter.

    BTW Taunt lasts for 41 secs unenhanced I have no idea why you need the presence pool. Once taunted you keep them with you using mud pots. You should get the fighting pool if you wanna make your Stoner almost unkillable.

    The web immob is good for farming because you can footstomp and they'll be kb'ed even immobed.

    That holds true for all of the immobilizes except Electric Fences, though. And I'd much rather just have DN on them if I'm going to waste a long animation to cover a spawn.

    The web one is better because it's a targetted AoE and not a cone like the Mako and GW ones. Anyway I agree that MAce Mastery suckin general.
  11. You could get P.Fighting for some free def (3.75% to all iirc) instead of wasting slots and making gloom and D. Obliteration useless with those tohit debuff sets.

    I don't think you'll have a good attack chain since you didn't pick Incinerate and Gloom is not slotted for damage. You only have GFS and Cremate as single target attacks since Fire Sword is unslotted, and your recharge isn't that great to chain them.

    What's the problem? The game's easy, I was only impressed by a purple build once (a Warshade farming outpacing a well built fire/kin). Plus purples require a lot of money and/or farming.

    As Werner pointed out several times, there's always an uber-recharge attack chain and a medium-recharge attack chain for scrappers, and the dps difference is usually minor.

    I only went for purps on my permadom, not counting the cheapo sets on other toons (Sleeps, confuse). I love purple procs tho.
  14. Put a achilless heel -res proc in gambler's cut. You can take out the dam/end slot in soaring dragon for that.

  17. The problem is that EM now is too slow for Brutes. It's still fine on Stalkers and Tankers, even though my Stalker sometimes kills corpses with the new ET (and he used to 'killsteal' others with the same power before.... Poor regens in i12 pvp couldn't activate Dull Pain and died from AS+ET, I miss those days).

    I wish EM got the same larger radius on whirling hands that Doms got in i15. And that Total Focus were a NORMAL jump, not a slow-motion one.

    So, haven't seem many BA tankers since I returned to the game...

    Do you guys feel weak when facing a lethal resistant mob? I'm used to squishies and the only 'strong' toon I have is elec melee (brute) so I haven't played with lethal before (well I have a 30 claws/SR but scrappers kill fast so I haven't noticed anything so far).

    Here goes the planned build (making the toon atm), let me know if you have anything to add. Thanks in advance.

  19. Don't skip it, it's great now. Since you're ELM be sure to pick a ST patron attack such as gloom becuse ELM has poor ST damage.

  22. I'd stay with Energy Punch until you get an epic blast or some good +global recharge, then switch to Barrage. EP is essential on a low-level build.

    It is sad but true.. empath is just basically less needed in the high levels. Helpful yes. Needed no. Now you can say most any toon is not really needed, but on a team with good players who have fleshed out their toons.. they just don't need an empath.

    My empath is stuck at 42 for 3 years.. but my dark defender dinged 50 and my trick arrow/archery defender dinged 50 and my rad/sonic is in high demand and climbing fast. I would rather play any of them before logging back in as an empath.

    That's why I prefer empathy on a controller. They seem to fulfill the role better with the CC and the emp buffs.
