I am going to be home on Friday, and would like to do some (or all) of the following:

* The new 'Summer Fun' event, at least a couple of times
* iTrials (specifically I would like to unlock Hybrid on 1 toon)
* DA stories or arcs (I run these at +4/x8 and am willing to powerlevel if you don't mind debt. )

Please let me know if you will be on between the hours of 9am and 5pm est on Friday 7/6 if you would like to join me.

Both of my daughters (now 7 and 2) were born after I started playing this game. My eldest actually has her own account to play with me now.

Thanks for all the replies folks, lots of information to digest here! I am currently working a Staff/Nrg brute to 50 (40 now), but I did create my Titan/Elec brute and played him to 8 for now.

I enjoy defense sets, not getting hit seems like the best form of protection. Maybe add a little resistance in (ala Energy Armor), and I'm a happy camper.

Electric armor looks cool though, and it has a concept floating around in my head that seems pretty cool to me (either Titan Weapons or War Mace).

I am having difficulty wrapping my head around the set though. I mean, essentially you are going to get hit ALL THE TIME. So even if you get a % off of that, eventually you're going to run out of health... right?

I am able to build near capped defense into S/L and a respectable amount of NRG defense too, on a budget (no purple, no PVP). Is that enough though?

What tips/tricks go towards a set that relies exclusively on resistance survive?

"Itsy-Bitsy Spider", Crab Spider of Arachnos. The most fun I have ever had playing *any* character. IOd and purpled out to the 9s he is an AoE killing machine with pets and capped defense to everything. He is *tough* to kill, and I've been trying with the new DA stuff at x8/+4. Good times!

I bought both sets of trays the day the market went live... to me it was a *huge* QOL upgrade...

Hmm,good to know. I guess I was mostly confused by one of the claw cones taking the Positron set and the other taking Obliteration. Something seemed odd there, but I wasn't sure which was considered 'right' or the 'norm'.

I know that the good folks who work on MIDs are doing their thing, so as a substitute until it is ready I am using claws to represent staff fighting in my version to get an idea of my build.

"Eviscerate" is listed as a cone, interestingly enough however it takes PBAOE sets. So, do the two cones in Staff fighting both take cone sets, or does one of them take PBAOE?

The rest of the set lines up nicely enough. It has 2 ST attacks (actually more, but Staff only has 2), one ranged attack, the PBAOE, 2 cones, and I can pretend "Taunt" is the forms power.

Anyone know for sure how it is handled in the game itself?

I'm not sure I've seen this mission/arc. Who gives it out?

I haven't had this much fun with a new powerset in years! I rolled up a staff/energy BROOT and SMASHED my way to level 22 yesterday while 'working' from home.

I only have 4 attacks so far (2 ST, a cone, and an pbAoE). I run the form that gives an endurance discount, and am just mowing stuff down! I love the animations, the playstyle, and yes... even the sounds!

KUDOS to the Devs for a great powerset!

If you were to dropping "AIM" and pick up "Combat Training Defensive", and slot that with an LOTG 7.5% recharge you would see the following improvements:

1) Ranged DEF goes from 54.6% to 64.8% (which is over 59% cap, so you could pull a thunderstrike from somewhere and add another proc).

2) Hasten becomes permanent

This hurts my brain, but my thanks for putting it together. I'm sure I'll refer to this post when I get around to doing something with the converters. Right now, I wish I could just sell them because they seem to be too much effort to be bothered with.
