While I don't doubt there are idiots out there that do kick over such pointless things, I feel that we have far less of them here than in other games I've played. If anything, I'd say the opposite attitude is far more prevalent.
A couple ofdays back I was invited to a Frostfire team, despite telling them that my level 11 Tank was a concept build with no active powers from the Primary and an attack chain of Air Superiority-Boxing-Kick. The general attitude was "No worries, the more the merrier". -
I took the rez on my Rad/Rad because I thought it polite to be able to pick up the corpse I'd just TPed into the mob and used as fuel for Fallout.
But I've never been bothered by somebody not taking their rez. After a certain level deaths are generally so rare, even in PuGs, that it's not a huge deal to just use an Awaken most of the time. -

Can't help you with your question, other than the obligatory 'you might be better off posting it in the Tech section'. But I will say that I quite happily dual box CoH windowed, you could perhaps try doing that until you get things worked out.

I've also had Nemesis ambushers attack me inside Wentworths. I think they got in by jumping over the back wall, the same way I often do. It does make things more interesting.

Origins are a bit of a hangover from back when the game was in development. As I remember, your Origin would affect stuff like how many powers you could take and possibly how they worked. Only, they decided that it turned out to be rubbish and scrapped it.

If I read it right, is this the problem where the lower window has shrunk right down to the bottom, so you can only see the top one? The thing to do is drag a tab from the top window down below the line. That should make it pop back up again.

I think it should be qualified that players from the UK seem to have a better connection to the US then to the EU servers (which I believe are in Germany). There seems to be something in the infrastructure between here and there that can cause the lag people complain about, that isn't there between us and the US servers.
That said, I don't perceive a huge difference, but then I have updated both my connection and my computer since I played on the US servers. I have no doubt others may see a bigger difference, though. -

There is that and the windows reset in the general commands. It resets all the windows to default, except for that bottom default chat window. I can't seem to get it to come back.
