    COP again...

I hereby volunteer my services as Veng Bait.

    I'm /Regen, and I have Revive.

    For Ulli!

I want to eat those. Now.
  3. MM Numpad Binds are LOL. /popmenu is the way to go!!

Seriously, though. My current keyboard is a pile of Emmert, and I want to replace it. My friend Shadow has the G1 Logitech G15, but alas, it's no longer available, and the new gen version removes 2/3 of the G keys... o_O

I was thinking of either getting the Saitek Eclipse II Illuminated Keyboard, or the Razer Lycosa.

Neither one has any extra keys, but the important thing is that they don't have the new Emmert Layout:

The layout of the Home, End, etc. keyus is stuipd. The placemebnt of the INstert key is styupid. The F keys being smashed to a smaller spot is sdtupid. And the small jkeys, that are too far to the left, thus causing a lot of typis, is stupuid.

That is how my typing ends up, because of the Emmert layout of the keys. I have to constantly correct things. Makes coding a royal Emmert, that's for sure.

    Cutscenes

The CoV Tutorial has had that cutscene since I started playing, back in 2006...

I just wish they'd disable chat binds. I find it to be childish and immature when people spam them during a cutscene.
  5. I ended up shutting my compy down last night, and let it sit for about 5 mins, then booted up. A friend came over tonight, and I logged it, and cranked my settings back to what they were. There was a problem with shiney armor bits that went away after I hit Apply Now.

My friend logged in his account, and showed off one of his characters, and there were no issues that I saw. Really weird.

  8. You know, all these years, I've heard of meningitis, but never knew what it was. So, after reading the OP, I Wiki'd it.

I'm sooo sorry to hear you have meningitis, and I wish you a speedy recovery.

I can't. The 7/9 drivers were the first ones to support the GTX 460.

It sounds like your compy is shutting itself down to keep from being damaged. When I first got my new card, everything was fine until I loaded up CoH. Within 5 mins, that would happen to me.

Turns out the card was defective, and was overheating, reaching temps of over 100 C. It seems Win 7 (and I'd say Vista, too, by extention) has a nice safety feature built-in to try to keep your system from being fried.

Are you playing on a Laptop?

    Screen Tearing

Here's a post I just made about the issues I'm having on my GeForce GTX460.
  13. Today's patch broke something, graphics-wise.

I logged in about 8:10 PM EST, and there was weird green pixelation on the loading screen for Ouro, and the game was flickering. I went to Menu -> Options, clicked on the Graphics tab, and suddenly, my screen went black.

After about 15 seconds, it came back, and there was a in the System Tray, with a balloon saying the video driver stopped responding, but recovered.

I closed CoH, and restarted. I couldn't do anything because the account had expired. Ooops. Went and paid up some time, checked this thread, and logged in again. Turned off AO, and found that the Valk cape was an odd color, text in the chat box was blurry pixels, and then things came back, except my character had no legs.

I used /quit, and loaded the game again. I had to turn off UM, and set my graphics to Recommended. Anything higher, and the game flashes, and things get wonky.

At this point, I can't even bring myself to play. My video card is a brand new EVGA nVidia GeForce GTX 460 768MB GDDR5 PCI-E 2.0.

    Here are my reports.

I thought it was general knowledge that the Pillars are only vulnerable for 30 seconds. IIRC, Castle himself said so duing the Closed Beta. I didn't participate in any CoP runs at that time, but I did keep an eye on the thread(s) about them. I guess it wasn't (GK, that is...). Ah well. Live and learn.

  18. I use EditPlus+, and when I click Save As... I would type in filename.mnu while choosing Save As Type: Text (*.txt) below it.

Now, however, I've added support for .mnu files, since EditPlus+ is made primarily for coding.

To be bluntly honest, it almost doesn't seem like a Issue has been released with out a trailer done by you. You make rather good presentations and they come off rather well. Don't sell your self short on that.

It's been udpated with a little more info.

The interesting parts I found were:

I have taken a few measurements of these events:

    - Time from respawn to shield up/next respawn (includes Rularuu assault + AV assault) = over a minute and variable
    - Time from when the shield drops to when it is restored (AV assault) = 45s (consistent over several measurements)

Based on these observations, it appears that the length of time you have to attack the AV is a constant 45s, and you can expect a respawn 45s after you have dropped the shield. You will still want to clear the Rularuu as fast as possible to allow these blocks of time to be as close together as possible. When the AV's shield is up, he will regenerate quickly.

And this screen of Stormie's -52.71% ToHit DeBuff from his H4xicane:
