An additional question:
For procs that do damage, is there a cool down in which it cannot proc?
IE a psy damage proc hits, is there still a chance that the next time I use that power (suppose its a 1.5 second cool down like rad blast or something) it can proc again? -

Besides Mind/Elec is already commonly used and I'm not the first person to use an Ice/fire in pvp :P -

I think I'll end up going with Ice/Fire. It seems fun/good on a team.

Its unfortunate that i can't seem to grasp the differences in i13 yet :-/
Why would my hold mess up a spike on an ice/ but not a mind/ ? and why would the ice/fire do lower damage than a mind/fire?

Okay so I'm looking to make something different. I know Mind/Fire is bset but I really really despise cookie cutter builds. So here's what I'm looking at:
Grav/Earth - ok, this one's definately different.. but here's why. I know grav is good as a primary so that checks out as it is. But what I was looking at was mud pots. Would it be decent to slot with 4-5 procs and an end redux? I mean would it have a chance of all those procs every time it hit? that would be nasty (i think? :P) and I feel like grav would work well with it because of wormhole and all its other toys. I figure if nothing else I can wormhole them toward me to try and get that AoE damage in along with everything else. Sound good? Or not?
Fire/Earth - considered for the same reason as above, except with both mudpots and hot feet. Decided it was redundant and probably a bad build as I heard fire isn't great unless paired with /fire.
Ice/Fire - Hope you're seeing the theme here. Arctic Air slotted with the Smashing damage proc sounds fun, although definately not as fun as mud pots because its only 1 proc instead of 4-5.. along with its slowing toys. Fire for the damage obviously.
Mind/Elec - This one's kind of a fall-back in case nothing else works. I heard it's pretty decent, albeit nothing like /fire because fires attacks are more damaging and obviously fiery embrace.
keep in mind i obviously wouldn't expect my only strategy to be just get them close to me and let my toggles do the damage, it just soudns like one extra toy to throw in the mix. IE my strategy every single time wouldn't be to wormhole them to me and then start my chain... because it always depends on the situation.

I can see your point on levitate for fliers. I would still consider dropping it out of a build if I could find something more useful. though the amount of terrible fly/snipe blasters seems to be multiplying by the day. I spent most of the day yesterday on my fire/ea spamming rof to drop them for lulz.
Take me off ignore in game so we can get this done, sent you a few tells last night that fell on deaf ears. Nice e tuffness there pumpkin. -

HERE. I'LL DO IT.
1. Warshades cus when there is big group near u then u can turn monster mode and do aoe attack to make ur damag very strong also can TP high in air makes ppl dizzy
2. Blaster doos lots of daimge but if u make one don't take super speed cus its 2 fast to control and fliers will own u
2. (TiE) Defender because they can get archery and TA and i am heard that archery is top damage set for balaster so u can does lots of damige and take fly so they cant hit u cus u make them stuck to the floor
3. brute/tank/scrapper is all tie becasue u can get veteran sand of mu power and make dark melee so u take shadow maaul and then can get flurry so u have constant attack chane
4. all other one is tie for forth cus not 2 good very easy to kill and also only noob plays corrupter or dominator cus is weak and easy to kill and peavebringer is just worst version of warshade... also veats are bad but crab spider can be good if u take omega maneuver -

I ended up making a rad/cold. Question though, why do people say rad's t1 power is so great because of procs if the procs cant even scourge? I don't get it. Granted that I haven't seen it in action.
EDIT: for pvp do you even want to take the shields? I thought defense is pretty much moot so it seems pointless. -
Also... when you scourge do procs do double damage also?

I know this is a pretty broad topic, but I'm looking to make a toon (preferably a corruptor) that could hold his own in zones and be fun in the arena as well. And by hold his own in zones I mean actually get kills. I was thinking Sonic/Cold since I've heard that's a good build, but are there any other corruptor secondaries that are good for zone and arena? Dark looks good on paper (to me. Love tar patch, and the cc) but there's no defense debuff so If I were to make that I'd probably go rad/dark.
I don't want a full on support build. In other words if I can't solo with it i don't want it.
I might like doms but I heard they're extremely squishy.
I know stalkers are beast but I'm too lazy to level one yet since I remember how boring it was to get my last stalker to 50 on my old account. -
I know broadsword can fare well in pvp but I'm wondering which powers are the best to select for BS. Obviously Disembowel, Head Splitter, and Hack.. But should I pick up any others? (Don't say buildup, that's a given too) Parry? Slice? And how does Confront work in pvp...? Is it worth it?
Also, I know this is off topic but if you know the answer to the first you probably know the answer to this: what should a BS user pick up for PvE as well? Not looking for a hybrid build, just looking for a pve second build.
Finally, again for pvp, as a bs/regen what APP should I pick up? I heard body mastery is great for pvp because of physical perfection for regens. But what about weapons mastery for web nade? BS doesn't exactly have any cc (besides knockback but if you're smart you can avoid that) -
Okay so I just upgraded to windows 7 64 bit. I have an Nvidia 8500 GT 1GB. And I just updated the drivers so that isn't the problem. Regardless, I get we're glitchy graphics in game at some points. Its not Unplayable, its just extremely annoying. here's some examples:

Yes mind/fire are good, but i think they are too common. Ive seen a lot of good dom builds like mind/energy, mind/elec, fire/energy, fire/elec, fire/fire, grav/elec, grv/energy, plant/fire i think theres more. Oh earth/energy. My favorite would be a firw/ice if ice was still good
EDIT: How are corruptors? Are they good solo, or not? -
