Well if I overslot AD with something stupid like 6 Enzymes I can get AD to give me 30.6%, so 66.4% total + 30.6% (double stack AD) = 96% DDR, it can go higher if you overslot Battle Agility too. -
lets see if you have %110 recharge with hasten than without it you should have %30 global recharge without ench in individual powers. I think its too low even with an attack chain with DA (divine avalanche) if it was any other set but with dark armor you may have DR and OG integrated to your attack chain
If you also have at least one attack from your epic (preferably not a slow recharge one) it means you have 7 attacks (2 attacks depending on mobs GD, OG, DR, DA and your epic) you circulate depending on your enemies
SD and GC included if you are attacking a solo or less than 5 enemies, FS and LD included if you are surrounded. Also GC and FS are good fillers along with DA providing both a filler and defense up so not taking hasten is not a loss in your situation if you already have enough variety of attacks. -

BS also pairs with shield with is a notable advantage, as shield gets a lot easier to level up with if you have parry(though most builds seem to skip out on parry/divine avalanche at high levels, prefering to just outright softcap defenses instead of relying on something so unreliable.)
For katana its a little different DA does not drop DPS that much compared to parry since all attacks have fast recharge. I have a kat/SR and I remember at the 30's I took DA to help to level my character (this was before IO sets and faultline was still a hazard zone) and it worked quiet well. -
Slash is the quicker but lower damage one so you actually did correct thing and no respec is needed :P And gamblers cut only become good after IO's introduced and people start to get enough recharge to run top attack chain otherwise sting of the wasp was recommended first pick at level 1 before IO.

BU procs check (it has %5 chance) in every 10s (so statistically it fires up at least once in every 200s) in a toogle power so if you can use your click power more than in 10s (most follow up powers) than its more reasonable to put it in click power. But build up power itself and rage are not good places to put it since they have longer recharge time than 10s.
Still if you don't want to get a toggle acc power or don't have place for it putting BU procs in a rage or build up is better than nothing if only you have a slot to spare. And some people prefer it only fire whn fighting in a toogle it does not gurantee it will fire in combat and not out of combat. -
Its easier to run katana's best attack chain since it has better recharge speed. I am not sure if GC's equivalent on BS (I think name is Slash) hits two times too.
You can use shields with BS but not with katana (something I still wonder why katana is the quick hit set yet its two handed and BS is burst damage set yet its one-handed)
Since GC hits two times (and its two quick hit nonetheless) it may fire procs two times (not tested by me yet but I sometimes get results suggested that this works) It fire reactive interface two times though since its easier to observe.
Pretty much it depends what you want to play. High slow burst damage than its BS, low quick burst damage katana. Also if you want to use shileds BS is ur only choice among these two. -
Try kinetic melee it has some nice moves that looks like chi attacks like kamehameha.

I use my kat/SR in a s/l farm. So far it didn't have that many running away mobs for a few reasons.
I played with both 0x8 and +4x8. Although admitedly latter one is harder it didn't give me that much headache with all insps dropping but I still prefer 0x8 for ticket farming.
My character has t4 muscularate, t4 reactive, t4 ion(though pyro or void maybe better in farm) and t4 barrier (lore doesnt matter really i rarely use it in farm)
I use LD-FS-GD-FS combo.
I have a bind that lets me combine not used insps (expcet blue, orange and green since my character still squishy without green and orange) to reds while moving forward and another bind that uses reds (thanks to auto powers in SR giving resistance I can use others in emergencies without a bind)
I still don't slotted my DB/WP with IO sets yet but admitedly she has better chance to be a farm build than my kat/sr (sweep and vital comboes one after another is good)
Having a smaller AoE area gave my character ability to kill mobs even if they try to run becuase they are surrounded by other mobs. Lack of good DoT (other than reactive) and mostly being a burst damage set giv me better chance to kill most mobs in first attack chain and their places will be filled by other mobs fast.
I don't know about other sets but my suggestion is if scattering mobs present a problem than burst damage sets are better for the job, at least for scrappers. -

Without a build its hard to say anything but lets see. First there is no useless power in SR except Elude. Elude is also useful if you don't have soft cap defenses (%45 at ranged, melee and AoE but a good number would be at least %46.5)
On Kat side remove SoW and get GC its better power that you can chain you attacks with just hasten. Top attack chain of katana is GD-GC-SD-GC but for AoE you can go for LD-FS-GD-FS this one needs a little bit recharge bonus to make but if you plan to IO your build anyway you will have enough recharge to do this with hasten. Ofcourse my second suggestion is getting flashing steel for AoE attack chain.
I am playing with no medicine pool with inspiration its managable but I suggest to keep medicine pool for aid self. I use leadership frequently for tactics, assault and manuvre but as a defence/endurance ration combat jump is better than maneuvre (also it will still pass soft cap of defence the full sloted difference is like 0.8 or so) tactics is not that necessary since all of katana attacks you will take does -def and you can use build up for IO slot.
You didn't wrote about your epic pool I am using body mastery with conserve power and physical perfection but I guess you can get any depending on your play style.
For sloting;
1) hecatomb set on Gamblers cut up to 5 enchantment (leave acc/rech one out you don't need it) + achilles heels -res proc. There is two reason for this gamblers cut hit twice although I don't have any solid evidence each tick checks proc seperatly (I saw numbers differ greatly) second reason is this power will be used twice in your attack chain so having it hit with both hecatombs negative damage proc and achilles heels -res proc increase your DPS.
2) Armageddon set in golden dragonfly up to five ench (don't put proc one in this unlike gamblers cut you need extra recharge on this power and you want this one hit so accuracy is a good addition)+fury of gladiator's -res proc (this one is optional, I don't have this since its very expensive ench but it should be make a difference in your DPS and any build on these forums that is not on a budget will have this)
3) 5 luck of the gamblers + global recharge, put these in 3 SR auto slots, weave and combat jumping.
4) Red fortune in toggle SR sets up to 5 ench on each defense ones prioritised. You can put 6 too if your ranged defense is too low.
5) +recory, +regeneration enchantments in heath, aid self, aid other and performance shifter +end proc in stamina (and in physical perfection if you take it)
6) steadfast +%3 res/def enchantment in tough.
7) Gaussian syncronised targetting control: +build up in either tactics, build up or focused accuracy (depends on which one you take if you put it in a toggle one it checks procin every 10 sec but it may use it while not in combat if toggle is on)
Other than these nothing else comes to my my mind at the moment.
You need to aim for getting your defence to softcap (%45 for melee, AoE and ranged) and try to get at least %100-105 (with quickness and the enchntment's i wrote you should have %92.5) global recharge without hasten it makes hasten perma and with hasten being perma you can run both attack chains uninterrupted, perma practice brawler (which is one of most important power since it gives mez protection)
For incarnates I suggest getting reactive radial flawless interface in addition to yours, others are depends on your play style. -
Like the title say I have a kat/SR and I want to know what I need to do for AV solo. I am open to any suggestions with my current build unless I have a good amount of inspirations (orange, green and some blue) I can't keep up with AV. Pylon was a total disaster after 7 miutes and getting it half hp i suddenly took 3 hits consecutively and died not even had time to use inspirations.
Following is my build but I am ready to make any change necessary, I have a huge amount of inf (more than enough to make same build over again and may even put some more purples and PvP IO's) so budget is not a problem.

I say try kinetic melee. With power siphon you should be seeing good big orange numbers also in late game there is too much thing resist or defense against BS's damage type but kinetic melee has two type damage in most of its attacks so it may have a higher chance to see big orange numbers.

Just my two cents I didn't make a katana/wp before but I have a katana/SR and DB/wp scrappers.
First katana part;
Divine Avalanche is not part of your damage chain its part of your survival chain so remove damage SO's from it and put defense ones and put a recharge one if possible. Gambler's cut in SO only build is also not for damage remove three damage SO and put defense debuff ones ır put sting of wasp instead if you want to keep damage SO's. You get build up too late you should get it as soon as possible.
Second part WP; I am not at a high point in WP so its all just suggestions IMO. With double stacking DA (you should be able to even if you don't put recharge in it) It will be enough to keep your lethal and melee defences at softcap. I am not sure 6 slotting high pain tolerance but I really can't find a good place to put those slots in anywhere else. If you plan to use strength of will at all though drop high pian tolerance to 3 health one and put all 3 slots to strength of will with recharges. remove resurgence and get hasten as soon as you can and 3 recharge slot it (you can take one slot from build up and one slot from conserve power which I explain to put where next) instead Willpower is an all around survival set with inspirations you shouldn't die that alot anyway and hasten is just a power you can't skip in katana.
Finally rest;
Get conserve power instead of focused accuracy and 2 slot it with recharge. Katana rarely needs more tohit buff thanks to almost all of its attacks does -defense debuff (and with gamblers cut having defense debuff SO's you don't need anything else if you are not going to put IO sets) and running that much toggle with fast katana attacks will drain your endurance faster than you think.
Fair warning you can't handle things at +4x8 without getting I think you won't have any problem at 0x6 or +1x6 but like i said I didn't played with a katana/WP still with my SO'ed DB/WP I can handle +1x6's in a S/L farm map in AE at level 49 and my kat/SR could handle +3x4 while he was SO'ed. -
I am wondering about something. Its ok wanting a swing travel power set but what will be other 4 powers? Other than a swing kick I can't think much without going a web-only concept and I don't think it will be done unless there is more general ideas about it. Othwerwise swing can be just added like ninja run or hoverboard.

I'm planning on rolling a Katana/Willpower to avoid as much redraw as possible and will be slotting at least two Achilles Heel -Res procs to help with the Lethal Resists I'll encounter. -
I wonder how they handled tier 9 powers extra critical chance for brutes.

There is burrowing other than swing. But I would like to have phaseshift power set even if not as a total travel power.

Although I listed it this way anything under Dominator really at same spot with minor changes in interest. -
I made some changes on build that hindenburg posted while trying to keep what BrandX pointed in mind. I don't like to slot brawl just to get a set (neither i like to slot boxing or kick for same matter) if i need to slot a set in anyway I prefer getting nimble slash and putting set in it. At least when I am hit down by slowing effects I will still have a useful attack and somewhat slotted instead of a useless one being slotted. I didn't mention but I have good amount of inf still I am vary of pvp sets and hami-o's. PvP IO's cost too much especially just getting them for one slot. For hami-o's i prefer to get a set bonus from a slot rather than flat out bonus from power. Although for some powers putting a hami-o's maybe better it means adding another variable to equation i need to be aware of and I can hardly keep IO sets in check (most of the time not even able to)

Only times I failed a trial except first couple of days were;
a) More than half of team doesn't even have alpha yet alone any incarnate power and level shift and didn't had tank or brute to keep agroo.
b) Only when we are doing minimum numbers of trial with no tank.
Other than these two conditions I never failed a trial (again except first couple of days) regardless of structure of league. (Still intended to make an all MM BAF run to see if server will collapse :P) -
After a long time I finally manage to level my DB/WP scrapper to level 47 and possible get her to 50 in a few days. One thing that bothers me though I find her a little too squishy after my SR. That is ofcourse because of poor sloting but also I don't have a clue to how to slot her. After searching forums for a while I find a build that is mostly to my liking and tweaked on it in mids for a while to get softcap S/L and E/N defenses. But I am stuck after that point so I ask help. here is the build.

1) If possible I want to keep soft cap of S/L/E/N and maybe increase them for another %1 or %2 since defense debuff on this toon is low.
2) I want to know this builds general survivalibility. Its my first time trying to IO anything other than my SR and my WS so I am not sure about resistance or regen values. If resistance and/or regen is not at there yet advices how I get them to desired values.
3) This is a concept build so although I would like to have better numbers on certain things, I don't want to;
a) Sacrife any of primary powers. I may do low level TF's with this toon occasionally and i kinda like power up combo.
b) Any Epic pool other than body is a no. I want to keep her as natural as possible except incarnate stuff and I don't plan to get PPP for her since I don't intend to get to villian side. For weapons I just don't like them.
4) If possible I want to put hasten and superspeed into build but this is not mandatory. Super Jump is a no. I have ninja run if all else fails.
5) I want to know if its possible to have purple sets in any power or are they not necessary?
6) There is alot slot left probably I will put them in attack powers to increase their efficiency just not sure which sets should I aim.
7) What is best attack chain on DB? I am currently using sweep combo->blinding feint->attack vitals while surrounded and power up combo->attack vitals while only one enemy around.

There is only two times that %75 debuf worths more than fire proc. First is if your base DPS so high that bonus damage from debuff outshines fire procs (almost impossible) second if you are fighting against highly fire resistant or fire immune enemies (they are mostly at early-mid game and I can't remember any at end game)

I remember seeing for MOLambda run people were recruting for non smash/leathal characters for a while I am not sure current situation. Oh and I remember someone doing spped tf's was saying no MM, PB, stalker and one more AT which I can't remember at the moment. I did most of level 50 tf with him and longest was 27 minute. I didn't do a speed STF though so I can't be sure how will be it fare and longest one was LGTF mostly because of hami stage.
