I forgot to add my global because... well, because it's @Jophiel so it was obvious in my own mind
Everyone feel free to send me influence via global e-mail now! -
Name: Pronghorn

Even if it is a 90sec affair, I have to commend you for breaking the MMORPG gamer stereotype and taking a daily shower.
-
Ah, well, that's disappointing. At least I noticed by level 3 so no harm done in starting over and picking a less obnoxious power set. Thanks!
-
Are you sure you were actually getting kicked and not dropping out due to the bug with the LFG thingie? I've no idea if they fixed it or not but a lot of people were getting a semi-random "You have left your team" message and a boot from the league.
-
I prefer the "You're sad..."
I tend to think of "I" as me, the player. Being told that "I'm sad..." actually takes me out of the game because my immediate thought is "No, I'm not" or "Wait... Who's sad?". Having it narrated to me as "You're sad..." keeps the focus on the character.
Just my gut opinion from reading your two examples. -
I have my stuff set to the higher levels (ultra mode). It's not all jacked up to maximum but nothing is under normal either and most things are in the upper quality tiers.
What happens is that, when the power is active, the character itself regularly deepens in color to nearly black and then back to normal. I can't play in the creator itself to test this since it just cycles the "activating" animation over and over so I have to make changes and then come back out to test, go back in, etc. I get the same effect whether it's set to "No Fade/Pulse" or just "Custom Color".
If no one else has any idea what I'm talking about, maybe I'll try to capture it with Fraps or something. If I can't fix it, I'll just reroll into a different power set as it's visually very annoying to me. -
Meanwhile, my Earth/Storm struggles to even hit Uncommon and that only comes with extraordinary effort (being on the BAF adds team, rushing to spam AoE debuffs on everything before they're Judgmented to death anyway, etc). Despite my efforts, I'm getting Common/Leech tables as often as not.
-
Has anyone noticed if "most damaging attacks" includes holds/immobilizes/slows with a damage component? Particularly the AoE ones?
-
Made a DA character last night and, despite setting it to "No Fade/Pulse", my character definitely pulses to nearly black and then back to normal every few seconds. Tried various things at the tailor to be sure it wasn't just a settings issue but, nope, he pulses.
Working as intended? Are other people able to avoid this effect? Forgot the name of the power but it's the first one (+Res toggle). -
I used to have a Necro MM named "Liberal Conspiracy" who looked as close as I could get to Bill Clinton and had zombies named Education, Labor Unions, etc.
I think I ditched the concept fairly early on, not wanting to deal with doofs taking me seriously. -
Imperial City Auction House. Quiet, no sellers to attract groups and it's under power suppression so you won't have to deal with those terrible, terrible auras.
-
I really wish they'd give hard information on this. As is, when I get the leech prize, I can't help but wonder if it was random or if I got screwed due to poor game mechanics. A bad random roll is one thing, getting scammed because I used too many pseudo-pets is another. The whole thing leaves a sour taste.
Also, trials these days (especially the clearing phases) are a madhouse cluster as everyone rushes to be first to a group and lay out their best attacks for the credit. -
Sending a global tell will probably be more successful than sending an (in game) e-mail. A lot of people use their mail for storage and the red "mail" won't register to them as "scroll down and read that actual mail someone sent".

Blanket power suppression in Pocket D would be kind of amusing.
"Yay! No more watching jerks with fire auras.... Hey! What happened to my WALK??"
-
Quote:I'm calling it! From now on everyone RP in Bloody Bay! Ok, so it's not "co-op" but you won't have to do that silly text fighting then eitherAs to why do people RP in the D? It's actually for the same reason people form leagues there. It's a Co-Op zone that's easy to get to, and has much less lag than the War Zone. It's not ideal for all the RP that goes on there, but to interact with people on the other side, it's the best choice we have.

I got a purple as well (and a Hecatomb as well, now that I mention it) from a BAF. I have noticed the drops seem pretty anemic but I suppose that's the whole multi-group thing going on.
-
I went with Ion Judgment for my SD/WM Tank and just call it some Thor-esque magical property of his hammer. It works well for me since he started with one of the stock spikey maces and later "upgraded" to the Rularuu eyeball-hammer. I figure: Snazzy new hammer, snazzy new unlocked powers over time as he learns to use it.
I dunno what I'll do for Lore once I get there. -

Is there any real good reason to have rewards based off some sliding scale of "effort"? It seems as though it just dorks over some ATs/power sets and benefits others regardless of how many buttons you mash during the event. If someone on your league is leeching, the answer is to boot him off the league just like if someone is essentially doorsitting a task force.
As for the tables, my Earth/Storm controller was "affecting" tons of mobs in the BAF last night with AoE debuffs but not seriously hurting any of them in relation to the real AoE attacks and my rewards ranged from Uncommon to the Ten Thread Booby Prize. -
Most of my favorites are one word names. I'm also fond of names with a religious undertone even if the character isn't any sort of Zealous Holy Avenger type:
Minaret
Homily
Liturgy
Convent
I have others but I guess this isn't the "name every character you have" thread -
Quote:Start your own trial. Advertise it as an iXP/Thread/Astral Merit run. Make clear that you'll be killing Siege/NS repeatedly or leaving some portals open to farm IDF and not finishing the trial until the end of the timer. So much for the people telling me to wait and take my time because as more people unlock the slots iXP will be come less and less the focus of trial runs, and you will be seeing more and more people reporting they get less than 15%per run.
Heck, even before the Alpha slot, people would run "xp/loot" ITFs and manage to fill them up. -
I have the impression that it's supposed to create an epic sensation. "Stars and garters! We'll need THREE teams to defeat this menace!!"
I don't know how well it works vs just annoying people but I suspect you'll need less people as more folks have Incarnate Shifts and the additional powers. Out of the gate, it was more like having a six man ITF where the leader is 50 and everyone else is lvl 35. Once everyone is 50, a six man ITF ain't nothin' special. -
I had no problem getting a Lambda last night on Virtue. In fact, we were competing with another Lambda recruiting in RWZ-X at the same time.
Have you tried starting one yourself?
