yeah, i guess you can partake in the 20v2 gangbangs that are zone pvp in freedom 90% of the time. an AR/Dark could do that. But sincerely, it's far more fun to pew pew people in other games if you dont have the loot already.
Hasten and slotting attacks with a recharge can aid in speeding up an attack chain.
20vs2 happens regardless of ones budget.
Getting loot in this game is easier than most games Ive ever played....by a large margin.
You have to actually try to be poor in this game. Money is easy to come by.
Mac, I will very respectfully disagree, which I hate, because i normally do agree with you and respect your game knowledge greatly. But.....but...but....getting your accolades, Tacitcs, 2-3 KB I/O's(which by no stretch breaks the bank red or blue side), acrobatics, and teaming will take care of many, if not all, of the KB/mez/perception problems you might experience with many zone players.Quote:Originally Posted by macskull

I've played plenty of SO'd toons in zones and had fun with them before I/O'ing them. Was I elite? No sir, I wasn't....not even close. But i was able to get kills, escape, and contribute. Performance indeed went up once slotted out with I/O's, but I was more than capable of functioning in a zone without a billion dollar build.
Also, all of the above can and does happen even with a billion dollar build, just not as often. While i know a toon will never perform with SO's like it can with I/O sets/bonuses, I still feel like you can have fun and contribute if you have a little skill on the respective toon your playing and play smarter than the average bear. It's always better to be a have than a have not, but for me, not having a billion dollar baby does not mean I will not contribute and not enjoy my experience. -

Hi Mac. Thanks for the perspective. I prolly won't sell it, as I don't really need the money and have an extra one on this toon anyways. Compared to some of the enhancements out there, this ones actually somewhat affordable.....(but not really I guess huh, lol).
I market them now and then so most of the ones I have in base or on other toons were acquired via o.p.m. anyways.
So your response brings up another question for me. Based on the chance 10 second ticks in Hotfeet you spoke of, would that mean I would net benefit enough from procs in hotfeet to bother with one let alone loading it up with procs? Hmm...
I was considering 5 oblits w/proc and the scirrocco CFL proc as 6th slot. Now it doesnt sound as appealing lol.

I have two of these and am about to slot one of them in my fire/psi dom's farm build. Would I better off placing it in hotfeet or in psychic shockwave? Where will this enhancement yield me the better results and why?

Zone is easy and needs no money/loot to enjoy it.

Because of Super Speed, mostly, and that's pretty much why a majority of heroes and villians have super speed. Not because they want it, but because they need it competitively. -
Hi all, looking to make a new farmer for AE tickets. I have several farm toons already, but looking for a new one.
Im considering a elec/shield scrapper or an elec/shield brute.....
What is going the be the better farmer for tickets and why? The scrapper or the brute? I have next to 0 experience with the sets, so looking for experienced info.
Previous farm toons I've got are pretty standard flavors. Fire/kin toller, ss/fire brute, ss/stone brute, fire/psi dom, spines/fire scrapper.
Also how would the elec/shield compare to the previous farm toons Ive got/used, as far as speed killing?

Best bet for better pvp advice is in the pvp forums. Some sharp folks in that forum and can really help you make something competetive....which as we all know=more fun. ymmv.

I think overall, I would like a spines/regen. What I currently "have" is a 50 em/regen and a 50 spines/nin. I prefer the spines/nin and no longer enjoy my em/regen. Still considering deleting the em/regen and re-rolling to the spines/regen.

This seems a joke to me. I have a MM and know how it can be awkward to get kills in a more...."traditional manner".....that's why I don't try to get them that way.
The MM is "kinda" like a Tank and has no business being able to run everything down. You have great survivability as a MM. Yes there are a few tactics people can use to easily defeat you, but isn't that true with most AT's and powerset combos?
I would suggest to you, that if you want to be a more proficient killer, there are one of two things you can do.
1.) Get more clever and more efficient on the MM.
2.) Roll something else which has the ability to run folks down, even when they are at top speed. Keep in mind you'll be giving up the MM's toughness & survivability in trade for, "that" which you complain about.
You are obviously partial to your MM and like his survivability. There are concessions which must be made for that kind of survivability, and of course for balance sake.
I can appreciate the "desire" behind the complaint because, as stated, I have a MM, But what you are hoping/asking for.......will prolly not happen....ever....because it's not needed in order for a MM to kill efficiently or balance them in any way. -
Ahh I see, and understand, np. Was kinda looking for a simpler way to look up not only what team I was drafted to, if any, but also a way to look up friends to see where and if they had been drafted and such.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll get to sifting through to find if ive been drafted and where some of my globals are at among rosters.
