I suppose it's a bit late now to still suggest anything... But I had a tech/magic character named EnigmaTech for a while. It's almost a pun though; at the very least it's a play on enigmatic.
Anyway, glad to head that you found a name that you like, Sam. I know how important that is. -

I *think* I can make it then. I'd like to take another shot at this. I'd be bringing Becca Blue again.

Quote:Thanks for that. Great reference.Wrong rebuttal, Ten.
Here, let me try -
Quote:And this is the same reason we can't have multiple patterns and a tertiary color. I do wonder how much of a technical hurdle this is though. Not Feasible at this time due to technical limitations:
- Having skin with 2 other color options, you get 2 colors max and skin will take one of them.
In UDK (which I realize is not what CoH uses) to get a third color involved with a second pattern, it's super easy to set up.
What we have now is the equivalent of this:
Blue is the primary color, White is the secondary color, and the texture sample stripe there is our pattern.
So what I want to see is the equivalent of this:
Here we have the same base setup. We just duplicate a bit of what's going on and we end up with a tertiary color of red and the circle is our second pattern. (To make this all work with Tops with Skin, the mask/skin texture choice would go in where the circle is so that the pattern would show up only on the "tights" (aka bodypaint) part and not on the skin).
Now, I know that CoH is probably completely different from UDK, but this was the best way to show what I want to see in CoH. I'd love to actually get a chance to see how CoH's materials are set up and get my hands dirty with it. I'm willing to bet I could figure out a way to make this work. -
I suggested this (in-game) during the beta where they turned vet badges into emails. Synapse (I think) said it was a good idea and that I should post on the boards. I did, and nothing ever came of it. I think it's probably a weird system to get the account and character items into the email UI and trying to adjust it all might be too much for the current code to handle.

Quote:Nah, I think that's me. Maybe my stepbrother.
An 80s rat tail hair style would be amazing as well. (Yes, I'm serious. No, I'm not holding my breath.)
I got the image above from Google, and I'm kinda wondering if that kid in the picture might actually be me...
Back on topic... Well, I don't really have any requests pertaining to wanting new costumes. But while I'm in Dink's thread... I want to work for Paragon. I applied for the character artist position for the new game. So Dink, if you wouldn't mind, take a look at my work (ediblepoly.com) and let me know what you think. -
Quote:Read that and the first thought that came to my head was "He must live in PA." and then I looked at your location. Kinda sad, isn't it?- My hometown reminds me of Kings' row a little too much. Yeah, they're steel mills, not garment works.... and the nearly skeletal clockwork are replaced by almost-as-scrawny meth addicts, but other than that...
I made sure I read every history marker I came across while living in Pittsburgh. -
Just for completeness' sake. What F10 is bound to by default includes the "/say" command. /say puts your text into whatever channel you have selected at the time (as has been said, but they didn't say the command).

Quote:Like I said a little bit up... Don't use AE for crafting if you want badge credit or if you're crafting the Lost Curing Wand. Otherwise, yup, helpful.Uh... huh. What about say... a character doing the Faultline, Hallows, or Striga Island missions? This is going to save me a lot of time! Thanks to the /Auctionhouse and /Vault commands, I don't really need to visit those anymore... a crafting table with easy access was al that I was missing.
-
Good tip. BUT, you get no badge credit when doing it this way. Also DO NOT CRAFT THE LOST CURING WAND this way. Since everything in AE only counts for AE, anything you craft won't count for anything in the proper game.
As for a random tip/trick that I just found out about recently... You don't have to select a character and then hit the "enter game" button... You can just double-click on the character you want and it'll load up. Saves a second or two for when you really want to get into the game fast. -
Quote:I'd wager that the same thing happened to you as I then. Your GM probably just zapped the baddy that got stuck or something to trigger the ambushes to continue. The rest of your description is as the mission is intended to go down.Wow! I have no idea if that or something similar was the problem this time. The mission just seemed to get stuck in a loop with the beam firing off every couple of minutes and no waves of Rularuu. I did petition and eventually a GM showed up, looked at the issue for a while, and then suddenly spawns started coming and the cycle resolved. Then the mission ended itself and I got booted. I saw the "Mission Complete" message, but I didn't have a chance to click on the exit button.
I was able to finish the arc though. I was running it heroside but I have to say that teaming with Recluse was pretty awesome. -
I had to sit through a couple dozen when I did it one time. One of the Natterlings got stuck under the front of the ship. I explored the whole map trying to find him (aka hitting tab wildly while looking in every direction) but never found him. Ended up calling in a GM to help me, and then looked like an idiot when he ported me to the front of the ship in the water. Tab didn't catch him since I was Super Jumping around and the angle meant he was behind the front of the ship.

Quote:You can change an uncommon into a rare. I am not sure about other grades. I had an uncommon from Efficacy Adapter and selected the "within same enhancement type" (or whatever) and converted it into a rare from Performance Shifter.Conversion always stays in the "quality" of enhancement. Uncommon becomes uncommon, rare to rare, purple to purple, with the exception of pvp IO's which are considered their own "quality" so will always be pvp to pvp.
To be clear, there are three methods of converting. Within the set (e.g. Miracle end/rech -> Miracle +Recovery); within the rarity (e.g. Cleaving Blow ram/rech -> Steadfast Protection Resistance/+Def); or within the type (e.g. Doctored Wounds Heal/Rech -> Numina's Convalescence +Regen/+Rec). -
Quote:Salvage was actually added in issue 6 for bases and was originally designed to only be used in that specific system. The Invention system was added in issue 9.Enhancements and salvage work differently on the back-end. You have to remember, salvage was added to the game when inventions and the auction house were implemented (what was that, issue 7 or so?) , and was only ever designed to be a part of those specific systems
-
It was issue 7 iirc (maybe 8, but it was after I started playing and I started a month before i6 and I know it wasn't i6). Their rational behind it was to give Tankers a fuller attack chain earlier on.

Others have already covered the rest of this (that is, there's no reward table), so I'll touch on the part I bolded. If you're breaking out the Malta leaders every time you run through Max's "arc for Gabriel, you're wasting time. As long as you've run Max's other missions once, whenever you run the final mission via Ouro Gyrfalcon will show up as an ally and the others will do their thing behind the scenes as well. There's no need to actually run the lead-up missions after you've already done them once.

Sounds like a great idea. I'd use it. I saw that someone else is working on an iOS server status app. They mentioned that they would have notifications that show up when the servers go down/up and I think that is a must if you're doing server status. Also, need to make sure to have a "servers I care about" list so I, a Guardian player, don't get notified when Victory is up or whatever. I think they're all in the same location now so not likely to go down/up at different times, but it has happened.
Also, I'll gladly help you with testing. -
Judgement powers also ignore the damage debuff from a Rage crash (just like the Vet powers; i.e. Blackwand, Nemesis Staff, Sands of Mu, and Ghost Slaying Axe). I tend to just use my Judgement when Rage crashes if it's during a fight.

This matters not. http://drmcninja.com/archives/comic/3p45/ The last two panels. Looks like that type of mustache too.
Also, great art, Baller. -
Quote:Me too. The other map was *neat*, but this one was just awesome, and fun to navigate.

Quote:Buh... That... Uh... No... I... Why???It also thinks this is okay, which makes me cringe whenever I see it.
