Who says he isn't a jerk on Primal Earth? All signs point to him being a jerk here too. Read back through the thread fora few instances.
  2. As for me, I finally got screenshots of soloing AVs with no temps or insps.

First to go down was Shadowhunter. He defeated me my first go at it, and the second fight ended up being pretty close (he had me down to 142 hp at one point).

Next was Chimera. Pretty easy in comparison.

Third to go down was Battle Maiden.

And the last one of the bunch was Mother Mayhem. Had the opportunity to try and fight Malaise as an AV in between, but I tried that once before and it didn't go so well since his attacks aren't positional.

That brings me up to 6 AVs soloed with no temps and no insps, and 21 total with just a couple insps.

So what did everyone else do while the forums were down?

You *must* have a nice formal outfit for when you do guard duty at the RWZ Rikti peace conference. If you don't, you're an uncouth hooligan (and villains, that's a *bad* thing).

    [/ QUOTE ]

I wish they'd actually recognize that you had a formal costume on in that though. I put on my most formal outfit on my PB when I did it, and I still got yelled at for dressing down. I looked more formal than any of the NPCs!!!

    Reg vs SD

From what I hear, defense is a bit borked in PvP right now. So I'd guess that you'd be better of with Regen.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No, the default binding for printscreen is to take a screenshot. Would you like to see the thousands of screenshots that I have taken using printscreen in the past? I've got a few I've even taken on the same character that I soloed the AVs with. So I know that the default bind was in place. There should be no reason for it to have not worked.

Very nice, unfortunately, with current prices, it's far too expensive. I'll just have to keep it for when I can afford it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, I didn't realize how expensive the Kinetic Combats are. On my Inv/SS I ended up going with the Smashing Haymakers for now too. A lot of the other pieces of it aren't too expensive though. I managed to get a full set of Performance Shifters for under 10 mil, including insane salvage prices. And yeah, some of the stuff is more of a "some day" kinda thing. Anyway, good luck to you and happy tanking.

    Screenshot fail

Yeah, I turned on the /screenshotui 1 first, and then hit printscreen a bunch of times during the fights. And then afterwards, there were no new images in my screenshot folder. No clue why.

So you know, sure's is not a proper conjunction. The words sure and as should never be combined in such a way. Your sentence should read, "I sure as hell hope not."

Well, it really isn't a proper conjunction then, nor is any other contraction for that matter. And who gives a rat's [censored] about "proper" contractions anyway? This isn't a formal setting.

    Screenshot fail

Well, I finally remembered to hit the print screen key while fighting some AVs so that I could officially join the club... And the screenshots didn't show up in my folder.

Anyway, just soloed Hro'dtohz and Nemesis with no insps and no temps on my Fire/Shield. I didn't fight them together, although I probably could have. They're the first ones I've faced since getting all my accolades, so now it's time for me to go back and see if I can beat the other 10 that I've beat using a few greens without using any insps. Wish me luck.

  16. Handclap is just Footstomp's retarded cousin. It's ok to take it when you're a young hero and can't handle yourself, but it knocks the foes away, and that's just annoying since then you're going to be doing less damage because AAO just lost a few targets for a few seconds. Once you're leveled, you'll have Footstomp and Shield Charge; those will be enough as far as AoE goes once you get them slotted. A hint in case you weren't aware, don't use Shield Charge to actually charge. Run into the spawn and let AAO boost your damage up first, then activate Shield Charge and click right at your feet.
  17. Hurdle itself is a viable travel power as long as you have some backup (for getting to higher places than 18 feet). Don't 3-slot Quickness with run IOs though. That would only get you up to 35 mph run speed, and that's with sprint with an IO in it too. 3-slotted Hurdle, however, will put you at almost the exact same speed as unslotted Super Jump, which is 51 mph.
  18. Played around with your build. First the bad news, I lost you .4$ s/l resists since you were at the cap. I also lost you a little under 30% regen (although, you could just toss a Regen Tissue unique into Health and your regen/max hp numbers would be closer to what they were) and your Energy/Negative defense went down by .1 and E/N resists dropped by 3...

Now for the good news. With one mob in range, you'll have soft-capped S/L/F/C resists. The .1 loss to the E/N defense doesn't make a difference, you'll still need just the 4 to soft-cap those. Also, got you 8% better Recovery, lowered your toggles' EPS by .01 and increased your max end by 2ish. I managed to increase your global recharge bonus by 2.5%, and that's with one less LotG than you had in the build.

I took FA out of the build and threw in Resist Elements since it's your slow effect resist and could be helpful. There's probably more that could be done, but this looks good for now.

    More Recharge!

I've been working on a Spines/SR of my own recently. The build I've got planned for him has 1.3% less recharge than your initial build (which still will give him permahasten), but it has space in Health to put all 3 Healing Set Uniques (rather than having it full of Doctored Wounds), and has soft-capped defenses (since I eschewed Elude, Torrent, and a real Travel Power in favor of the Fighting pool). Like I said, he doesn't have a real travel power, but I had a couple "free" slots (that I should probably actually put in Tough if I ever plan to run it), so I put those in Hurdle and my Jump Speed is equal to unslotted SJ. Might not be your thing, but *shrug* have a look.

    Where is it?

Sort of on topic: Having Burke and Kalinda give the cape and aura missions is "unfair" and shows that the devs really hate heroes. Heroes have to go and personally talk to the City Rep, whereas villains can just call their first contact, provided that they did enough of the starting missions to get that option. Doesn't actually bother me, just pointing it out. Although, it would be nice if heroes could get a way to call the City Rep, even if it was only after doing the cape mission.

    [ QUOTE ]
Another great way to check out IO sets is through Mids itself. You'll be a little less overwhelmed by all of the sets out there because Mids narrows it down to only the sets you can place into whatever powers you are looking at.

Mid's also has the "Set Bonus Finder" under "Windows" on the file menu. If you're looking for specific bonuses that you want, it's quite handy.

    Scrapper /shield

As for the greying out, hit the button to the right of the name/AT/origin bit that says "View Totals", it'll pop up a window and not mess with the display. As for how builds hit the 45% defense softcap, it's mostly taking defensive powers and slotting with IO sets that grant bonuses to defense; try clicking the button to the left of "View Totals" called "View Active Sets" to see what kind of bonuses they're getting from IO sets.
