It's clearly Electra.
And as for me. It's mostly in shadow and also quite a few years old, but the little picture under my name over on the left there. That's me. And if ya want a better and more recent look at me, then search me out on facebook. Pretty sure I'm still the only Ian F Evans, even though there's over 500 Ian Evanses. Which is why I added my middle initial. Anyway, if you find one that has a profile picture of a pixel art face about to eat an icon from 3ds Max's editable poly modifer(aka a red cube) on a light blue background, then you've found me. Have fun facebook stalking me. Or become friends with me. Whatever floats your boat. But no tickling of your pickles.
Also. I'm not sure if the Vampirella comment was a joke, but my Electra comment was.
Also, I'm not exactly well-known on the forums, so half of you might be scratching your head wondering who the heck I am.
edit: Also, if you decide to try to figure out who I am by clicking on that Drawrings link in my sig, you'll likely be saddened to see that my DA page hasn't been updated in quite some time and has next to nothing on it; so it probably won't help you figure out who I am if you don't know. I wonder if I should just switch it out to a link to my portfolio website. It'd be a better representation of my current art, although a bit less CoX related... *shrug* Maybe, but for now, I should probably stop typing since at this rate I'm going to degrade into stream-of-consciousness writing quite soon. -
I have a box full of Wizards from the early to mid 90's. My walls during middle and high school were littered with the posters from them and their poster specials. Now my walls are littered with bagged comics instead. Wizard dropping out of the picture kinda makes me want to see if I can find all my old posters in the boxes at my mother's house... I haven't bought an issue in over a decade, but it's still sad to see them go since it was a good way to broaden one's comic knowledge. *shrug* I guess that just isn't needed in these days. Strange, sad, and amazing to think about the implications of it all.

Quote:Actually, they do not have the mushroom guys. Just Herders, Granites, and Guardians; so Tree of Life, Cairn, and Quartz are the emitters spawned. They have already done that. Much to the dismay of my Def tanker, the level 50 DE now have quartz dropping Guardians (and the rest, but I don't care about them), making them one of the few groups I can't solo on X8.
Also:
To all of you out there of the furry persuasion, do whatever you want; just don't involve me in it. And please do not assume that just because my one character is a were-wolverine that I wish to discuss matters pertaining to his sexual activities. I do not. I just think wolverines are pretty bad-***. -
Quote:Along those lines, you could even go 00FF00 Arrow. Or some other hex code if you don't want to risk being genericized. lolMeta names that play on concept could be "CMYK Arrow" and "RGB Arrow." These are names of color spaces used by "color technicians" in the electronic art world. I call these "metas" because they could be used to describe a character in your exact situation; wanted to stand in the tradition of a "colored archer" but all the good ones were already taken, so he picked them all.

Well... I got zero play-time this weekend. Which was a shame.
But... I spent the entire weekend at the Pittsburgh site of the Global Game Jam where my team and I made a complete Flash Game in under 48 hours. And we tied for first place for Judge's Choice. So if you'd like to see what I was up to all weekend while I neglected all my poor characters that have been begging me to get them to 50, check it out at the Global Game Jam site: http://globalgamejam.org/2011/all-aboard
And no, I'm not begging for comments/votes/whathaveyou. If you like it do what you would normally. Just figured I'd share what I was up to this weekend, and perhaps provide a bit of enjoyment for my fellow Guardianites. -
Quote:Re-modeling: 15 minutes. In short, for it to be done things would have to be remodeled and glove options would have to be retouched to fit things properly onto the newly articulated finger models. It'd be resource intensive, there is no way around that.
Re-rigging: Would require a total rework of the skeletal hierarchy to accommodate for new animations. Lots of work.
Re-skinning: More fun with new animations, have to make sure the verts are weighted properly to make the animations look right. Lots more work
Re-unwrapping/texturing: Would have to change the layout of every glove/hand texture in the game. Considering the rate that we get new textures, this would take a long long time for the current team to put out.
It'd be a lot more resource intensive than many realize. If it was one character who didn't scale and didn't have tons of hand textures, I could see it getting done in about a month (unless they work on it at home as well as at work, in which case faster, but highly unlikely). Considering that they need to deal with the scaling and the multiple body types and the multitude of textures that would need to be completely altered, I'd expect that it'd take close to a year to get it working right. Probably a lot longer if they didn't completely neglect everything else that requires work from the modeling, animation, and texturing people. -
Quote:Confirming this. It's how I set up my alt account a couple years ago and I have them under the same master account, using the same email, and got the free playtime. The only mildly annoying thing is that I now get multiple emails every time they send one out.I set up my second account a long time ago, so the details escape me, but I believe it was as simple as that. I got a trial code from the NCSoft site online, used the same email address as my main account, and placed them both under my same NCSoft billing account. I'm pretty sure I got the free month for the referral, so it worked fine.

Quote:Similar thing happened to me recently. I was running my Tanker and doing the new stand-alone missions from Maria Jenkins. I got the mish to take out Marauder and his cell. It was the version of the mission that had IDF with him. I entered the mission and saw Marauder straight ahead. When I got closer, I saw his text pop up and he charged... the IDF nearby. I jumped up out of the way and Marauder went on to take out every IDF on the lower floor of the room, while I took out the upper floor. It got a little annoying after a while as he'd taunt each of them after defeating them, and he defeated a lot of them. I finished up the upper floor and went down and found him at 1/4 HP and halfway through his Unstoppable's duration. Ended up getting less influence from him than a minion because of how beat up he got by his own backup. (It was set to +0/x6, so that explains how he got hurt so bad, but not really why).I was going through the patron arc on my dominator, chose Mako, and when I finally get to McKnight to beat him down, he had some things to say about the missing ship and "Hey... Isn't this the same dock where Captain Mako took out Scrapyard? I got a bad feeling about this..." Then he proceeded to kill his Knives of Artemis guards.
I just figured he wanted to fight me 1 on 1. You know, honorably or something. Of course, being evil, I said 'no', and let my man-eating plant friend help me curb-stop the moron. -

same exact thing as what happens when you level up currently.
And I'm quite happy about this. I've kinda felt cheated ever since they added that feature since lately I enjoy playing my 50's more than my lowbies. It'll be nice when I get the 81 month reward in like 2 years... -
Quote:Jim Temblor's story is explained here: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Faultline_%28Ally%29Wait a second... the Arch-Villain Faultline? Isnt Jim Trebor's super hero name Faultline?During the RWZ mission arc where you join Vanguard, dont you rescue and fight along side him and Fusionette?
He's the son of the Arch-Villain.
Also, to the OP, just wait til you get the mission to go into the dam tunnels. There's ways to get to the underground on both sides of the dam, so the waypoint shows up as just underground. It's usually easier to find if you go through the dam though. That dam mission has upset its fair share of players.
edit: I shouldn't have spent so much time making a dam joke. -
Quote:They must have GG on ignore then, or it would have been miles long.notice how her hair is even LONGER in Praetoria.
Part of me suspects the Devs added an inch her hair for every time someone asked for animated hair.
As for the holster thing, I really hope they implement that and other leg accessory options eventually. I could see issues with certain animations considering how it is that you have to go about rigging things on the legs... but they've already proven to me that they don't care about that kind of stuff with Ninja Run's animation. -
I think so. What'll really help sell it is the colorization/texture, but looks like the right track now.

The Frostfire that's used in the tip missions is an entirely different entity than the one from the Hollows. He'll only ever spawn as up to a boss in tips. I think they decided to reserve the pets to his EB form.

I reread what I wrote, and I don't see any bemoaning. I simply commented that I don't get great FPS. I am fine with my normal framerate of 20ish FPS. And the high-res costume bit was just an aside. The main point of my post was that while I am fine with my normal "slow" FPS, the warehouse room decreases it to a painful level, and I'd rather not sacrifice more visually just to have better FPS in one room.

Quote:Same here. I never really used to notice them, or care about them much. But now, every time I cross the bridge to get to my car I make sure to read the plaque.CoH has actually increased my awareness of historical plaques where I live and in places I've traveled because I stop to read them when I can now.
To add my own, it would be when sitting in biology class and looking at a poster of animal cell names, I immediately thought of Hami.
Also, when walking over that bridge to get to my car, think about how much easier life would be if I could just Super Jump over the river. -
For those who haven't noticed it, try turning your FPS on when you hit the room, and then exit the room. You'll probably see it dip by a little bit when you go in, and pop back up a few frames when you exit. For many people, this may not be a problem at all; going from 60 fps to 50 fps isn't even noticeable by the average human eye. Some of us don't get FPS anywhere near that high though. My FPS hovers around 20 during normal play. I'm on the low end of Ultra Mode and have just a few settings enabled for it. Going in the new warehouse room though, I drop down to 8-12 FPS. It's quite a noticeable decrease in performance for me. I suspect it has to do with the higher resolution of the textures being used on the new props in there, but I'm not sure that could cause that much of a drop. If it is what's causing the drop in FPS, I doubt I'll even be able to play the game on this computer after they upgrade costumes to use higher resolution textures.

Personally, I've found leveling in Praetoria to be faster than I remember leveling in Primal. I rolled a mind/psi dom there the other weekend and played her solo for maybe 12 hours total that weekend and she's level 14 now. I don't think I've ever leveled that fast while solo before. All I did was run what arcs she got and didn't "waste" any time dealing with the market or buying enhancements yet.

Quote:For me, it's Stalkers. Even after they got fixed up. I just can't do it....have multiple types of every single AT at various different levels and still scrunch up my face when I look at or think about rolling a Corruptor.
...use female face 14 on all my female toons.
And I used to always use 14, I think at this point about half of my female toons are face 14. I really like some of the newer faces we got when Jay got a minion. -

Quote:I have probably two dozen rocks on my one character. Also, I almost never use temp powers, they must be saved. Even the ones that are on a real-time timer. I set them aside in an extra power tray for safekeeping... and then they go and expire on me >.<I just thought of an odd one for me. I still horde all of the temp powers I can. For some reason I can never bring myself to use the last few minutes or last charge on any power, even if they're beyond useless, like rocks. Instead I have a compulsion to have them stuck in my power list until it takes a minute or so to scroll down to the bottom of the inherent and temporary power boxes and becomes near impossible to find any specific temp power I want.

Quote:I missed that thread I guess. I hope http://posemaniacs.com/ was included. Great site. Google actually has a really awesome thing too. It's called body browser: http://bodybrowser.googlelabs.com/ Not as great for poses, but awesome for anatomy. There was a thread for what various artists around here use as reference when considering anatomy.
