Turncoat Spectral Terror?
"Deflected" means an attack missed you specifically because of the bonus defense from your shield. Various +def powers can cause different messages, depending on the intent. For example, SD powers give "deflected", because the defense is supposed to indicate the attack hits your shield rather than you. Stone Armor powers do the same thing: the attack hit, but it bounced ineffectively off the rocks you're surrounding yourself with. Other messages include "avoided" (it simply missed), "dodged" (you actively moved out of the way), and "absorbed" (your 'resistance' is so high, you didn't take any damage at all; this is used by Demonic Aura/Eye of the Magus).
Spectral Terror does have a PBAoE auto power Cloak of Fear. As to why it's hitting its allies, I can't say.

That's what I thought those were. I get the three def ones all the time.
It was the fear hitting the "allies" that messed with my head. There were DE and Longbow on the map (In the Vernon Von Grun (sp?) arc, the mission after defeating Woodsman) but at the time I was only fighting Longbow, and the Spectral definitely came from one of the Wardens.
I mean as cool as it was to having them all cowering in fear, I knew I didn't have anything going that would cause that.
I have noticed multiple missions where spawns of the Same group end up fighting each other.
Perhaps there's some bug somewhere?
What happened here? Does spectral terror cast some sort of AoE terrorize that perhaps affected the other Longbow because his Warden master was dead? That seems more likely than "Deflected" actually meaning the effect bounced of me and hit the mobs. As hot at as that would be, I've not seen that happen before.

Your behavior sounds similar to what I saw. It's also similar to cases where the effect lingers after the caster has died or zoned, and it suddenly goes red if it was blue to you efore.

There's a bug that pops up occasionally that makes patrols in missions hostile to static spawns. I've seen it a lot lately, especially in CoV missions. I am almost positive that what you saw was the result of a patrol wandering into your fight, and getting caught in the Terror's fear effect.
@Roderick
I was going through the patron arc on my dominator, chose Mako, and when I finally get to McKnight to beat him down, he had some things to say about the missing ship and "Hey... Isn't this the same dock where Captain Mako took out Scrapyard? I got a bad feeling about this..." Then he proceeded to kill his Knives of Artemis guards.
I just figured he wanted to fight me 1 on 1. You know, honorably or something. Of course, being evil, I said 'no', and let my man-eating plant friend help me curb-stop the moron.
"My inner mind has become a reality-cracking overgod. He torments me! Help!"
I've actually had a couple of times when a pet summoned by a bad guy actually turned blue and pitched in. For instance, I was soloing the last mission of the arc with the bad cops -- the one where you fight both Captain Castillo and a giant robot that shows up after you beat Castillo -- and somewhere along the line, an engineer laid a force field generator that somehow became my ally. It was outlined in blue, it followed me around, it gave me +20% def... and it did this for the rest of the mission. It boosted my FF defender way past the def soft cap, and even the elite bosses couldn't touch him.
I've also seen Rubble turn blue after spawning from defeated Bedrocks.
Weird stuff. There's a bug somewhere.
Not quite the same thing, but I have seen that if you give mobs in the AE a Confusion power and open with Jolting Chain, the chain hits the first of them, and when they confuse you in return JC comes back and hits you because it believes you are now a valid target.

Some of these other ones are pretty funny though.

Issue 16 made me feel like this.
Warning: This poster likes to play Devil's Advocate.
I noticed about a week ago in a CoT mission that some of the Spectral Terrors would turn after I hit them and attack other mobs in the area. Unless I hit them again, they would ignore me. I know that it wasn't a confuse effect because the toon I was playing doesn't have any way of confusing a mob.

hmmm... See what happens when you post after not sleeping all night? For me I type Spectral Terror in place of Spectral Daemon.

So, the strangest thing happened last night while I was running some missions. Nothing special, just big groups of longbow.
Cruising along, drop into a group and along comes an ambush following behind. A few seconds in I figure out one of the Wardens is an illusionist and out come all his pets.
Not a big deal, bashing the wardens, letting AoE take down the others, eventually things thin out and all that is left is me, a few Longbow standing around, and the Spectral Terror left over from one of the Wardens.
When suddenly I notice that the remaining Longbow are under a Terrorize effect.
That was a wtf moment, I don't have any way of causing Fear (WM/SD brute). One or two of them shake it off and start to charge
The Spectral tries to hit me again I see "deflected" over my head, and suddenly the other Longbow are Terrorized again. I smash the Terror as a test, when it dies, the Longbow are back to normal.
