  1. I blame you for not having enough booze for everyone in your avatar.
  2. I blame you for the Spongebob-Burger King square butts commercial.

    (Actually gratz, it's pretty funny)
  3. QR

Are you using the latest X-Fi drivers in addition to ALchemy?

Also it looks like a new version of ALchemy was released on March 20th. I'm downloading it now.
  4. It was cool to see the new stuff, but the acting and script....

well, it needed an outline of a guy and two robots sitting in theater seats at the bottom of the screen.

(liking I13 so far, though, keep up the good work!)
  5. Sure, what the heck....

Okay, wait, so if someone watches that movie do they get meta-Rickrolled?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well... you COULD send that link to some unsuspecting soul who would lower their guard seeing the COV beginning... but that would be just evil. >.>

You mean, like I just did to the guys and Gals in my SG's?

    Well played Leandro. Well Played.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes, yes you did. Well played, indeed. And I passed it along to the Pinnacle forums, unaware of where it came from.

Awesome job, Leandro, that was some epic win right there.
  7. Big grats to Scarlet Moon for dinging 50 with Kiasyd today!
  8. Same here, these were great! Very funny! Now one of my fave threads, I await the next misadventure of Stan & Lou!

OP: BTW, are you gonna be okay on the download bandwidth? You don't want to get smacked with a big bill later. I can see these files getting VERY popular.
  9. Good interview, glad you're back Dee, and Happy Birthday Teldon!
  10. It's all about the storyline. Without the story, a game is just Dungeon Hack.

(sigh) so I guess Cryptic's not working on a Deadlands MMO....

G'luck, shane. Ya done good here.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    I hope someone is...

that is one MMO I would actually pay to play besides this one.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That's what he hinted he was going to be working on. He's just waiting for the official press release to really talk about it.

    Ok.

Heh, sorry. A reference to the movie "Being John Malkovitch".

No worries. Then again, I was tempted to use either Boobah or the Backyadigans as a search title before posting that link.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hah! That would explain so much about some of the adventures we were put through.

Yeah, but you can't really blame Cryptic for a player's lack of creativity.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The American court system proves otherwise. Many users have sued manufacturers/providers for reasons arguably out of their control. And have won.

    [/ QUOTE ]
This from the same court system that ruled in favor of that lady for spilling hot McD's coffee on her own lap
(looks around for the rolled-eyes emoticon)

The American court system is the perfect measuring stick for the LCD (Lowest Common Denominator).

But I digress. Pets! More discussion!

The Clockwork are not actual robots; they are hunks of metal animated by the mental power of the Clockwork King.

    [/ QUOTE ]
What about all those Clockwork guarding what's-her-name's store in New Faultline? I haven't done that arc, but I'd wager the Clockwork King has nothing to do with those guys.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Penelope's Protectors? I think it said that she was a powerful psychic and 'stole' control of them.

    Few more Clockwork spoilers:

It's mentioned at least one time that the Clockwork in Cap Au Diable shouldn't be there, as the Rogue Isles are too far away from the Clockwork King for them to exist. So something else must be animating them and making them attack the PTS(i.e., Bat'zul). Makes you wonder if the CK took a Rogue Isle vacation and left some bots behind for Battie to animate.
  19. Thanks for all the great work you did on CoV, Shane. Great stuff! I look forward to your new work.

It's a shame to see no announcement, so I'll repost this from Shane Hensley's RPG company forum:

    Shane leaving Cryptic

Posted: Wed Nov 08, 2006 12:51 pm Post subject: Shane Leaving Cryptic

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Hi all!

I've been given an incredible opportunity to work on a project VERY near and dear to my heart, and will be leaving Cryptic as of tomorrow. It's a very amicable parting and I've had a GREAT time here. It's a wonderful place to work filled with great people and awesome projects.

Emails to that address will start bouncing, so please use this address if you need to get in touch. I've had it over 15 years now and won't be changing any time soon.

I'm afraid I can't share details of what I'm doing yet, but I will when I can.

    Thanks all!

Since Cryptic is already in bed with Microsoft for the Marvel game, maybe Statesman can wrest the Shadowrun license from Microsoft as well and do a Shadowrun MMO!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh lordy, don't get my hopes up, chummer. Especially since the upcoming Microsoft Shadowrun game is a FPS. That's enough to make the baby combat mage cry.

The closest I've gotten to a shadowrun on the PC was doing a Steal Data mission against Crey.
  21. My level 50 scrapper leaped OVER the tallest buildings in Talos on the way to the FF entrance with the aid of the pack, and he only has the default slot in Hurdle and SJ.

MAN, that was fun! Now I want to see what he can do in Steel Canyon. Or for that matter, how high my SJing Brute can get in Grandville.

This is a clear message that chest-mounted rocket launchers are on the way. Obvious to anyone who reads it. Why, he might as well have just said, "And yes, we're adding chest-mounted rocket launchers"!

It's also a blatant admission that the lack of a ZAPPY ARROW was a serious mistake, one that they intend to rectify.

YOU HAVE TO READ BETWEEN THE LINES, PEOPLE!

    AND STOP STARING AT ME!

What about the sharks with frickin' laser beams on their frickin' foreheads? I'm STILL waiting for them! Mako's holding out on us!

I'm looking forward to the return of the 5th Column. I was just starting to play this game when the 5th and the Council were having their insane street war event. I'm tiring of beating down generic Italian fascists. I want to put the smack on the Original Nazis!

    WTH?!?!?!? NEED... MORE.... INDIGO.... INFO!!!!

She is a former Knife of Artemis, though she was never inducted into the inner circles and thus doesn't know about the death cult at the group's core until you inform her of it. Her contact info says she's a master of stealth and intrigue; her hero info in CoV says she can read minds and see into the future. Her powersets in CoV appear to be Broadsword/SR; her psychic powers are probably gamed as SR and perhaps Leadership powers. I didn't see her using any overt Psychic Blast or Mind Control powers or such. Crimson trusts her as if she were his own daughter...but as we see in the Melvin Langley arc, not quite completely.

Her contact info says she was the first to discover Arachnos but that can't be right since Arachnos was known back in the 30s. It is probably an artifact from the earliest version of the group when it was still called SPIDER (and her info used to say "SPIDER").

    That's about it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Ah, very cool, thanks!

Now I really need to get my main levelled up higher.
