Not many hard facts to go on so that is entirely just as possible as the rest of the theories out there.
All we have was announcement to close game, something about talks, something about talks going very well even though in hindsight, guess they wasnt going that well, refund stuff, talks fell through.. that's about it and some of those are basically second or more hand talks. -
Why? It's like anything else people like or dislike.
I hate almost all anime - I didn't when I was younger though. -

It's entirely possible that they shopped the game around for the last year or so before coming to the original decision. -
Trying my hand with a partnership through socialblade, as they contacted me to tell me I get enough views a month for one, but we will see.

Just FYI Dodger has no idea about CoH.
i've been waiting for weeks for the TGS Podcast crew (Totalbiscuit, Dodger, Jesse Cox, and one of their guests from The Game Station's network) to at least even MENTION it, and the only time they did mention CoH was mentioning the Mission Architect system.
Nothing else has been said, before Dodger mentioned it today I didn't even think they knew about it at all.
At least she said SOMETHING. =/ -

Well hey thanks, that's just awesome. I've gotten requests to have more PS2 vids so I may have to do that soon but I will probably put SSA 4 in now that it is available - I actually got PMed from a dev via Youtube from their personal account thanking me for doing those for various reasons related to job hunting, believe it or not.
One of my favorite YT channel moments was getting thanked for posting a very old video by the lead singer of the band No More Kings, because he was the one that made it as he used to play CoH. -
