When the mission creator arrives, I may be able to fulfill my idea of Coralax vs Legacy chain villain arc. I mean, that bad boy practically writes itself!

An all-Corruptor team would seriously rock. There's no problem that can't be solved in this game by adding more Corruptors!
[/ QUOTE ]
Well I have always been disappointed that for various reasons I've never been able to join the start of one of yours, they always seem to go so well! -
Coralax.
Seriously, do something with them! They're in about 2 missions for pete's sake! -

A motto to live by:
Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level, and then beat you with experience.

I sometimes just walk away when words get twisted into something you didn't quite mean but must of meant because its what that person thought you meant.

I completely agree with this. There's been a number of times where I've wanted to post replies to confrontational members of this board disputin ridiculous statements or arguments they've made. Usually my inner self stops me, prevents me from feeding the trolls! "But what if no one calls him on this, he may think he's won!" I may say to myself. But of course if I respond, then I can never win. It is after all, an argument on the interwebs! There are no winners there -
Apparantly they're all out of popcorn at the concessions stand.
Serious business y'all. -
Yep. On all 3 of my villains that have gotten that high on CoV. Its the best arc in the game imo.

Westin Phipps for me is one sick twisted git. But he is also an importent reminder. I would advice everyone to do that arc and when you have done those missions it is all right to feel guilty or ashamed.
Had you not its something wrong. The story is so well written that it is baffling. So even if I have only done it once it stands out. This is evil.. this is evil pettiness in the form of one sick mind. Its almost as i can hear alot of emphesis on the "s" like a snake.
Westin Phipps is actually the closest to real evil that we get in the game.
Do the arc or do not its up to you and then feel the anger afterwards boiling towards this npc
[/ QUOTE ]
I never felt guilty or ashamed. And i feel no anger towards the NPC, is there something wrong with me? -
Well since not enough ppl seem interested to make it worthwhile, hijack away Seraph! Its a shame, cos i know all corruptor teams kick [censored] and chew gum (and they're all out of gum...). But hey! I may be tempted by a rad/rad!

Or more photos of Avatea. You know, either's good -

Actually most brutes don't stack too well with each other. They all have to get into melee and don't profit from the presence of other brutes due to the absence of group buffs etc. With certain sets you still get impressive killing speed because of overlapping AoEs, but that's basically it concerning synergies.
If I had to name the CoV AT that stacks best with others of their kind it would have to be the corruptor. A full corruptor team is a mobile zone of instant death.
The strength of the brute on the other hand is individual strength. Heck, an AT that can solo Lord Recluse (AV) is most definitely strong.
...As you may guess the above sentence relates to my brute story. Beating down Lord Recluse in an epic battle was nothing short of impressive. The surge of adrenaline was so that I thought that I, the player, was the one with the fury bar.
(And I couldn't stop laughing after seeing the reward of 321140 xp on level 46. Never seen the xp bar make such a jump after the twenties.)
[/ QUOTE ]
You managed to solo the AV version of Recluse with a Brute? That's impressive! How did you do enough damage to overcome the regen? What sets are you? -
Attempting to drag this topic kicking and screaming back on topic:
I've said it before in other threads, but this is one of the few arcs that actually makes playing a villain on CoV actually feel like its a villain, a stone cold evil killer type villain, as opposed to the bland thug-for-hire type arcs that seem to populate the rest of CoV (which is not to mention the times we have to save the world, far too frequent for my liking). It needs more of this type of arc.
Yeah what happens in the arcs is wrong...very wrong! But that is in part fun, to feel so evil! Of course its all make believe, its no different to an actor who enjoys playing a baddy in films/tv. Its good to be bad every now and then! -
He has stated that they cause problems and especially with regard to high level pvp. If he were to create the Hero ancilliary pools (which i don't believe that he did - correct me if i'm worng) he wouldn't include such powers. Too overpowered.
I can't find the quote as this was said some months ago. But I remember him saying it, although not in the words that Praf used!
Edit: Didn't he post it in a thread about PvP inbalances? -
Yeah, he's been at 36 for about a year and a half...
Might just take the plunge, respec him and see if i can get him any further. Whats the worst that can happen!? -
Damn you Positron

surely you mean tidbits?

...shush
It's been a long week! -
Although, as I posted above, the haiku seems to be about respecing patrons, I'm confused about the 3 line "Lets you pick from all". Now, we already can pick our patron from all the patrons, so I'm unclear as to what he means by this. Of course I may be reading far too much into a haiku thought up in 30secs to tease the community with titbits of info! ... I probably am aren't I?

Best arc in villains, need more like it in my opinion.
-
I think the US poster ArcticFahx is probably right: [ QUOTE ]
Issue 13 hint already?
And if I'm reading that right.... Lupin will let you change patrons? Since that's the only villain-only locked-in choice I can think of.....
[/ QUOTE ]
I would agree that Arbiter Lupin will be allowing us to change our patrons, a currently "locked-in" choice. -
With the success of Echo's famous superteams, I thought I would (edit: shamelessly) jump on the bandwagon while the iron is hot, as it were, and see if there was interest for another one. And what could be better than an all corruptor team I ask you!? I guess winning the lottery would be nice...or marrying Jessica Alba...but an all corruptor team has got to be pretty high up there!
At the moment I'm just gauging levels of interest before I think about when and where (although I was thinking weekends at some point since weekday evenings are less reliable for me). I'm aware that there are a lot of these sort of teams around so if no one can be bothered, that's fine by me! I'll just have to try and drag my sg back online from WoW to get us to finish our paused 6man team.
Anyway let me know if you are interested or not.
Cheers! -
Hi all,
I've never gotten on terribly with blasters if I'm honest, but the /mm secondary has me tempted to try it all again. Problem is, i can't decide on a primary that fits with it. So what I'm asking is what primary synergises (real word?) best with mental?
I was thinking probably ice for the controls but how does ice do in teams? -

Indeed, and the "leftovers" temp power vet seems to have had very little thought. -
Altough it was a nerf to all versions of TF, i can see them justifying this change to blasters (who suffer most from the lack of ability to inst-stun bosses) by arguing that it helps bring the set more in line with the mezzing potential offered by other blaster secondaries. Obviously the dev's reasons are their own, but this is what first came to my head when i saw the change.
Edit: I think a nice balance would be to shorten the animation for stun. That would mean that you could still stun bosses with TF if you followed it up quickly with stun. This would keep it inline with other sets and allow survivability. -
[ QUOTE ]
WSs involve even more flicking between forms than PBs.
I would just drop the nova form on your PB. With a good build you can do fair damage in human form.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ah really? Maybe I won't try WS then. I had actually thought of going human and dwarf bi-form, but my pb is (stuck at) 36 so i don't think i'd ave enough slots to adequately enhance the later attacks and dwarf form as well? This is going offtopic and i apologise. -
The fact that these powers dont pass over to forms is one of the major reasons i dont play khelds any more. It just becomes too frustrating when, I cant really do any dmg in human form, can get too easy mezzed in nova form, and cant tank effectively in dwarf! I understand that each form is supposed to have a weakness to encourage you to be in the right form at the right time, but the constant changing does my head in. It makes it so much worse that the animation changing into nova/dwarf takes so long. I've had times when i've dropped out of nova to heal and by the time i'm ready to do some dmg again, i've taken all the dmg that i just healed away again!
So my vote for a slight improvement to Khelds would be to allow some pool powers in forms and quicken up the form changing animation. That said, i would emphasise that if khelds are looked at, they must be balanced around non IOd builds. Thankfully from what I've seen of the devs they probably will. If that can be done effectively, i may even play my PB again! (actually this thread has made me think, maybe being a WS would be more for me?)
