  1. Talking is a good thing, even talk about farming

I'd like to see the Devs talking about farming as well. In fact I would like to see the Devs give a Dev's Choice to a farm. If a Dev came out and said, "This here mission here, is absolutely the best fire farm ever. Don't bother creating your own, just use this one." then we might see a lot less of the useless things cluttering up the AE.
  2. I always refer to it as DfB.

    People then ask, "What?"

So I reply, "Death from Below."

    People then ask, "What?"

And I say "The low level Sewer trial"

I am just waiting for someone ask, "There's a high level Sewer Trial?"

If they do I will probably reply, "No!"

    Can I cry now?

Really? I think the Elite Boss/Arch Villain mechanic is one of the best things the Devs have ever done!

However apart from that I agree with everything you said

  5. I bought this EU Deluxe Version last week. They have one copy left. It was delivered to me in good time. But I live in the UK, don't know if they deliver overseas but don't see why not.

Although I live in the UK I started in closed Beta so I have a NA account but I don't believe there is any difference now. However having said that the EU Deluxe version is designed to be used to start a new account and unlike the old Good vs Evil packages you cannot add this to an existing account you can only use it to create new one. I contacted support and they were kind enough to upgrade my account for me, although I had to supply them with my original account serial codes. I was amazed I still had them Time to do some house clearing I think

I was after Power Slide rather than the VIP badge, but that came with it. Can't find the cape of the four winds in the character creator though.

Remove the 1-5 star rating system and change to a "Like" only system, no "Dislike" option.

Require a story to be completed before it can be rated.

Create a category for Farms that allows them all to be grouped together so that people that we can all easily separate stories from farms.

    OR

The Devs have in the past said that people should not create farms. If people should not be creating farms they need to start enforcing the rule. This requires an Summer Intern or equivalent to start playing through likely arcs and warning/banning authors.

I am most in favour of the first option.
  7. As a fan of that other show I wasn't sure whether to laugh or be slightly annoyed.

    This line:

"A Spin-Off series, Peacemist: Nicer Post, began airing in 2005. It stars Captain James Haggard and is significantly more family friendly than the current Inspector Spacetime."

pushed me over into the laugh side.

In truth we play at different times of the day so it won't be a problem until he becomes a night-time-lurking teenager
  9. My son (who uses my account to play ) has invited all his friends to start F2P accounts. I tried to explain to him about the chat limitations and his response was:

Pft! Dad we just use Skype.
  10. The Build a Base Bundle Challenge

Just for e's and whizz (I am not expecting any base love any time soon) build a Base Pack Bundle that you would buy and you think the Dev's might actually make. So the trick would be to find the magic middle ground between something good enough to make enough people want it and easy enough to make it worth the development time. So anything totally new that takes lots of development is ruled out.

I think thats easier said than done, the three things I would definitely pay for all have "issues". Recipe storage could impact their market sales. And a market or AE interface has technical issues loading all those resources into a new instance.

Having said that I could see something like:

Super Group Recipe Storage: 800 Paragon Points:
Grants you access to device that can be connected to your base computer which grants storage of recipes. Requires control and power.

Super Group Social Items Bundle: 400 Paragon Points:
Purely decorative items from places like Pocket D and the Easter Egg room in Faultline i.e. bar pieces, pool table, darts board. Maybe some basketball and football pieces to encourage the sale of the sports emotes?

What would tempt you to part with some Paragon Points?

In fact that kind of requires the travel power selection at level 4, and characters who haven't taken that will be at a disadvantage, wasting quite a bit of time for this mission, and possibly dying as they try to navigate Kings Row.
I do the early Kingsrow missions without a travel power. Although they are available at 4 I find I am not picking them up until later. Plus Twinshot doesn't make you do much in the zone. I think the risk is minimal to zero in all honesty

I would also add that not that long ago doing the zone without a travel power was your only option.

My advice? Don't. If you ever liked the Starfire character just take our word and avoid it.

I have cancelled all my DC pick ups and if my son was into comics at all I would ban him from buying them. I wish I also had a daughter so I could ban her from buying them as well

Totally agree. They have some fun aspects, I actually like the story and the character development, but the missions themselves fail as tutorials for a variety of reasons. Chief of which is that they come far too late.

The GR site has section on Incarnates but it does not say they are included and any mention of incarnates is noticeably absent from the product overview. Also the Issue 19 also has a description of Incarnate stuff, however this time it is listed in the contents.

    Its not, its really not.

I can think of one of two occasions where running a duo is harder than running solo. But running team content is a lot easier.

And unfortunately for you that one line is all your argument contains, so calling it an "argument" is stretching the point somewhat. However on the other side we have the product descriptions of Going Rouge, Issue 19 and Issue 20 and the globally accepted use of the word "prerequisite".

No it wasn't. The first part of the Incarnate system was part of Issue 19. The rest came with Issue 20. This is undeniable.

  21. Is it worth slotting Freebird (for Regen) and Winter-whatsit (for Slow protection)?

I'd guess 2 slots of Freebird in Afterburner and the two Winter-whatsits in Fly.

I ask as I currently have the enhancements
  22. I doubt anyone has been able to test but I would be surprised if its changed. They now sell 1 month Invention passes and 1 month market passes, so I guess those are what you would be looking at.
  23. They should all still be there. As far as I know, no characters have been deleted. If you explore underneath your /City of Heroes directory I believe they create a file now that lists all your characters and the servers they are on.

So you should see them all, they will initially be greyed out though, at least until you unlock your two free slots.

  25. I agree Null the Gull is not an adequate solution. I would be surprised if most players knew what Null the Gull was and could do. Even if you limited your selection to just iTrial players, I bet most would not know.
