Not if you answer their question first. I've answered questions like these and then said "in this game its referred to as X". No one gets upset by that because they know its easier to get the right info if you use the right terminology plus no one wants to sound like a noob

Capt is super serious and rather conservative, of course he is going to be rubbed up the wrong why by Tony Stark. This is all good imo

I like the way we see Steve Rogers wearing old man clothes, this points to them thinking about the little things.

Frikkin love Captain Invincible. And its NOT a musical. Thats what makes the musical scene with Christopher Lee so mind bendingly brilliant

In Thor The Movie he gradually moves from just wanting to sabotage Thor's big day to being truely evil as he comes to terms with the secrets of his origins. Even at the end he wanted the approval of his "father". I suspect in this movie he will have moved on to truely bitter and twisted. In that regard it will be much like the mythology.

I liked the fact that Captain American is wearing old mans clothes and that Tony is being and arrogant shite.

The more I find out about this movie the happier I am

I really want to see the Red Skull involved as well. In the Capt America movie it looked to me like he was transported rather than destroyed. However if that was the case I suspect we would have seen him in the trailers by now. Oh well, you can't have everything.

I'm with you! Well, not in the same cubical, that would be weird.

I have such high expectations for this movie if it doesn't disappoint I might very well explode!

ps: Props for the avatar. Love that book.
  8. No idea why those X-movies get consistently higher ratings than they deserve.

Also Spiderman 3, while bad, is still in a different and better league than anything touched by Joel Schumacher except The Lost Boys.

    You are wrong.

Except of course that your post is also supporting evidence that people that come for farms don't stay for stories.

    Thank you.

No, you just posted that earlier. Not the same thing.

Personally I find it highly unlikely that the number of farmers playing story arcs is greater than the number of people driven out by the deluge of carbon copy farm missions.

No dedicated discussion of games outside of City of Heroes, and limited discussion of other NCsoft games.

What does "dedicated discussion" mean? This means that threads created specifically for discussing another game are prohibited; e.g., "New Game X comes out this fall," "General MMO/RTS/FPS/insert genre here thread," "How do I beat the boss in X game," etc. Dedicated discussion also includes lengthy discussions of another game in unrelated threads.

Other games can be mentioned in passing provided they are not competing products. In addition, comparing/constrasting any game(s) with City of Heroes is prohibited.

Basically the rule has been modified to allow players to mention other games, so long as they do not discuss them. So you can make a reference to game X, or say you're playing game Y, as long as you don't go into lengthy discussion and/or create a thread specifically about it.

    Hope that clears everything up!
Just want to say, very respectfully, that I think this is a very bad/foolish decision.

Its very good in my opinion.

Has a bunch of largely unlikeable characters that are strangely likeable

It also does a fairly decent time travel story arc. Which is worth mentioning because time travel story arcs are usually pancake.
  16. Two words: General Aarons

$Diety I hate that guy. Trying to rescue him with a melee character is a nightmare.

Melee: Okay General, you are free lets go!

General: No. We have to clear out the base of Nemesis personnel.

Melee: I'll escort you out of here and come back and clear the building.

General: No, I am a General With A Gun! I will follow you around at close quarters.

Melee: But General, those robots blow up when I punch them. The explosions will kill you.

General: I am a General With A Gun! I will follow you around at close quarters.

    Melee: *facepalm*

The Doctor Who home page currently has a lot of pages dedicated to the Brigadier.

I liked his mirror world version

However, they can sue if someone violates the trademark they have on their specific version of Thor.

Their version is characterized as a blond man with long hair who wears a winged helmet and red cape. He also speaks in heraldic English. That version of him is unlike any other version of Thor I've ever run across (he is usually depicted as a large red-haired man with a beard who wears more traditional Viking clothing), which makes their version of him unique enough to trademark.

The name Thor is blocked because there is a specific version of him trademarked by a company who deals in a similar medium (superhero stories). And you can bet that if it weren't, someone would have ripped off Marvel's version of him. I've seen numerous examples of people trying to get around the block, probably due to the very recently released movie.
I always thought that if I were making a super hero game I would use Thor as a training aid, like a first training character. That would mean there would be a version of Thor in the game that you could ensure fit your IP and would give you an opportunity to explain a bit about trade marks and why making a character with claws called "Snikt!" is not allowed

    No its not.

Having to add IMO to your post in a forum is quite frankly redundant. Perhaps "IMO" should be forced into everyone's signature?

Actually I suspect (and hope) that they are just using old accounts rather than starting new ones and that hopefully once these get banned they will lose access to broadcasts.
