I think he means alot of tier 9 stalker attacks are described to have a chance to crit (15%) even in plain sight. Midnight Grasp doesn't have that in the power description, hence

Ok, point taken on Spines/DA, i totaly forgot i used to ahve one upto SO range and it really does lovely AoE.
Villian based they have more sets to use, where fiery armor with Mu mastery is best bet although i'm very unknown in missions and such in high lvl villians.
Anyway, as False say, its about blaster AT and not about best farm AT's
Fire/fire or elec/fire are best bet on AoE.

Elec Melee/ Fire Aura / Mu mastery
Gives you a nuke as well as imob and burn.
Am not a farmer at heart so I cant say which villain missions would be good for it. I know at level 40 there was a lovely Nem one on the Dreck map that had me grinning as I cleared it but am not sure if you get something simular in the 45-50 range. I tended to ghost with MM and my Fire/DA was a bit of a blur. Half the time I didn't look at what mobs I was fighting, just my blue bar and my insp tray

Hi Donna, think we have teamed a couple of times. Currently lvling a Rad defender too although I must say I find it quite easy to get a decent sized team.
What I do is check SG members, global friends, then go to search option if none are remotely in my lvl range.

Considering that Scrapper guide was made before Inventions existed is an unfair study. Since I9, SR and INV to a point have benefited alot more to inventions than other scrapper sets.
SRs can achieve near 'elude' levels of defence (and thats without the need of DA/parry) and have near non existent elude downtimes when its ever needed.
And now INV has perma DP and can achieve 20-30% res to psi to fill that hole.
So to have a view of SR in particular of being surprisingly weak is outdated in my opinion. -

It depends What you want to use the power for. Damage or for its -recharge.

I would personally go the -rech route but thats because i can stack it with lingering radiation -

After reading Maelwys post, I checked Hero Designer and you can make quite a good sonic/sonic offender by not taking any of the ally shields, worth the try, I guess I am rolling up one as soon as servers are up again.
Sonic Dispersion + temp inv gives 70% lethal/smashing dmgres plus mez protection, interesting indeed.

Ok, so I got 2 more levels last night, thats me at 28, I went for Hasten and OMG the differnce in great, If I hit AM+Hasten my 3 attacks are up almost right after each other, and the way the animations work, u can hit Will Dom, Men Blast then Telekinetic Blast and they all hit at more or less the same time, Very nice.
Been working out how to get the most from my damage output, it will never really be burst dng like a blaster, but what blaster has my defence? =D
So...
AM = 25% dmg ( i think )
Assault = 18.75 dmg ( ish )
Enervatingfield = -70% Res, ( means +70% dmg )
3 Dmg SO = 95% dmg ( ish )
Hasten = increased DPS
What else would give me more dmg? Trying to squeeze every last bit. lol

the -70% res figure is a bug on mids. Its actually -40% res in PvP and -30% in PvE -
I never said they 'had' burst damage if you read what I wrote.
Also remember the 3 best psi attacks for pvp are quick activating all under 1.6sec and have a pretty good rechar (great with hasten+AM) so 5ish attacks dont take long to chain up

Defenders may not have 'burst' damage but certain builds such as this have better damage than most realise.
With AM, assault, 3 slotted damage powers and -res togg on the opponent it equates to a +180% damage above the Base defender Damage. And remember this damage is rarely resisted in PvP.. -
I have Power mastery on my kin def. Apart from transfusion there are no bugs with it. PBU is really nice with transference (can 100% end drain EB's and makes a sufficient dent in AV's) and good with the 38 nuke (40s secondary effects really help out the team)
Although as we are offenders I can see Thunder Strike looking nice

Yeah a challenge it always nice. I dont mind gimping it up aswell. Eg no travel(well til theres nothing else we need) and stamina
