I have lvl 50 Earth/Rad Controller.
I personally love Earth Control, when Earth Assault comes out, I am tempted to make an Earth/Earth Dom, though I may end up Grav or Plant/Earth Assault isntead(Since I never played those 2 yet)

After talking to Castle, I was informed Those in Mental Control Control do not have Positional Typed Affects added to the attacks they preform.
Thus Positional Defense of Melee/Ranged/AOE can for most part be soft capped to them, while Psi defense itself is required for Mental stuff.
Though I sent him message back for further detailing of such things. Now more folks are informed, I learned that what some of the Non Positional Psi attacks are. Perhaps he can come here clarify more.

Heroes get 1 annoying sidekick, which then we make in the closet jokes about the 2, constantly....

When you drop Earthquake or Volcanic Gases, then Quicksand, while standing around a corner. They are all mezed Up or bouncing about, you run in, Combust
Its a good power for Earth Controllers, since Earth is very AOE Control intensive.

I will say this about the Defense.
Typed Defense is the Redheaded Stepchild of Defense. It usually harder/more expensive to soft cap it, plus you'll usually have a weakness to pure psi based attacks that have no extra effect to it, like Smashing or Energy added to said attack.
While Positional is the King & can withstand the Psi attack(so long as they are not the certain special attacks with no typed added to it). Its usually far easier & cheaper to Soft Cap yourself.

Confuse may be the pure Psi thing, I believe if it doesn't do dmg or a special unique thing to an AV/Hero then that can be by passed. While some have varying factors, like Its Ranged, Does Psi & Smashing, so you have 3 options of defense there for a toon to avoid it.
I sent a message to Castle for exact specifics, so Tue/Wed, we should all hopefully have this finalized.

Yes, there is.
If he shoots Psi Dart at you Its Ranged
If he uses a TK Thrust against you, its Melee
If he Psi Screams/Tornados its AoE
Here a list of Some Psi Powers, That many Mobs have used. Ranged...Melee..PBAOE...AOE...whats that? Thats right its tagged with Positional on top of it. Psi Defense is important for Typed Defense Builds(Ice Armor or Energy Armor for example) or as I stated the Rare Pure Psi no Typed mod is add to it attacks.
Psionic Dart Ranged, Minor DMG(Psionic), Foe -Recharge
Mind Probe Melee, Moderate DMG(Psionic), Foe -Recharge
Telekinetic Thrust Melee, Minor DMG(Psionic/Smash), Foe High Knockback
Mental Blast Ranged, Moderate DMG(Psionic), Foe -Recharge
Psychic Scream Ranged (Cone), Moderate DMG(Psionic), Foe -Recharge

Ranged Psi
Melee Psi
AoE Psi
Thus I have 45%+ to Softcap to said attacks, care to try again?
Though are are certain Mob/AV Psi attacks that jus considered flat out Psi with no other added modifier.

FIRST: You folks want a PBAOE flash arrow like power with -tohit? HELLO Blinding Powder, exactly the same as you asked for, but as a Cone & has Confusion & Sleep Proc. in it. Next, lets look at Ninjitsu's List.

Sorry, NO Hide for you guys, so that needs replaced & retooled,
Now ya'll say no Caltrops, cuz you can get it in a Power Pool, doubt that would be removed, because of that, if anything they would do they did with Shield Secondary, make said power unable to be gotten if you got the original.
You Self heal can be 6 slotted with 5 pieces of Something heal/recharge, last piece can have the Res/+3% Def piece. NO
Smoke Flash, again since you shouldn't get hide, this has to be removed or retooled. The rate we are going here, might as well just make whole new Set.
I just do not seeing this going to Scrappers, it was "specifically" made for Stalkers in mind & only stalkers, while other Stalker secondaries are mish-mashes of other secondaries, this was something unique to them.
Instead you guys can have Energy Armor instead. -snickers-

The attack build is smooth actually.
I jus solo'd 5 mishes, to give it a test run, 0 problems on Endo either. .87 endo cost with all toggles running, then factor in endo redux in the attacks.
