Quote:Sands of Mu taking up prime power tray real estate??? *IF* I have it in my tray, it's in alt-5 maybe.1 = Sands of Mu, 2 = Power Slice (aka 'reset combo'), 3 = Nimble Slash, 4 = Ablating Strike, and 5 = Typhoon's Edge.
Alt-1 & Alt-2 are Blackwand and Nemesis Staff for the occasional Ranged attack.
Alt-3 = Taunt - It's just too useful to skip, and Alt-4 = Blinding Feint.
My best suggestion: get the Blackwand and Nemesis Staff out of there. Put them in a keybind. I take one *OR* the other on every toon and use the following keybind:
alt+f "powexecname Nemesis Staff$$powexecname Blackwand"
The bind tries to fire off both, but the character only has one so it fires that one and the rest of the bind does nothing, not even an error message. If you have both powers on every toon, set up two keybinds. Keybinds are ideal for something that is the same ACROSS EVERY CHARACTER.
In the same vein, I have a bind for Recall Friend on every character. If I accidentally hit the bind on a character that doesn't have the power, nothing happens - no error, no animation, nothing at all. -
Quote:Overkill, if you're running Tactics (which the OP is).Um, okay, but make sure your Bots have at least TWO Acc, since they'll be a couple of levels lower than You. Personally, I slot everything with at least 2 Acc because hitting like a truck is worthless, if you cannot Hit in the first place. I slot my Tier-1 pets with around 3 Acc, or the equivalent, since they will be working at reduced levels, compared to my enemy.

Same here. Antec in my last 3 builds. Antec case also, on the current build.

Unfortunately, the defender proc is still broken in AoE powers. Still, making some progress.

Quote:Minimal effort? It's not a question of effort. They intentionally, deliberately changed the capacity of the storage racks. Changing it back would be virtually effortless, since the higher capability was already implemented.Never said it was likely. Said I'd like it. Sad, that they won't likely put forth even that minimal effort.
They CHOOSE not to make that change. -
Are you saying you moved the FOLDER that had the screenshots in it? (i.e. the one named "screenshots")
-
Yikes. Buying it one piece at a time.

The two lists are complementary. The list you gave are the heroes you want to rescue. The list in the hint text are the ones you DON'T want to rescue.
What the hint text is saying here: "defeat the Sentinel with the following three powers acquired from controlled heroes" is that the Sentinel is receiving power from those heroes and you need to leave those heroes captive. The team doesn't get powers by rescuing heroes; the Sentinel is getting power from them being captive. -
That's just in your case. Overall, they were working fine until CoH:Freedom launched, then they got borked. If you only had 3 at that time, you're stuck at 3. If you had 5, you still do.

Quote:<shrug> When the devs write the mission so that I have a freakin' army of NPC's, how is that an exploit? Even if my character is a tornado of death, they're probably doing more damage simply because there are... five? of them.Sounds like an EXPLOIT and not a legitimate method of farming. If you are getting rewards without even attacking at a "farmable" pace this is definitely not WAI and is an exploit.
Never mind the mission from Bane Spider Ruben where you get probably 15 NPC's to do the fighting. -
Marketeers farming niches don't try to control anything. They take advantage of existing volatility.

Quote:Unless you can buff him up. My plant/cold controller has the unkillable (almost) combat buff pet. Slap on some ice shields and use Frostworks to give it an extra 550 or so hit points. Bam!So, for 800p, I get a 10% influence boost off the 1 minion that falls, since it'll be dead from the AoE's in the alpha immediatly following that.

Well..... the problem with that is that it suggests accuracy affects a single power while to hit affects all of them. In fact, you can have global accuracy (as well as global to hit).

Our time of suffering through the Shadow Shard task forces is half over. We've done two and have two left.

Quote:Invite a VIP. Leave them at the lowest rank and set all your storage so the lowest rank can't access it. Or, if you're paranoid, ask them to go to the SG registrar, invite them, they pay the rent, then kick them. You only need to pay the rent once per six weeks - after they cut the power.I will have to come up with some way re-open my base though as I have dozens of high value IOs locked up in storage inside.
If you think it will hard to find someone who will put up with that nonsense, I volunteer. I have unaffiliated toons on every server and I go around helping other SG's get the healing badges. -
Quote:You're right; it doesn't matter why you can't run the trials.Doesn't matter why I can't run the trials, just that I cannot. As such I should be denied the ability to advance my character?
Should you be denied the ability to advance your characters AT ALL? No, and you are not. Should you be denied the ability to advance as fast as people doing the trials? Now we look at the word "should". Pushing people to team is one of the most basic design decisions of this development team and game. Should it be that way? Everyone can have a different opinion on that. But it's been that way from day one. So, from the point of view of the original dev team and the current team, should solo advance more slowly than team? Yes.
Now, it looks like it was set a bit TOO slow. However, we have seen, and the devs have publicly stated, they prefer to introduce things conservatively and upgrade them after seeing how it goes, rather than starting off bold and nerfing later. We can be absolutely certain they are evaluating the rate of solo incarnate progress. Having said that, they may be perfectly happy with the way it is right now. Or not. We'll have an answer if they improve the iSolo experience. -

Quote:I know, right? I mean, let's not imply there's something going on or that the delay is whimsical in nature or something.....Not really understanding the delay for staff at all. Of course you guys are entitled to and will do what you want, just not seeing what the delay is all about...

Where did you get that idea? Threads drop like rain compared to Shards. It takes 4 Shards to make a common component and 20 Threads to do the same.
