Quote:Well, technically, you can get almost all of it by soloing. The only thing you can't get solo is the Hybrid slot, which is kind of 'meh' compared to some of the others. And you can saw a board in half using a nail file.I do sometimes group, but I do play odd hours, and tend to enjoy soloing alot too. My question is basically how far can I get along the Incarnate ladder just by soloing?
Since your only issue with teaming seems to be that you are on at odd hours, I would suggest checking out various servers. A number of them have high concentrations of players from various geographic regions (i.e. Europe, Australia, etc) and have different peak hours.
As a VIP subscriber, you get one free server transfer per month. If you expect to be playing at the same hours for the foreseeable future, this might be the way to go.
As for soloing, it's good for getting incarnate salvage. The trials will get you iXP fast, and give you a better shot at rare and very rare salvage. Soloing arcs is a good way to get some additional common and uncommon salvage. Each arc earns you a piece of salvage. This is per character per week, so each toon can get 6 pieces of salvage per week from soloing (there are 6 arcs.... really 7 but one is short and doesn't give a reward). -
Quote:Then the chart doesn't actually give any useful information.I do not take recharge time into account because then I would have to analyze the data by time intervals.
Quote:But, to help out: I will run another analysis; to show the average recharge time for the powersets rather than their average damage. It may help give clarity to my point about the lower damage powersets having faster recharge to be balanced with the hard hitting slower recharge powersets. -
Quote:Hopefully you can get over that sense of entitlement. It's probably going to take some time to get used to, but for now I still feel somewhat gutted about it. I feel I have paid for something that have now been forcefully limited for me - because I don't have enough played subscription time.
Previously, you had to SUBSCRIBE and pay every month to have access. Now, if you subscribe again, you'll still have all that and more. But you also have the option of partial access completely free.
In both cases, you are getting MORE than you used to - but you feel "somewhat gutted about it". Oh well. I don't think that's something we or NCSoft can fix for you. -
Quote:A classic post. I love how someone can post something like that, yet mention "common sense" in the same post.My favorite complaint was from the guy that was upset the free items weren't the most expensive items on the market and argued the stuff being given away like "giving a starving person moldy rotten food with maggots and tapeworms in it to where they are dead if they eat it, dead if they don't."

Actually, that was the one I was most excited about. I could have just bought the others if I really wanted them. -

I'm trying to pick a Lore pet for a sonic/sonic defender. He's all about debuffing resistance. I see plenty of Lore pets with -defense; are there any that debuff resistance?

Whoa!!!
It's already Thursday and I didn't post the TF for this week.
Well, we did Hess, Moonfire and Citadel, so that pretty much covers it up to level 30. I guess Katie Hannon is next.
Saturday, June 23 at 1PM EDT
A Tangled Plot (AKA Katie Hannon TF)

2. Ad Astra - maybe Winter Shock (electric/cold troller)
3. GATE-keeper - Statesdude (brute)
4. Elllls - Tributary (tank)
5. Asgardian Blade - Asgardian Razor (brute)
6. Saint Jon - maybe a brute, if he's awake
7. Angelica Venger - someone
8. my awesome display name - probably the antler chick
9. Flux Overlord - Flux Overlord (scrapper)
10.
11.

The iTrials usually don't get announced on channels. There's generally enough people standing around in Dark Astoria to just broadcast and go. On the weekend, there will occasionally be three running simultaneously.

Not in my recollection. And I read every post. Unless you can link to such a statement, I'll just assume you're misremembering.

Quote:The worst part is where six are jammed into a corridor. Also another question, are there any spots where there are multiple bombs together? Within 150 feet meaning that if a melee character ran up to the bomb two countdowns would start? If so how many spots?
There is a lovely rendition of the entire trial map in this thread. -
Quote:Back in the old days, "a while" meant about 10 months.I find it's better not to worry about efficiency on these badges. Just find a mob in an instance (to avoid timing out) that can't possibly kill you, then go do something else for a while.
Efficiency mattered then. -
Quote:The Founders Falls safeguard has this issue also. The mini-map display is wonky. My toon runs into a zone boundary, even though the map (reveal) shows the badge is ahead, and inside the boundary shown on the map.
Most of my characters are on Infinity and I've done that safeguard enough that I know where the badge is without needing a map. I should be online within about 30 minutes or so. If you're on any of the following channels:
Inf Badge Seeker
Infinity Badges 2.0
AE Anonymous
Infinity TFs
- look for Ironblade One or Ironblade Too
Or just trying sending a tell. -
Quote:Of course, the incarnate system is still relatively new, so it makes sense that there would be a lot of focus on it currently.Because the majority of the focus of new content is incarnate related, which requires you to get to 50 in order to participate.
Absolutely, complete, FALSE. Or were task forces and trials, which have ironclad minimum level requirements, just introduced today? -

Really, it's that simple for most people.
The world is not static. i'm sorry, but it's true.

Quote:Business decisions that start with 'lets do it at midnight' then stop when they realise nobody actually works at that time really make me sad. They could save face by automating it but didn't.
I don't mind when it is scheduled for, but changing the schedule for a reason which seems to boil down to 'lack of foresight' gets me annoyed.
I have quit jobs because bosses just don't look ahead (And ignore my usually correct predictions) and I hate seeing people making decisions when they don't show the most basic decision making skills. I know this is only a small thing, but if all the small things are done right then everything works properly.

He could have been teleported there. That's sometimes done when running the Abandoned Sewer Trial - one person runs ahead and teleports everyone else.

<runs out to buy RAM>
Quote:Sure, we finally got it to finish loading. We let it sit through the initial boot for a two hours (including lunch). We let it finish logging in to the Desktop about a half hour later. We finally got it to bring up the Control Panel 20 minutes later. -
Quote:I've never experienced any issues with the patches in MoM.This is being killed by the death patches in MoM where there's no purple crud on the floor. This is being killed by charging back in after Tyrant finishes his lightning strike, with no ground effects whatsoever and taking damage from the lightning patches. Basically with no VFX around me other than ones I'm generating and I have red numbers start floating off of me out of noplace.
Tyrant's lightning in the Magisterium is a different story. I have seen the following:
- The lightning VFX fade out before the damage effect so it looks clear but you can get killed by it.
- The lightning fails to appear AT ALL. And I don't mean the VFX - it gives the 'crackle' warning, he does the animation, then no lightning. You can run anywhere you want and take no damage.
So, while I haven't seen the issue you describe, that lightning is awfully flaky. -
Well, I don't really chat on these channels myself. I use them to recruit for task forces and see when other people are starting them. I see more chatting on channels like the market channel where people have questions about the market (consignment house, not the Paragon Market) or are commenting on unusual price movements.
Mostly, I chat:
- With the team or league I'm on.
- On private supergroup channels.
- With people on my global list. -
Now do the Penelope Yin task force. It starts at level 20 and replaces the Sister Psyche TF. It's SHORT and all the missions are in the same zone. Even the part set in Terra Volta is accessed from a Longbow chopper in Indy Port.

Quote:I know someone who left the game and gave all his stuff away.Giving out your stuff when you leave is generally a mistake, just because I've heard enough tales of people doing this, then kicking themselves when they come back and have to start over to fill a book.
Then came back and had to re-equip from scratch.
Then he left the game AGAIN and didn't learn his lesson the first time. He gave everything away AGAIN and - you guessed it - he came back AGAIN and had to start from scratch again.
I mention this partly out of amusement and partly out of bitterness - I didn't get any of his stuff! -
A lot of the so-called excuses are simply business decisions. We hear a lot of complaining about why things get scheduled the way they do. Frequently, the reason is that it needs to take place during normal business hours at whatever location is responsible.

Well, I use Infinity TFs any time I'm recruiting for a TF or trial.
I usually also hit:
Inf Badge Seeker
Infinity Badges 2.0
If you want more activity on these channels, say something.
They do seem to be quiet lately. I think it's because of all the iTrial activity, for which people just congregate in DA and often don't bother with the channels.
