Quote:eh, my dark/dark tank only has 4 points of -KNB. You specifically said you're not planning to be a "primary tank" so the knockback protection isn't that big a deal.I actually did take CJ, and maneuvers. I shifted for another point of KB in this new build.

Quote:Do what Hyperstrike said. So, what can I change about that target to simply open the NC Soft Launcher and not auto-load either the beta nor the game? And not lose my access to the Beta server?
Or, you can make a new shortcut and change it to this:
"D:\Program Files (x86)\NCSoft\Launcher\NCLauncher.exe" /LaunchGame=CityOfHeroes
This will launch the regular game. I have one like this on my desktop. I only start the launcher directly if I want to access Test or Beta, or if I need to patch one of the installs. -
Quote:It took me 29 packs to get the damn GLOVES, and those are only 'uncommon'.You should get all the costume pieces within 15-20 packs. At least, that has been my experience on both accounts, getting all of them except the beam rifle piece within 10-12 packs.

Quote:How you can consider "Don't give us money, let us annoy you" a *good* decision is baffling.
Okay, but still not relevant. Unless I missed something, no one said that Super Pack 1 is going away completely; just that it's leaving the Paragon Rewards system. -
Since July 4th is a holiday, I can show up for this one.
I'll be running this on a Saturday with my controller..... so maybe I can bring my SR/StJ tank. -
Sign me up. Ironblade is 50+3 and has Hybrid at tier 4. I have a ton of Ultimates. Been burning through them trying to get The Really Hard Way badge.
The badge for not letting Black Swan have 6 portals up at once (Shadow Master) is EASY. Got it without even trying or thinking about it. Don't plan on a run for this badge. You'll get it without trying.
The badge for wiping everything but Tyrant within 8 minutes (Ready to Rumble) isn't too hard. As I recall, we failed it once while learning the trial, then did it in 6-1/2 minutes on the second try.
The badge for killing the 3 AV's within 5 seconds (Triple Threat) is harder, mainly due to Nega Pendragon's shield (i.e. the new Absorption mechanic). I'd say there's a strong likelihood of not getting this on the first attempt.
I don't have the badge for taking out Tyrant using 12 Lights or less (The Hard Way). This badge was made much harder by the fact that the Lights were massively bugged and only affecting 16 random targets instead of EVERYONE. This was fixed in Tuesdays patch. This is the only badge you should need the Ultimate inspirations for.
On any run that you're NOT going for The Hard Way badge, I can bring someone else. I have 9 other toons at 50+3. -

Quote:Correct. They have CHOSEN not to, despite the wailing and gnashing of teeth. Sounds to me like they had plenty of time to think it over and this is a firm decision. And they have had over 7 months to come up with an alternative to put this discussion to rest, yet again they have chosen not to.
Quote:Man, I think that's horrible that folks aren't able to get this wolf. If I could give mine away, I would. For a vanity pet, it is one of the better ones, but I would have preferred 100 reward merits, myself.
Quote:But "We just won't?" That's the sort of thing that immediately sours any goodwill Paragon Studios builds up. There's absolutely no logic to it. You made money off of the H/V packs for it. So, you don't want to... make... more money from the people that didn't get everything (or anything,) or join / return later?
What's the sense in that?
Quote:Saying "No, we don't want to do this at all?" Poor decision, and really I expect that to be better thought through. This is a poor business decision, and a poor community relations decision.
Quote:As I recall, the devs mentioned selling over half a million super packs at one point. I suspect that qualified the program as a major success.
Quote:They've already said they were giving up said goose by retiring said goose.
Quote:Ticking off your customers isn't a great business choice. Especially when it doesn't cost you to NOT tick off the customer. Digging in and not listening to people that say "I don't like this way to buy your item, but I'd buy it another way" only hurts Paragon Studios' bottom line. -

Quote:This is wrong. It WAS as you describe, but only for a short time.... you can't change how much people in the team lower than that TF's minimum ( For example for STF all missions spawn as if team is 8 no matter what is your setting or how many people are left in the team)
Logging out does not change how many enemies spawn, but quitting the team DOES. If you start an STF and six people QUIT THE TEAM, it will spawn for a team size of two from that point on. -
Quote:I'm pretty sure that the OP didn't see either of those and that's why he or she posted the question here.I'm pretty sure that both the Issue 23 patch notes and my "Consolidated Issue 23 Badge Info" thread addressed this:
Posting links to those other resources is definitely helpful, though. Especially if you can do it without the snark. -
Quote:Actually, six.Since the DA arcs only have five parts that grant that reward table (Max's arc has no reward at the end),
1) Heather
2) Mu-whatever
3) Praetor Duncan
4) Sister Solaris
5) Dream Doctor
6) Dream Doctor AGAIN - he has TWO arcs and each gives a reward table. -

Isn't that the character you said you hadn't played in a long time, then you played her and were reminded why you hadn't? Or words to that effect.....
-
Separate badge. The OLD arc - A Hero's Hero - gives Statesman's Pal.
The NEW arc - A Hero's Epic - gives Positron's Pal.
The old arc is only available via Flashback. The new arc is available via Flashback and directly from Maria Jenkins. -

I would say that Hybrid in general seems kind of 'meh'.
I have 9 toons with at least tier 3 in the first five incarnate slots and am working on my 10th. For Hybrid, I'm only bothering on 4 toons. I took Assault on my main (a scrapper), got Melee on my two main tanks and am working on Support on my main defender.
As for noticing a difference.... I'd probably have to run a specific mission twice at the same settings - once with Hybrid slotted and once not - to notice a difference. Of course, I wouldn't be able to notice at 12% regen bonus, but I got those anyway (five times). So it definitely adds up. If you put any significant effort into optimizing the character, yeah, get Hybrid. If it's a character you only play occasionally, don't bother. -
It might be, since they're not 'normal' trolls.
When you target them, what is their faction? Does it say "Trolls" or something else? -
Quote:Different circumstances? Even if your slotting is identical, the players taking aggro from you could be the variable. Then how is it i lose aggro on my SR/MA tank and do not on me SD/BA tank which has the same type of slotting?
According to Red Tomax, the taunts in those secondaries are exactly identical.
