Anyone try Hybrid Melee?
yes if u go to the left side u get more res, right side u get more def but u also get more aggro with it on the right side, plus UNLIKE assault it is a toggle where as assault u have to wait a 2 min cool down. I took the left side for the res to cap it out on some of my toons, and i have noticed some good things with it, plus the regain is auto and always on.
I have not personally tried Melee on a tank yet, but it's worth mentioning that the Melee t1 is a pale shadow of what the higher tiers can do, so don't let that alone sour your impression of it.
Melee t1 gives ~10% regen per target, and caps at 4 targets.
Melee t4 Core gives ~17% res, ~240% regen, and mag ~10 protection to all mez (including confuse/fear), plus ~15% regen and ~1% res per target, and caps at 10 targets.
Melee t4 Radial gives 1.5% defense and ~45% regen and mag 2 mez protection per target, and caps at 10 targets, and is also a 10-foot taunt aura (which, yes, is bigger than actual taunt auras).

My Scrapper's Melee Core Embodiment shuts off after 2 minutes like any other Hybrid toggle. Sometimes Hybrid powers will bug out and not shut off properly (mostly if you zone with the toggle on), but that's a bug, so don't count on it staying around forever.
I have definitely had mine not detoggle and stay on indefinitely, but just now I turned it on while standing around waiting for a TF to start, and it turned off on its own after 2 minutes.
Really? I have yet had my melee toggle off on any of my toons that have it.

For the thread, I didn't bother with melee. Between Alpha, Destiny, Interface, Judgement, and maybe even Lore, there have been so many opportunities to improve survivability that I went Assault or Support for my Tanks. And really, if you want to be more team friendly, Support is probably better (and that would up your survivability as well). Despite some posts to the contrary from others, I notice a significant difference in my offense with Assault going.

I would say that Hybrid in general seems kind of 'meh'.
I have 9 toons with at least tier 3 in the first five incarnate slots and am working on my 10th. For Hybrid, I'm only bothering on 4 toons. I took Assault on my main (a scrapper), got Melee on my two main tanks and am working on Support on my main defender.
As for noticing a difference.... I'd probably have to run a specific mission twice at the same settings - once with Hybrid slotted and once not - to notice a difference. Of course, I wouldn't be able to notice at 12% regen bonus, but I got those anyway (five times). So it definitely adds up. If you put any significant effort into optimizing the character, yeah, get Hybrid. If it's a character you only play occasionally, don't bother.

Or is everyone just going Assault?
I took Melee T1 on a Fire tank and can't tell much of a difference (T1, I know), but don't wanna burn a rare/VR to climb to T3/4 if it's gonna be a waste. Anyone w/positive experiences w/Hybrid Melee?
