Quote:Yes, it does. Having that happen is not a common occurrence. However, if, for example, there were 1000 people farming, you'd be pretty much guaranteed for some of them to have that happen.Ok fair enough .... just never gone 24 straight hours of running a farm without a drop. Seems improbable
Absolutely not.
Firstly, MARTY is based on RATE of rewards. Getting a single PvP IO in a day is too much? Hardly.
Secondly, PvP farming is still working fine. -
Quote:Yes. Annoyingly, you CAN NOT delete the power directly from the power tray. You have to open your power list, find the temporary powers section, scroll down (it should be at or near the bottom of that section), then right-click to delete it. THEN confirm it in the pop-op window.I want to know how to delete them - because I have a police drone power stuck on one of mine - I forget what trial that was from, where you have to revive drones.

Quote:<snort> It's called being realistic. The in-game rights are what NCSoft chooses to give us. Lamenting the perceived injustice does not serve a purpose.Players had much more leeway pre-settlement than post.
So yeah, that's selling out the players because it was cheaper than continuing to litigate in the interest of a better result.
It's always interesting to me how violently passionate some folk become in support of the rights of corporations to supersede their own.
As for calling it "selling out the players", call it whatever you want. Call it an outrage. Call it A LITERAL SLAP IN THE FACE (that's always a popular one). It was a business decision. Anyone who feels strongly about it can take their business elsewhere. As for me, it's a game - why should I care?
It's always amusing to me how bent out of shape people can get over a game. And I contend that anyone preaching about rights in a game is 'bent out of shape' about it. -

Quote:You used the word "nobody" so we only need to show one exception to prove your statement false. My statement remains true for large values of "no one" and I defy you to prove that it isn't.
More seriously...let me guess, you're on Virtue or Freedom?
I play on Infinity and have used the LFG to get in the Summer event. -
Quote:Just like any other business transaction, your rights are either spelled out in a service agreement or follow generally accepted practice for the industry in question (i.e. I don't sign off on anything when I go to the grocery store). So you don't think you ought to have any rights just because you're in a game world?
That's an interesting point of view which I don't share.
To talk about NCSoft selling out their players rights in the dispute with Marvel is absurd. Your rights in the context of the game are whatever is allowed to you by the business. If you don't find the terms and conditions acceptable, then you leave. -
Quote:Wouldn't it make more sense to call that pulling an Admiral Kirk on them?As for what to do with the refugees, I'd say do what Cole ought to have done in the first place - find an unpopulated reality and relocate them there with the basic tools of survival and promise to check in on them occasionally, while remembering to actually do it instead of pulling a Khan on them.

I noticed something odd in the Blockbuster event. Sometimes your temp powers will be working (Sands of Mu, etc); sometimes they are greyed out. Even odder, as you move through each phase of the event or die and respawn in the lobby, the temp powers status can change repeatedly during a single run of the event.

Quote:Exactly what I was going to point out. We're going to see extensive changes to existing powers. That has always called for a freespec in the past.I'm 99% sure the Revamp to Blasters, Ranged Damage and similar changes will give us a Free Respec in i24.
Damn right we did! Nothing cooler than free hats. -
Quote:I am almost positive Panacea does not work as suggested in Warmth or such powers.Quote:It was working in Healing Aura as I said..granted, this was perhaps..a month ago. May have been stealth altered since then..
Of course, as MisterD points out, it may have been stealth-nerfed recently, although I can't imagine why it would be. -

Huh... Sounds similar to when the ITF was spawning EB versions of Romulus all over the place.

You definitely WANT Granite Armor, but living in it makes you a very one-dimensional character and awfully boring to play. A stone tank running Granite is the most durable character in the game, and by a wide margin.
I built for +runspeed and +recharge to make the character tolerable while running Granite and Rooted. On the bright side, when the enemies aren't mean enough to need Granite, all that recharge means I can lay some serious smackdown and also solo very fast (for a tank).
I don't use Mids so I can't post my build. I have the Gift of the Ancients +7.5% runspeed five times. I have Luck of the Gambler +7.5% recharge five times. With all that recharge, you'll run into endurance issues when not using Granite. I've got +39% recovery (not including Stamina). -
Quote:Sorry, but no.forces players to run the event to get a chance of the IO, rather than being able to buy it on the market. devs effectively force players into playing their content.
Bingo! With the apparent demand for that KB to KD proc, you know people are running this to sell it. Whether it can be listed right now is irrelevant. And, yeah, as I asked previously, how is it "convenient" for the devs never got answered. Maybe he thinks they get a commission when someone runs the new content. Their goal would be to have people running the content because they WANT to. Any time people perceive this as being 'forced', the boards erupt in nerdrage. -
Healing on the buff pet doesn't count. It used to, but hasn't in a while.
Quote:Wow, the game has come a long way since the days of the 6 Month Arena Farm. Of course, moving that decimal also helped a ton. -
It's a cool hat. When I was little, I had one that I got in Colonial Williamsburg.

What is it, girl? Did Frank fall in the well?

Quote:I think the speed of the fix depends on how easy it is. I don't think the farming/flooding the market is in any way a concern.I would imagine NCSoft won't fix the OF/Wentworth's bug until the Summer Blockbuster is over. If they did, the event would lose a lot of its replay appeal--a few players could farm the event for the OF enhancements and flood Wentworth's for epic loots.
Quote:Do seasonal event items ever end up in the Paragon Market? -
Seriously, how is it convenient for them?

On the one hand, that seems excessively detailed and requiring a lot of instructions.
On the other hand, it sounds really well thought-out and I have no doubt that will really cut down the time needed.
