Did you check this part? I have this exact problem with Microsoft Access at work. Sometimes when I close it, it SEEMS to close but if I check the Task Manager, it's actually still running.

Quote:First, why stone? In the old raids, any tank was okay (as long as they had built-in knockback resistance) and I did lead taunt on my invuln. We still need a couple more team leads before we can get this rolling again, and especially, a good stone tank to take care of Hami aggro for us. And I definitely want to line up several more back up leads, so if you want to get involved in active Hami raiding, LET ME KNOW!!!
Second, I'm interested in giving it a try, to see the new format if for no other reason. Whether I can make it depends on what night it ends up on. -
You're kidding, right? I've seen a team of controllers "roll through" the STF. Not a MoSTF attempt and we were goofing around and chatting and had exactly ONE casualty and that was when someone got careless (it was against Black Scorpion - the wuss).

This sure sounds awfully close to: "Anyone who disagrees with me must be a bad person and their opinion is worthless."

If you're talking about Dual Pistols, I think we may have already had a lot of the price movement. I look around and feel like I'm in City of Gunslingers already.

Quote:And yet I have ZERO interest in PvP and am, in fact, one of the top badgers on my server. And I don't see a problem.I assume what you meant is that you disagree on my assessment of the severity of the problem. And I would bet that the majority of the PvP side (for lack of a better term) would side with you whereas the majority of the other side would disagree with you. Because here we are at the core of the problem.

Just as a reminder, since I teamed with someone last night and they commented about the SF "this Saturday".....
Saturday April 3
NOT this Saturday. -
hmm.... was the SG named Ghost Riders?

(Probably not. I bet that would get genericed because of the skull-faced hero with that name.)
I have like 40 covers of that song on my hard drive (Ghost Riders In The Sky).

Quote:I disagree. I don't feel that the chronic threads are indicative of a problem. I think they are a reflection on human nature. If you take this discussion to a meta level it's obvious that there is a problem. No matter what arguments you prefer or who you think is right. The fact alone that this discussion fills large threads again and again, endlessly repeating the arguments from both sides, clearly shows that the current situation is NOT ok.

Quote:This doesn't sound unreasonable as long as there are some restrictions:Hence the PvP flag suggestion. If I'm in a PvP zone and want to PvP then I set the flag, and my name goes orange. Otherwise it's grey because I want to be left alone to have a mooch around a zone, or enjoy watching some PvP'ers fight.
1) You set the flag ONCE when you enter the zone. To change it, you have to leave and come back. Otherwise, being able to change the setting at will is exploitable.
2) As long as you have PvP turned off, you can not earn any of the special rewards associated with the zone (Shivan Shards, Heavy pet, Warburg misssiles). -
I only actually asked that of one player and got exactly the answer I expected. He felt that scrappers weren't tough enough.

Quote:hmm.... video game characters with silly names.....lmao! Can't remember which one, but I was listening to some video game podcast a few weeks back, and they read off a list of similarly ridiculous names for male video game characters. Probably one of the IGN podcasts, but I can't say for sure.

Quote:I would bet money that they did not.Is it only really bad luck or did they change drops without telling?
A better question might be: Did they mess up drop rates by accident? That's always possible.
Please note, however, 450 kills means SQUAT. That is not a large enough sample to draw conclusions. -

False. Griefing, in the context of this game, has a clear definition set out by the devs. If I do something within the rules and guidelines set forth and it happens to make someone unhappy, that's just too bad. I can't control their reaction to things. I can only control what I do. If I stay within the rules, it doesn't matter how upset they might get - it's not griefing.

Quote:5 years ago I devoted my time completely to getting to level 50, unlocked epic AT, and felt like I'd earned it.
I haven't played CoH in about 5 months or so, and looking on the website to find out that something like epic ATs at level 20 is kind of upsetting. If you feel that what other people receive diminishes you in some way, you need to build more character.Quote:I don't wanna sound like I'm overreacting, and I don't want to sound too attached to the game. But City of Heroes used to be a lot better. I KNOW I'm not the only one complaining about the frequent issues coming out to keep the game interesting.
Nothing is being taken from you, except perhaps in your own mind. -

Yep. It took me about 3 weeks just to get a full SNIPER ATTACK set. Last time I did that blue side, it took me a matter of minutes. All the pieces were there at reasonable prices (hundreds of thousands at most).

Yep, he said very plainly - no SG. Also, his SG isn't showing up in the listing at the Registrar. That could be the interface acting up, but I think you're probably right about him being boned.

Quote:Secondly, the PlayNC Store will only allow you to make so many transactions per credit card, per 24 hour period. Supposedly, there's a set limit, but if that's the case, the system is ignoring that limit...Yep. For some unfathomable reason, the limit is not fixed. One person might do 3 transactions in a day and their pal can get denied when attempting a second transaction. Maybe it evaluates 'fraud potential' for each transaction based on type of card, IP location, phase of the Moon, etc.Quote:
I won't be surpised if someone comes in and says that the way I said it works is incorrect. It may be.
