The only way I know of that a SG can be wiped out, is if a leader kicks everyone and then leaves.
Did you have ANY other players in your SG? If you were gone that long, the leadership star could have gone to someone else.

When you say no longer active, do you mean the SG is gone from the registry? Like Kat said, if someone kicked everyone else out and left the SG would go poof.
yeah there was just me, my wife, and her cousen in the SG but between us we had about 28-30 toons in it. it is possible that my wife's cousen kicked us and quit the SG but i would like to think he wouldnt lol. if that is the case is there anyway to get my SG back? and yes i check the SG registry for my SG name and it show's no match for that name

If it *is* that the cousin kicked everyone out and quit (or he invited someone new in, and they did it), then there is no way to get your SG back. It's gone for good.

Any time you're absent for 45 days (or it could be less, depending on the settings), you run the risk of losing the SG. That's just the way it is, and it was done intentionally so that people can't be 'stranded' in an SG with no leader and no way to administer the group.
In this situation, I'd contact the cousin and ask if he invited anyone else into the SG after you and your wife went inactive. I'm guessing that's what happened here, and then the cousin went inactive long enough to lose control of the SG.

Question for clarification.
You have no SG? As in you go to the SG tab and it tells you you're not in one?
Or you can't access your base?
If the former, I think you're boned.
If the latter, sometimes long-delinquent bases can have all sorts of weird side effects.

Just my two cents on this. My husband just remined me of another posibility.
A while back the devs were looking at some of the "cooler" bases and remember Stacker's Base went MIA along with the SG I think. Now if you still have your SG this might have happened to you because this was when you were MIA. You will have to get in touch with the Devs if you still have your SG and see if yours was one of the missing bases. It took them forever to fix some of this.
Just a thought. Good luck with SG finding though if you are on Triumph and just want to play in an SG and not start from scratch just contact me in game global is the same as my name here.
