I17 and the Atlas Park City Hall Foyer
My guess would be "no" - as that would make it no longer "reflective" for those not using Ultra Mode.

Negaduck: I see you found the crumb. I knew you'd never notice the huge flag.
I wonder how it will react with the new reflections if they don't, though.

The 'reduction in geometry' is negligible.

Oh, is THAT how they did it? Neat.
Maybe it's possible to "tell" the surface to be reflective in Ultra Mode and transparent without Ultra Mode an leave the geometry as it is. We would have both then.
I'm glad that I'm not the only person who was wondering about that. ;p
I don't know if they'll remove it for geometry reasons, since as people have pointed out the difference would be minimal, but they may want to make the floor actually reflective and make us feel less like vampires every time we walk in there.
(Removal of this aspect would of course be rather less neat for anyone whose character is, in fact, a vampire. ;p)
I assume they'll leave it as-is, though, with a big semi-transparent surface of something non-reflective underfoot and a bizarrely unsettling lack of reflection for all who visit.
(It's only unsettling for the visitors. It's been a well known fact for some time now that city employees have their souls removed when they are hired, and thus have no reflection anyway.)

if Ultra Mode is going to have these fancy reflective surfaces for water and shiny armor bits and whatever, whoever said the AP City Hall shiny marble floor won't keep reflecting the statues AND the PC/NPCs milling around?
And the Arena floors too, come to think of it. They have that sheen to them.
So, since we will be getting true reflective surfaces with I17, does that mean they will reduce some geometry in AP by eliminating the inverted 3D model of the foyer (that you see through the transparent floor) and swap it a true reflection instead (so we can see ourselves standing on the floor)?
