Except it's kind of broken and sometimes gives false 'not available' responses. The only way to really be sure is to try to make a toon with the name.

Sorry. When I read the wrong part, I lost interest in reading the rest so I didn't finish up the huge run-on sentence that only became clear 3 lines later on.

And, since the markets are CROSS-SERVER, you've just demonstrated that, literally, you don't know what you're talking about. Quit while you're ahead?

Pre-purchase of GR will get you demons with Issue 17 - scheduled for April release.
If you don't pre-purchase, you get demons with GR - scheduled for July release.

We need more challenging material. You'll notice that I don't put the word challenging in quotes since I'm not using the word sarcastically. Challenge is good. Variety is good. Give me lots of new content and make a portion of it so it really screws over one particular AT (at a time). As long as each AT gets hosed equally, I'll be happy.

P.S. So far, I'm *NOT* seeing that melee AT's are getting 'squeezed out'.

I've soloed that arc on a defender, a scrapper, a tank and a controller (I don't play blasters much).

But it's *A* playstyle, or *A* tactic that is affected.
Basically, the situation is: "You've got a couple dozen powers / tactics to pick from. This ONE POWER or ONE TACTIC would be a poor choice - work around it."

Seriously, you're taking an offhand comment and reading WAY too much into it. Did every player Posi met have their initial subscription date tattooed on their forehead? Or just MAYBE the long-term vets are the group most likely to make a big deal of how long they have been playing. Just MAYBE there was some self-selecting bias here.

I've had that happen a few times. I don't know what causes it.
Are you using a cordless or wired mouse?

I asked because I have two characters with Group Fly.

    Except that it's not.
Will there be enemies up to level 60?
Will we go up to level 60?
Will there be enhancements at levels 51 to 60?

    I didn't think so.

It's not that we like or dislike it.

    1) We disagree. And when I say we disagree, I mean that the majority of responses to your rant in the Tanker forum disputed your statements based on their personal experience. As do I. We just aren't having the same problems. Maybe you hang out with a bad crowd. Maybe your server sucks. I don't know. But I do know that you do not speak for the majority of players.

In addition to disagreeing with your statements of 'how the game is' and how broken the STF is, we disagree with your conclusions and your prognostications of doom regarding the end-game content. Again, MOST of the responses to your original post of this rant refute most of your points based on their personal experience.

I'm not saying that you're making anything up, or that it didn't happen to you, I'm just saying that it's not the widespread problem you seem to think it is.

    2) Yes, you have a whole laundry list of things you don't like about the STF and various parts of the game. You can't please all the people all of the time. I very much like a lot of the stuff you have issues with and really REALLY don't want it changed or nerfed in any way.

Finally, most of the stuff that you seem to be dreading, I'm anticipating. Why? Because it's different. You say it's the kind of stuff that will drive you from this game. If so, that's unfortunate. However, I'm looking forward to it because it adds VARIETY.

(shrug) Not on any STF team that I've been on.
I just don't see the kind of situation you keep describing and I like the STF just the way it is. Having a game be 'casual friendly' doesn't mean that it has to be non-stop easy mode.
  15. And we could have some wall signs that say B.A.R.T. and have some base NPC's that look like James Franciscus and Charlton Heston!
  16. Curious.
We went through a round of musical chai... keyboards at work and never had an issue like this. I didn't really pay attention to the keyboard brands but, since we have 3 Dell systems, I'm pretty sure there were Dell keyboards getting juggled around. I know our server has had at least 4 keyboards hooked up to it since it gets hand-me-downs if someone's keyboard is wearing out and the server happens to have a less-than-crummy one. It's an IBM system and I'm pretty sure it has had Dell, Microsoft and Logitech keyboards on it.

Group Fly used to be useful in the old raids. Is it still?

Actually, you'd only be rolling 2 dice. If you're rolling 5d10, you're getting a bell curve of results and not at all the same distribution as a d50 would yield.

Which is a vicious cycle, since the market inequities are a result of the lower population.
  22. I would never delete it since it looks cool (the arcane version). My main SG still has a raid teleporter in the main TP room.

    Ambushed!

My favorite ambushes (in countdown form):

    3) In Talos on my way to the magic store from the train, I see a crowd approaching. I was soloing a Malta arc and got an ambush of ELEVEN guys, +2 to me, while solo (3 lieuts. and 8 minions). I was on a scrapper (with Eye of the Magus) so I lived.

    2) On the platform of the Brickstown train station. I started hearing the police drones firing and watched as several members of a Malta ambush (Malta again!) FLEW from behind the station, avoiding the drones, and murdered a guy waiting for the train.

    1) In the Hollows, I'm on an empathy defender around level 40 and see a large team of 50's exit a mission door - the door closest to the Atlas Park gate. They zip off, passing right by the gate and CROWD of low level toons gathered there. It was right after a new powerset had been added so lots of people were starting new toons. A few seconds later, a massive mob of level 51 Malta come from behind a building and follow the same path - through the crowd of bystanders. The carnage was *EPIC*. In a matter of seconds, there were over 30 corpses scattered around David Wincott.

Seriously, though, I saw a great DBZ rip-off toon (years ago). The guy yelled, toggled on a fire shield (he was a fire tank), changed costume to the spiky yellow hair and flew off. It was flawless.
