Oh, I think I could do it. But it wouldn't be fun. At least, not for me. I'm sure there are plenty of people where the market is their primary entertainment in the game.

Someone posted a list of.... I think it was 9 ways to earn inf. At one time or another, I've done all of them. When I first decided to purple a toon (I've only ever purpled one toon), I WORKED at it. I didn't really enjoy it, but I wanted the result and I don't regret the tedium.

In general, for me and I think for most who 'play the market', we only do as much as necessary. As long as I'm earning faster than I'm spending, I'm in good shape. And since it takes me months to get a toon to 50 (I exemp a lot), and my IO builds only cost me 100-200 million influence, I don't need a lot of cash. I'll IO my toons when they hit the mid-30's and by the time they get to 50, they've earned most of the money the next toon will need. Or a lot more than the next toon will need if I get a single good purple drop. 'Just playing' should bring in enough cash for most players - AFTER you've gotten someone to 50. The first one might struggle for cash while leveling. But once you have a 50, and particularly if you play them much at all after hitting 50, you're set from that point on.

P.S. Oh, one thing that occurred to me. I like doing TF's so I have a lot of merits. My builds are relatively cheap since, if I need something RARE, I buy it with merits. On the other hand, most of my builds DON'T need anything rare.

You really haven't got the slightest clue what you're talking about, do you?
For flipping to work, you need to buy at the low end of the range of price fluctuations and sell at the high end. This requires PATIENCE. The flippers will put in a great many bids at super-cheap prices and WAIT. Then they will list the items at the upper end of the price range and WAIT.

Did'ja ever maybe pay attention and notice that flippers talk about being held back by how many market slots they have? If they were standing there flipping stuff every 2 seconds, they'd do fine with 2 or 3 slots.

If you actually believe what you're writing, I am astonished at your lack of intelligence/insight. Clearly you have a chip on your shoulder about something despite your professed wealth.

Let's just look at the first sentence above. Absolutely true that some people sit in WW flipping stuff. If you actually think they do it with the goal of inflating the market, you are utterly clueless. The goal is to get more influence/infamy. The overwhelming majority of people are not spiteful. However, many many people ARE greedy. But the greedy people aren't trying to push prices up. They don't CARE if they drive prices up. They care about raking in the moolah.

    Oh, and....

Yet you come in here and brag about your billions. The irony is strong in this one!

25 million for the Karma? Maybe there was some temporary price spike. I've bought DOZENS (like 40 or 50 total) at 5.5 million and under. (No, not all for me - I craft them and drop them in our base storage.)

I know this is "working as intended", but it seems very odd to me.
Part of what you describe is NOT working as intended. The boss setting refers to bosses while solo. If you're on a duo, it should override/ignore the 'bosses while solo' setting.

It sounds like there's a bug on the +0/7 setting. That SHOULD give you bosses if you're in a duo. As should /6 and /8 settings.

P.S. When I use my fire/kin to PL, if I set the map while solo I get no bosses. If I invite the other character before setting the map, I will get bosses. So that's working correctly.
  7. One Saturday when we're doing something short, we should also do Mender Tesseract's arc. It's only 3 missions long.

My ice tank does great and he's my only tank without Taunt. Auras + gauntlet + big damage will do wonders for your aggro management. I'll stroll over to a group, running Icicles and Chilling Embrace and drop an Ice Storm. The instant they start to run, I use Footstomp. Ice Storm and Footstomp with Rage and a pile of +damage set bonuses is a sight to behold.

If no enemy launches even a SINGLE attack at a teammate, where is there room for improvement?

Well..... I can't agree. There is tremendous variation in the effectiveness of the taunt auras. Some are great and fit your description - but some suck. Taunt is consistent across sets.

I agree with all three of you. They kept about 25 badges and axed the rest. I think it should have been the other way around. There were only a couple dozen badges that were ridiculous.

Sweet, sweet merits. I've soloed it over 30 times since merits were introduced.

Seems rushed to you, eh? Well, it seems fine and like 'business as usual' to the rest of us.

FYI, whenever you hear a release date of X month, just assume it will be very close to the last day of the month.

So, does anyone know how long this unbearable wait will be? Hours? Or (please no, please no) days?
This gets asked a lot. Official answer is that it should take under 24 hours for the test server to sync with the live servers to update your account status.

    Generally, no.
Trying to buy all of the supply is usually a horrible waste of money since there are always some items listed at crazy prices.

What the marketeers typically do is 'flip' stuff. They buy it cheap and sell it at a higher price. So, as mentioned, items with wide price fluctuations are prime targets.

    Hit Point Cap

I wouldn't (didn't) bother with +HP on an invuln since you have Dull Pain. I think defense will give you the most bang for the buck.

On the other hand, I'm definitely aiming for the cap on my WP tank since WP has no self-heal and crazy high regen.

  25. And it's worth noting that the buff lasts 20 minutes of playing time - even if you die, or log out and come back 3 days later. So you could log in after not playing the character for a week and wonder, "Where did this come from?"
