I haven't shopped for Kinetic Combat lately, but you can get Luck of the Gambler +recharge for 60-70 million each. I have bought FOUR in the past two weeks (I'm IO'ing a stone tank) in that price range.

Quote:<snort> Hardly. Although, to be fair, I guess the entire statement hinges on your definition of "seriously". I've gotten absolutely dramatic results for under 40 million influence. My invuln tank has 300% regen. Regen is the first bonus in the sets that have it, so it's DIRT CHEAP. Same for +recovery - I have a defender with no Fitness pool with 33% recovery. Again, DIRT CHEAP.400m is too little to seriously consider IO'ing a toon.
Take those 400m, invest them on the Market and turn them into 2 billion, and then you can make a nice build with typed defense bonuses, +health, +regeneration and +recharge (in that order)
Well, my first question is always: Is there any aspect of performance where you're NOT satisfied? On my WP tank, I used set bonuses to get to the hit point cap (then they raised the cap) and get some extra end recovery. -
Quote:I will point out that the single target heal has quite a good range, while the PBAoE heal requires you to be in the middle of the crowd. This is relevant because distance from the enemy affects your 'threat level' (i.e. how likely you are to be attacked).I see comments about the no healing aggroe, I hear you, my experience does not consistently support you. The few times, I play my empath, I do single heals on the main DPS, I almost never get any aggroe. I pbaoe a heal, and I get ringed like a bell, despite the group is below 16 and we have a tanker. What is the reason, this is occurring? Who cares! its happening.

Very unlikely. They don't delete inactive accounts. Worst case scenario is that some low level characters might have had someone else take their names so you'll have to rename them (for free, under those circumstances).
You can trade almost everything now. And some enhancements cost BILLIONS of influence.Quote:i know about RMT from games like world of warcraft which a few of mi freinds play because of buying money but i didnt think u could trade CoH currency(cant remeber name) i guessed enhancements but i wouldnt have thought much of a market for that as they r easy to find anyway.
Ah, then you're stuck going with the new account. You can't move characters between accounts.Quote:and i like my new characters. -

Quote:Sure, but give the most weight to the primary. Most of my tanks have all 9 powers from the primary and about 5 from the secondary.Well, this is a YMMV situation. I disagree. I think it makes perfect sense. Of course, my goals don't vary. If I make a tank, I have two goals. Personal survival and team survival. If I want to deal a lot of damage, I'll play a scrapper.Quote:That's way too generalist to make sense, as that really depends on the powersets you have (depending on the set and your goals with it, you might want more or less of either the primary or secondary). You really shouldn't have to skimp on your offense to have good defense as a tank: you might have to cut back on some offense in your APP, but not your secondary (or you can grab from both, whatever floats your boat).
I do think your statement "You really shouldn't have to skimp on your offense to have good defense as a tank" is a reasonable and accurate one. My position, though, is that I can usually find another power in the power pools or epics that will make my defense BETTER. -
Quote:That's illegal in some states.I <3 the merger. I <3 it I <3 it I <3 it so much. I have most of my played toons over Red Side. My best farmers are there. (My Thug/Storm MM and my Mace/Elec Rikti eating Brute) Along with the ease of emailing inf between toons...I can love my alts in whole new ways...

You put something blue (the floor) UNDER it and float the slow field in mid-air so it looks like the surface of the water.
P.S. Water isn't blue - it's clear. You need a lot of it for it to start filtering certain wavelengths and appearing blue. A decorative pool isn't that deep. -
Also worth mentioning: sometimes it's easier to manipulate items for stacking if you move your camera angle so that you're looking up from under the floor. If you're having difficulty positioning something where you SHOULD be able to put it, try that.

You need to set up a 'support account'. This is distinct from your 'game account'.

Really? In my opinion, the 'perfect' tanker would be indestructible. Inflicting damage is an afterthought. Give me ultimate defenses, plus Taunt and some kind of AoE damage or debuff to help me hold aggro and you can have the rest of my offensive abilities.

That's annoying. I didn't know you couldn't email them. I did know you can't put them in the consignment house. That's how I got mine - I was standing in WW when someone found he couldn't list them so he asked if anyone wanted to buy them on the spot.
So, what options do you have:
1) If you have a supergroup, check if you can put them in an enhancement table. Check with ONE first and see if you can safely remove it. If that works, you just store them until you want them for someone else. Obviously, you need secure storage - either a private SG or an SG that you run where you can set one table so only you can access it.
2) Sell them. Normally I would say post in the market forum but, since you can't email them, post in the section for your server. If you're on Infinity, I'd be interested in some.
3) Transfer them to other characters with the assistance of another player.
4) Give them away? This seems a better option than deleting them. Have a costume contest? -
I'll be there. I think my stalker is high enough. If not, I'll bring a tank.

Quote:"I'm not in this world to live up to your expectations. Neither are you here to live up to mine."Since I had previously respected him for all the work he put into helping badgers. I think mostly I was offended that someone I thought was a good solid player decided to troll the market boards for no appreciable reason.

As far as I can tell, the design intent is that some missions absolutely must not be auto-completeable since they give significant rewards. This seems reasonable to me.

Quote:Wait, who are "you guys"? And "benign"?Toward that end, I should declare some terms here.
You guys seem to speak of 'flipping' with regard to a measure of responsibility taken for what you are doing, or an otherwise seemingly benign motive.
When I speak of 'attacking', I refer to a malicious attempt to manipulate prices for it's own sake. Where profit over the long run is irrelevant so long as you tag those few 'must have now' buyers that will pay something obscene.
"—Synonyms
1. good, kindly, benignant, benevolent, tender, humane, gentle, compassionate."
I make no claims that my activity is beneficial in any way. NOR is it any sort of attack. My goal is to get inf. No more, no less. There is no altruistic, nor malicious intent on my part. -
Too many tanks? Vandal is a punk. We could have 8 tanks and beat him like a rented mule.

Quote:There certainly is a disconnect. Now you're describing 'cornering the market' and it does not work except on a very short-term basis. The part in bold actually made me chuckle. In this case, there is a disconnect.
Through the scenarios and definitions you have set up, yes, removing flippers would arbitrarily raise prices by default. It would then go to show that the actual market doesn't work through the scenario and definition you have established. It breaks down at this point.
"Because the next sale always goes to the lowest price, no matter how much higher or lower than the bid it is, flippers must list below everyone else to get action."
This assumes that listing low is the only alternative to dealing with the obstacle of low bids, as opposed to simply buying them out to relist at the higher price. I'm actually surprised at this oversight, as you literally listed such a strategy in the preceding paragraph.
Ah! The basis of your misunderstanding: "the attack". You're under the impression that flipping is done as 'an attack' or some sort of short-term action, presumably to manipulate the market. No. Flipping is an ongoing process to EARN INFLUENCE. I've been flipping one item for YEARS. YEARS, I say! If that's an "attack", it would be a siege.Quote:The flipper only needs to account for low-ball bids entering the market during the attack. This is easily accomplished by placing a net of buy orders to catch them.
P.S. The kind of "attacks" you're talking about do indeed occur. But that's not flipping.
